Sorry, Aries and Kkas - I missed your posts (I've been so dumb lately! ) Good luck for Sunday, Kkas - I'll be checking in to read how it went! And Aries - does that mean you'll test tomorrow? "Symptoms" sound promising anyway! Good luck!

Calyx · 04/03/2010 07:14

Urgh temp dropped this morning and am feeling mild crampiness so will be taking AF stuff to work. Haven't been hopeful this 2ww but now feeling very low. Sighhhhhhhh.

Fingers crossed for evil and Aries and will check in after work.

Hugs to all (mostly because I need hugs) x

Calyx · 04/03/2010 07:16

And crossed for you too kkas, forgot to say!

maamalady · 04/03/2010 07:45

Bunny - I have absolutely no clue as to when I ov'd! Not really paying attention aside from what CD day I'm on. Arrgh! Oh well, will just have to wait and see won't we.

Fingers crossed for Aries and kkas!

MrsWajs · 04/03/2010 08:08

Hi!
I'm new to this site but stumbled across it so thought I'd join in! Like a lot of you here i'm ttc sand have been since last august but no luck so far!!
Would be good to chat with people going thru the same.

kkas · 04/03/2010 10:13

hi mrswajs i started TTC in august too, so i assume you're around cycle 7-8 depending on how long they are? just let us know all your details (cycle day, usual cycle length, etc) and someone will add you to the list!

thanks for all the finger-crossing guys

today, temp still up and boobs not hurting but larger and firmer. usually by now they would be very sore, so at least there's something different? but other than that, nothing. thrush has gone. not sure if i can wait another 3 days to test, but i will be strong.

good luck aries - of course we will be here for you regardless of the result!

kkas · 04/03/2010 10:15

sorry calyx somehow missed your post! sorry you're feeling low. [hugs back]

WhiteRoses · 04/03/2010 11:35

Calyx have a hug... x

Kkas - I'm SOOO hopeful for you this month! I know I shouldn't encourage you but I can't help it! Can't wait for you to test!

Oh, and, I thought I tested early on the 11th January (thought I was only just 11DPO) but it turns out I was nearly five weeks pregnant at that point! So there's a good argument for testing stupidly early! (I know, I'm a bad person encouraging you all... I go away now! )

FelicityFlick · 04/03/2010 13:00

Hi All,

Just a quicy to say good luck to kkas, giraffe and aries- weren't you going to test today aries or was it tomorrow?

Love to all and Hi to mrswajs and lucky7

xxxx

Ariesgirl · 04/03/2010 13:06

I can't decide felicity! Am getting some vaguely crampy sensations and some "pinkishness" (if you're with me), so am starting to think it's not my month and will wait a couple of days to see if AF turns up proper. Sorry to be boring. Someone else said somewhere that taking vitamins and stuff may mess you around a bit at first so maybe it's that affecting me.

zippys · 04/03/2010 13:59

Hi Kkas nice to see you back your symptoms sound really promising - good luck for Sunday.

Calyx sorry to hear about temp drop and cramps. [big hug back]

Hi Mrswaj I have been trying since May last year so I know how you are feeling. I can however say that this board is lovely and you can always come here if you need a rant or hug.

Aries sorry to hear af maybe on its way, but you never know until its here.

White you can encourage all you like How is the sickness now - hope you are feeling a little better.

Thank you everyone for your comments, I am will have the CT tomorrow, do you think I should test before I go? If on a 34 day cycle (avg) then only 3 days early - but have no symptoms at all

sorry I havnt got to everyone again! I have a client due in in 5 mins!!

x

sevans · 04/03/2010 14:57

Yorkshire, I just read your news! CONGRATULATIONS!!! I am so happy for you! You must be over the moon.

zippys, I had a CT scan done on my chest a few weeks ago. Of course I had to tell them the date of my last period which was 10/10/09 so you can imagine them freaking out because they thought I may be pregnant. Unfortunately I had to explain that I had a miscarriage and had surgery and haven't had a proper period since. I was very nervous for the CT scan since I've never had one before but it wasn't bad at all. They did give me an IV to insert iodine in my system to produce better scans but that isn't always necessary. Just depends on what the doctor says. Thank goodness all of my results came back normal. Best of luck to you with your scan. Maybe it wouldn't hurt to go ahead and do a test.

I started back on the pill this week. I figured since AF came naturally, I would rather have regular periods during this time we aren't TTC to avoid the annoying spotting I had last time I was off the pill before the BFP. I have two months worth of birth control and then at that point we will decide whether to start trying or continue waiting.

I hope everyone is doing well. This thread of ours has been the luckiest lately! Sending lots of babydust for more BFPs!

FelicityFlick · 04/03/2010 15:40

Oh gosh Aries, if vitamins mess you up then I am buggered! Did you see how many things I said I was taking?! Oh well, at least I have until July to get sorted before I begin in earnest! I hope some of you will still be here to keep me company?! (well, I don't but I do if you know what I mean?! Of course I want you all to get BFPs ASAP but I still want all of you lovelies to chat too!) I think you should try and hang in there until the weekend- Sunday if you can and then if no af test then...You're a strong lady! Or... maybe Monday night when dh is back?

Good luck tomorrow zippys- I really hope you find an answer to your illness. I am going through a similar thing at the minute (well not personally- my Dad is) and feeling worried about my Dad at the min. He has been having really bad headaches, neck pains and sickness over the past few weeks/months. Doctor has admitted that he hasn't got a clue what is wrong as Dad has a raging temperature and sickness which indicates an infection but all blood tests for infections etc have come back fine so now has to go for a brain scan. I think it is the not knowing thats the worst so I really feel for you my love. I also think it wouldn't hurt to do a test, just to put your mind at rest perhaps?

Big hug to Calyx

Almost Friday again

xxxx

claireinthecommunity · 04/03/2010 15:59

Afternoon all , such a lovely sunny day where I am today, just got back from shopping with a friend - lots of little ones to coo over in town!

A warm welcome to MrsWajs, hope your stay here is short and sweet (in the nicest possible way ).

I've got a feeling we're going to see some more BFPs over the next few days - good luck all.

My period has definitely finished now. Our plan for this month is to shag - a lot

MrsWajs · 04/03/2010 16:59

Hi again,

Glad there are people here feeling exacetly the same as me!!

I'm on cycle 8 now, CD 16 so hoping for the big O anyday now! I'm using ov prediction kits but this is my first month using them properly again.
Periods when I first came of pill were religously 30 days for the first 3 months then went up to 32 and down to 27 sometimes so got a bit lost in it all and was just adopting a go with the flow technique but got tired of that not working to so am back on the kits and charting too!

This is me ttc baby number one altho my partner has a child from a previous relationship.

luckyseven · 04/03/2010 19:35

Thanks for the lovely welcome girls, i really like this board, i used to dip in and out of a 'stuff you throw at weddings' board but it is much comfier here.

According to CBFM i peaked on Monday and Tuesday CD11 & 12 but my right ovary is really sore and "ouch" sore when i sit down - do you think egg could still be in there?

Will keep going in earnest but I stopped temp taking this month as it was indicating ovulation sometimes before the CBFM sometimes a couple of days after but never matched the CBFM - which would you put more faith in?

haloflo · 04/03/2010 19:38

Well I think im entering the dreaded 2ww (i've no idea when I ovulated but I think I had EWCM on Sunday. As a result I'm stressing my poor brain out now.

One min I'm wishing the next 2 weeks away just so I'll know for sure. Keep thinking I should think negative so if anything happens i'll be pleasantly surprised rather than thinking postive and being disappointed.

I then go on to day dream about having a baby before christmas and wishing the whole year away. Then I tell myself to snap out of it, try and focus on the moment! Argh anyway please tell me this is normal.

Its not helped as I've had the last days off work alone (annual computer year end downtime & I hate sitting in the office with nothing to do) and have had way too much time to let my mind wonder. Need to be busy I think!

DP's gone out tonight so I'm going to distract myself with all the rubbishy TV I like but he doesn't watch with me!

kurlyvoice · 04/03/2010 20:13

Hello girls!

Big welcome to mrswajs and luckyseven, and sorry it's taken me a few days to say hello to you both. [waves energetically]

haloflo, I'm with you on the wishing time away and have to keep stopping myself!

Well, there has been no sign of AF since the slight spotting on Saturday and all symptoms have gone away so I am officially CROSS. I wanted to ask sevans (lovely to see you here, btw) what it was that the doctors gave you to kick start your period after stopping the pill the first time? I'm well into month 3 since going pill-free and am going crazy!

Fingers crossed for all those close to testing, big hugs to those on the 2ww and, as for the rest SWI (or SwithoutI, like me) enjoy!

Got to get back to my marking now, but wanted to catch up quickly. Apologies for being girl-of-much-rant at the moment...

zippys · 04/03/2010 20:13

evening ladies

Hi Sevans lovely to hear from you. I can understand you going back on the pill, although do you think it will affect your natural cycle? Thanks for the advice re the scan, I have been told that I will need the IV but I am ok re needles so not too worried about it. Strangely I am not worried at all about tomorrow, just wanting to get some answers.

Flick I hope your Dad gets better soon and they find out whats wrong. I sometimes forget that it is worrying for people around me as well.

Claire you made me lol at lots of shagging I wish I had spent the afternoon shopping. I have just got home from work after a 13 hour day which is long even by my standards!! Did you get much? I got a new dress at the weekend (have to admit was swayed by fact its aline from under boobs so space for bump!)

Lucky sorry not used either temping or CBFM as I think I will far too obsessed, I use EWCM and generally how I feel so sorry I cant be much help. I would suggest you SWI anyway

Haloflo dont worry it is totally normal to stress like this, I do it myself all the time. If I get my BFP next month I will due around xmas day.

Well off to get some food now, have lovely evening x

mumnerves · 04/03/2010 20:34

Evening ladies!

Hi and welcome MrsWajs

Big hugs to you calyx Sorry to hear you're down BFP will happen for you and the rest of us one day

Zippys hope the CT goes ok tomorrow. I'd test just to put my mind at ease

Aries I can't believe how strong you are about not poas. Hope the AF wasn't too heavy! Do let us know either way as we're all here for you!

haloflo you are perfectly normal and in the correct place to be a crazy baby lady! lol I watch rubbish tv when DH is away too e.g. SATC will& grace etc. I can also cry freely then at the sad bits without looking too stupid!

Well, temp dip yesterday and the witch came!
I feel so stupid now and really pissed off at my body for playing tricks on me!
I consoled myself by making what I've been craving all along.....anchovies and choc lol! umm and I actually enjoyed it (hide icon) I'm definately not right up there!

Am going to go to the GP tomorrow to ask her for a check up wrt the nosebleeds and I've been having a niggling pain in my lower right abdomen for the past few months. I've also been feeling a bit faint and as I haven't a little bean to blame all these symptoms on I thought I'd better get them checked out as I'm still getting them today.
Have a lovely evening all!

Ariesgirl · 04/03/2010 21:04

I'm not really strong at all. I'm not! I'm a moral coward because the only reason I'm not doing it is because it means I can live without knowing for sure for a couple more days. If it says positive then I'll gibber with panic at the thought of a f-wit like me being a parent, and if it says negative I'll give in to an orgy of self pity. So I feel better not knowing at this juncture!

haloflo · 04/03/2010 21:25

Sorry about AF mumsnerves. Hope your visit to the docs is ok too. My tv of choice tonight involves snog marry avoid, the true life stories programme on channel 4 now & skins later.
I've got my fingers crossed for you ariesgirl whenever you decide to test!

mumnerves · 04/03/2010 21:31

Ariesgirl I think you sound noway like a f-wit (for starters unlike me you can spell) and the orgy of self pity is just something that is much deserved with every AF....but I really do hope you get a BFP

haloflo thanks, I'm going to watch trueblood after this, good old trashy vampire series is exactly what I need!

sevans · 04/03/2010 21:34

Hi kurlyvoice! The doctor gave me provera to induce my period. I had been off the pill for almost three months and didn't get one period, just a lot of brown spotting. I took provera for ten days and soon after I took the 10th pill, my period came. I became pregnant that month with some assistance to ovulate (a pill called Clomid that you take for 5 days at the beginning of your cycle). I felt very lucky to ovulate the first month on Clomid but to also get pregnant the first month ovulating...but we all know it didn't end well. I don't mind talking about it at all so if anyone has questions, please ask. It can be very frustrating TTC and not ovulating regularly. If anyone is on the same boat, I would suggest to get any assistance as soon as possible. That is the ONLY thing I am grateful for with my last doctor is that she didn't waste much time with me trying naturally.

zippys, I am not really worried about the pill affecting my natural cycle because I was very irregular before the pill and bet that I would still be today. I will be crossing my fingers for you that you will get all of the answers you need from your scan. I'm glad to hear that you are not worried about the actual scan. I was terrified because I didn't know much about the procedure and was told I needed it that day so I had no time to prepare and find out more about it. I thought I had to go all the way through one of those tightly closed chambers but luckily it isn't that!
