Addie I've been lurking on it, but not joined yet - will do so tomorrow after more BFP's! The thread is here

Glad to hear you're also cramping - I've not really had any nausea just feeling quite gassy (sorry for TMI!) and knackered. Had a nap earlier and feel like going to bed soon which is v sad! It has been an exciting day though!

chancewouldbeafinething · 29/01/2010 20:23

My feeling was right! yeay!!!worrisome &addie congrats on the BFP!
worrisome you must be so relieved that you dont have to go to the clinic

bunny I am from Sydney, have been living in UK for nearly 6 years now, DH is a brit (so am i now actually) but we plan to go back later this year. Now i understand the late night posts hope my hometown is treating you well!

kkas I hope you ahve a great trip, and dont worry too much, famous people are always flying around the world look at danni!

Well after my visit to the dentist i havent been able to eat anything but soup from a straw..which was a funny sight at work today. I am looking forward to next week when I can chew again.

Good luck to claire drewsgirl and anyone else POAS this weekend

addie81 · 29/01/2010 20:37

worriesome i am also gassy and knackered! glad its not just me. I am also going to bed now.

bunnygirl80 · 29/01/2010 21:42

Yorkshire It seems like you're getting competitive over which month will get the most BFPs There's still plenty of us here to get February BFPs!

chance your hometown is fab, we absolutely love it here. Are you thinking of moving back here, or just coming for a visit?

evilgiraffe you must have a supreme level of self control to hold off testing until next weekend

hermya I had tons of nausea and cramping throughout the second half of my first cycle off the pill. I convinced myself I must be pg - which would have been a miracle as DH was in Oz when I ov'd - but I think it was just everything starting working again. Almost like all my insides had gone rusty and ceased up through lack of use

seablue glad the spotting is staying away. I hope it's because there's a bean implanted i there, but even if not it's good that things are settling down for you

felicity I know my mum will be upset when she finds out her first grandchild will be so far away. I have toyed with the idea of pretending it's an accident - then wondered if she would be disappointed that by the age of 29 I can't take responsibility for contraception

whiteroses I don't think DH wants to know about my cycle for baby making purposes - he just likes the extra shagging!!!

My temp has gone way up today, and coupled with ewcm the last 2 days it would appear that I have actually ov'd at a sensible time in my cycle. Don't quite believe it yet though, so will continue bd every other day until temp has stayed up for a while.

Hermya321 · 29/01/2010 21:45

Evening everbody I've so been looking forward to this weekend for a bit of a chance to relax and take a load off. Shame I'll have to spend the majority of it revising, but there you go. How is everybody else this evening?

I'm becoming a bit suspicious of what's going on with my body at the moment. I'm still feeling sicky and it's really not normal for me, I've also still not ov'd yet nor have I seen a temp shift on my chart. I would normally just leave my body to do it's own thing but this sicky feeling is driving me mental. So if it's still not calmed down by next week I'm off to visit my doc. I've also still been getting those pokey crampy feelings as well. Mental I tell ya!

Drew You're two days late, gonna test or are you waiting a bit longer?

pixiestix · 29/01/2010 22:22

Addie and Worrisome - just to reassure you a bit, I have been having stretchy-uterus feelings since 3+4, when I first realised that something was up! I'm 5+2 now and still getting them every day. Sometimes they are quite bad, but haven't had any bleeding at all - its just our bodies making a bit more space for the little beans, I think!! So pleased for you both!

claireinthecommunity · 30/01/2010 01:38

A quick one from me, just got in and I'm pretty tired. I've decided not to test in the morning, I had another small amount of spotting tonight and want to wait it out a bit longer to see what happens.

Hope you all have a good weekend

Morning all

Took a CB digi test this morning and it promptly said 'Pregnant 1-2' so I guess I can start believing now!!! I hope you don't mind me hanging around still as well as jumping on the grads thread - I'd love to keep in touch with how you're all getting on.

Claire sorry to hear about more bleeding - I hope it doesn't continue.

pixie thanks heaps for the reassurance!

BTW my DH has decided that the bean's pre-birth nickname should be 'Mr Teeny' which is the monkey in Simpsons for those in the dark!! will have to put a stop to that!! Have a great day all!

Kaloki · 30/01/2010 11:28

You have to keep us updated worrisome, and all the other grads!!

zippys · 30/01/2010 15:15

Hi everyone,

Firstly huge congrats to Ali and Worrisome. I think we all need to book in for tests!!

Sorry I havent been on here much but TTC has been at the back of my thoughts at the moment.

Had a pretty scary week, now to add on to the sickness I have some numbness down my left side so the doctors are now quite worried. Got sent straight from the doctors to the hospital for futher tests. They think that the cause could be a leison (sorry cant spell!) on the back my brain. I will find out after an MRI scan which is scheduled as an emergency one but is still the week after next. I am trying not to worry about is, as they could be unrelated and I dont see the point in worrying too much Although I still have those moments of pure worry, usually just before I go to sleep.

But back to TTC, think AF is due on Tues, dont feel any different to any other month so dont think this is the month for me.

Sorry for the me me me post but thought you would want an update.

Good luck to those testing in the next few days.

WorrisomeHeart · 30/01/2010 15:36

God zippys so sorry to hear your news. I really hope you're able to get some worry-free rest. Here's hoping that it will all be something absolutely minor and not a problem at all.

Kaloki · 30/01/2010 16:25

Oh Zippys

claireinthecommunity · 30/01/2010 16:53

Zippy, thank you for letting us know what's been happening, I'm stunned that you are being asked to wait so long for the MRI scan. As Worrisome has said, I hope you can get some worry free rest between now and then and hope that it turns out to be something minor - thinking of you x

This does put all the stress over TTC into some sort of perspective...

maamalady · 30/01/2010 18:01

Hope you're ok, zippys, that sounds really shit

Turns out my sensible brain was right after all - NOT pregnant, AF has arrived today However, I am somewhat amused at myself for having a totally average length cycle for the first one after the pill - 28 days! I'll put that as my UCL for now, and see what happens next time.

Next time someone updates the list, could you move me back to the back? I am certain I will fuck it up if I try updating the list myself!

New stats:
evilgiraffe TTC#1 Cycle 2 UCL 28 CD1

Calyx · 30/01/2010 18:22

Oh poor zippys I'm sorry you have to wait so long for a scan Where is the numbness, is it patches or like a whole arm/leg or what? I hope you feel okay and manage to get some rest and relaxation. I am sending you good vibes to feel better and am keeping my fingers crossed that you are completely fine xxx

Shame about AF arriving evilgiraffe but hey, nice cycle length for first one off the pill right enough

Worrisome LOL@ Mr Teeny, I bet you end up thinking that yourself since it's the first nickname that came up What nickname are you thinking of if any?

Gotta go, catch up later, no news from me today except had a GORGEOUS haircut xxx

My wait is over - AF has arrived in full flow Pretty annoyed at myself for letting the symptom spotting get out of hand... And, just to add to the frustration, my usual cycle length of 29-31 days has turned into 33 for this month! (I suppose I should average it out for my stats)

I'll put us both at the bottom of the list evilgiraffe - good luck for this coming month

Great news on the Clearblue digital result worrisome Mr Teeny?!!

Claire Awww I'm sorry that you're kicking yourself for symptom spotting because I was egging you on! We're crayzeeeee baby ladies so it's par for the course

zippys · 30/01/2010 19:42

claire, luciloo and evilgiraffe sorry to hear about AF's arrival, I thought this was the month for you Claire . Just think feb is going to be our best month yet so you will all get your BFP next month

Glad you have had a lovely hair cut Calyx it makes such a difference to how you feel doesnt it.

Thanks for all the lovely comments everyone, its lovely that I get the support even when its non pregnancy related x.

I just have less sensation down my left side rather than actual numbness so it could be nothing, BUT obviously something is making me sick.

I know what you mean about the MRI, this is the earliest I can get as normally there is a couple of months waiting list. So at least they havent made me wait that long.

Harry2007 · 30/01/2010 19:48

Hello ladies,
I'm back on mumsnet after a break - a long break in fact! Had my ds in jan 2007 and now thinking of trying for another.

Congrats to all who have had BFP's and crossed fingers and baby dust for everyone else x

I'm on my first cycle after coming off the pill so I'm not really sure of my cycle length but I'll go with the 28 day norm until I know for definite.

I'd be grateful if someone could add me to the next list revision x

Harry2007 TTC#2 Cycle 1 UCL28? CD15

pixiestix · 30/01/2010 19:51

Oh Zippys that's awful Hopefully they are giving you an idea of the worst case scenario and it will be something really silly when they actually diagnose it. How horrible to have to wait so long for your MRI

Sorry that AF has hit you Lucie, Giraffe and Claire - I feel really guilty as well for egging you on Claire, and your symptoms did sound really promising. If its any consolation - I had my own weird and promising 33 day cycle the month before I fell!

Calyx - I am of your haircut, I look like the wild witch of Borneo at the moment!

Worrisome - Mr Teeny?!! LOL! My DH hasnt come up with any nicknames for the LO yet, but he has taken to calling me Mrs Hormone which is really pissing me off (and reinforcing the nickname!)

claireinthecommunity · 30/01/2010 20:22

Hey, don't feel guilty Calyx and pixie - it was self-induced

Zippy, I was beginning to think it was my month too But because of the length of my cycle and February being a short month, I will miss out on a February BFP - if I do fall this cycle, a BFP will be at the beginning of March for me!!

A warm welcome to Harry2007

WorrisomeHeart · 30/01/2010 20:25

Sorry to those who AF has hit - claire can I add my promise not to egg on symptom-spotting? But just a thought - cycle 9 was the lucky one for me so maybe a Feb BFP is on it's way for you...

calyx Annoyingly I have also started calling the bean 'Mr Teeny' ! TBH I'm getting such a kick out of saying 'the baby' at the moment that I'm using it at all possible opportunities!!

pixie lol at Mrs Hormone. Mine haven't been too bad yet, although I had yet another sobbing fit at Brothers and Sisters earlier (think I may need to cut back on that while I'm preggers!) and even more disturbingly, I welled up watching Top Gear when Richard Hammond said choosing a car was like trying to choose between his children !!
