Haha, if DP did that he'd find himself eating the whistle!

Ariesgirl · 26/02/2010 13:31

That's it. If the boobs aren't going to triple in size immediately then I'm calling the whole thing off.

Kaloki, you mean you didn't have a whistle before? That's just weird.

Pidgin · 26/02/2010 14:18

if it comforts you, aries, my mum's bosoms went up two cup sizes after having me and stayed that way.

Ariesgirl · 26/02/2010 15:30

It does comfort me a little. However also to be borne in mind is own mother's modest bosom before babies, inflated whilst having and feeding babies and deflated like gone off balloons after babies and remained that way. Tis only now at the age of 62 that she has put on sufficient weight to increase to a B cup. That's me that is, I know it. Sigh. Still, more than a handful's a waste as they say

fulhamgirl · 26/02/2010 15:35

Exciting, exciting, exciting!!!

Pidgin, Kaloki and Aries- Fingers firmly crossed. Because of my time difference I hope that when I log on in the morning there may be some special news waiting...

Loving the whistle and the special underwear story!

Why on Earth would you need a whistle?!!

Hi to the graduates!!! Love it when you pop in- Miss your driving stories Hermya!

seablue · 26/02/2010 16:11

kaloki - I'd be very worried about the whistle. Could be to summon her son? DH's uncle just presented us with some really grotesque hand-painted plates he bought at a well-known tourist destination 20 years ago. He had his partner are cleaning out their loft because they're convinced they'll die soon (that was a fun supper conversation!). I'm still not sure this forgives the plates. We feel too guilty to throw them away, but we can't give them to charity because they live quite near us. So DH took them to his parents' house hundreds of miles away last weekend to beg them to take them to a charity shop for him! Sometimes I do wonder what it's like to be inside these people's heads.

However, much more excitingly - pidgin - wow. You must be beside yourself. Get more tests! Test! Maybe your spotting was implantation!

ariesgirl - put that test away! I can see you!
But you don't need the boobs - my friend didn't have the boobs. Nor my SIL.

Seeing good friend tonight and have one of those feelings that I'm going to be told the Good News. I'd be really happy for her if so, as she had a MC last year. But I'm so premenstrual I'm also worried I'll just start crying in self-pity in the restaurant...

If you could all send strength vibes, that would be wonderful!

have great weekends - and good luck to all those in the 2ww

Ariesgirl · 26/02/2010 16:20

Strength Seablue, strength [wafts it Seablue's way].

No not going to test. That would be silly.

Pidgin · 26/02/2010 16:27

Wishing you strength seablue - strong vibrations as my mother says (60s throwback I think). It will be you soon.

Thanks for all the feedback and info ladies. I have basically got no work done all day. Finally gave up and drove to Sainsbury's at lunch time for more tests. They didn't have any CB digis at all - I was practically hanging on to the shelf-filling guy's lapels begging him to get some from out back, but he couldn't find any. Although I did get to spend a fun ten minutes following him around the supermarket while he shouted to every colleague he encountered "This lady wants a digital pregnancy test!" at full volume, and all the old people gave me pitying looks.

Anyway - did another FR (and bugger the expense). A definite positive. Just the one line in the pregnancy bit this time. It's still such early days - AF not due till Sun - that I am trying to remind myself not to get over-excited yet.

I'm going away for the weekend and if AF doesn't appear in the mean time will test again on Monday - it might feel a bit more definite then.

In the mean time thank you all for being just generally lovely and fabulous. Good weekends all and good luck to those in the 2ww. (And just as a general point of information, I have literally no symptoms. Which might also be why it doesn't feel real yet. I have everything crossed though.)

Ariesgirl · 26/02/2010 16:54

A positive! A positive! . Very rare to have a false positive. So they say. Try and have a relaxing weekend!

maamalady · 26/02/2010 17:43

A positive! Fantastic! Congrats pidgin

Still nothing to report here, it is day 28 and no signs of anything happening either AF or symptoms-wise. Arrrrgh!

All is glum in Aries household. Ariesboy away on a course for whole weekend leaving Ariesgirl to symptom-obsess all on her lonesome with only a moody ungrateful cat for company, and a longing to drink a whole bottle of Merlot and eat greasy Chinese.

Kaloki · 26/02/2010 19:33

Congrats pidgin!! Calligraphy that's really confusing!

ariesgirl Aww, you can symptom obsess with us!

Ariesgirl · 26/02/2010 19:39

Thanks Kaloki. Time to put on the rugby I think and leer at Mike Phillips

bunnygirl80 · 26/02/2010 21:36

Congrats pidgin I was so excited about your three lines I ran downstairs as soon as I woke up this morning to get online to check for news. DH thinks I'm mad as 7:30 on a Saturday morning is for lie ins not checking to see whether people I've never met before are pg

calligraphy that sounds very promising. FR are more sensitive than ordinary Clearblue - so if you only have a faint line on a FR you may not have enough hcg for other tests to pick it up. I have everything crossed for you - let us know as soon as you POAS again

kaloki every woman needs a whistle - you can use it to summon DH when you put his tea on the table. Or if he's needed for BD

aries just stay on here the whole time and you'll barely even notice he's gone

DH and I had a date night last night. We didn't go anywhere, but we turned the TV off and actually had a conversation all evening. It's a long time since weve done that and it was really nice.

The topic came round to grammar at one point (sounds exciting I know) and I said how much I love the word ampersand (the name for the & sign for those of you not in the know!). He reckoned it would make a nice girl's name...personally I think it's just a nice sounding word and any child with a name that weird will surely turn out to be a bit strange [smilee] I must remember NOT to let DH register the birth when we have a baby or it'll end up needig to change it's name by deed poll to avoid people laughing at it!

Hermya321 · 27/02/2010 01:31

Wow how exciting!! I'm on the edge of my seat here.....again! I fell off but have got back on ahain.

Felicity Right do you want a driving story, ok well the long and short of it is that after three weeks of tutition and then a positive pregnancy test I've forgotten how to. I read 'What to expect' and they said it's one of the first things to go. Great! I went to work this afternoon and I came upto the roundabout before my turning. I looked at the roundabout, thought 'huh', got to it and paused and wondered 'why've I stopped?' and then wondered 'which roundabout is this and why am I here?' and then finally figured it out. I got off the roundabout and was quite grateful that nobody saw me. I am trying to put a positive spin on it in that last weekend I did manage some blinding overtakes that before my course would have put the fear of God in me (I wasn't stupid, they were planned and all that). I still see other people doing that though, earlier this week I saw some idiot in what can only be described as a 'pratmobile' overtake on a corner. Now fair enough if you can see ahead and you KNOW it's clear. But no this was a blind bend and he just went for it, he was very lucky he didn't have a head on tbh.

Hermya321 · 27/02/2010 01:34

Pidgin HOW VERY EXCITING!!!!!!!!!!!! Congratulations!!! Thats so cool!!

Kaloki What in the name of Bernard Manning's trousers would you need a whistle for?????

FelicityFlick · 27/02/2010 02:41

Me too bunny! Except I think I am even sadder than you... dh is away on a course this weekend (so I feel your pain aries) and so after checking on here last night when I got in I brought my lap top to bed with me so I could check on pidgin and her three lines as soon as I woke up!

Congratulations pidgin- hope you have a fantastic weekend away and really relax. Where are you off to?

Calligraphy- That does sound confusing. Have you tried a clear blue digital? Then you wouldn't have to worry about what the line meant cos you would see it in words?

Aries- my two cats have been horrid to me since dh left on Thursday. They are ignoring me and just walking round the house crying and looking for dh. They normally come into bed for a cuddle in the morning but oh no, not today. I shan't be telling dh how much the cats missed him or he'll get a big head!

Awwww hermya- that was perfect! Just what I had been missing! The overtaking sounds impressive. I am terrified to over take and would rather drive 1mph than think about overtaking. Lucky no one was behind you at the roundabout!!

I really think that we are going to have a bumper month of BFP on here! We have so many people with really promising symptoms - I am so excited! So excited that I am giving you a day off bunny and will do the stats!

I am off with my friend today to her wedding dress fitting which will be fun. I love all things wedding related, my dream job would be as a wedding planner!

PS. Forgot to ask seablue, were you told the Good News at your dinner?

Ariesgirl · 27/02/2010 12:14

Am here to symptoms obsess and boob-update, as invited. Here are the fors and againsts as befits a sensible, together, grown up and intelligent woman such as myself.

  1. still queasy spinny head. Could be virus
  2. twingey tummy and back, partic in right ovary area and just to right of spine. Could be PMT
  3. achey boobs and "twingley" nipples! As above
  4. v tired and a bit weepy. As above and missing Husband
  5. very wee-ey smelling bright yellow wee and strong smelling freesias on coffee table. Have v good sense of smell anyway and am guzzling B vitamin supps. Lots of aforementioned wees. Am drinking lots of water - GO FIGURE. AF due Thurs.

Make of that what you will.

Calyx · 27/02/2010 12:26

Hello girls! I'm sorry I've not managed to come on properly for ages.

Pidgin WOW I would be a gibbering WRECK with the three lines on that test! And another line on the other test... you're SOOOO pregnant Congratulations on your BFP!

Hermya I was LOL at your driving story, I can just see that happening to me! I don't like overtaking either, I was driving DH and myself home this morning from his brother's 40th birthday party, going along the motorway, and normally would just stay behind lorries etc on the inside lane at 55 or 60 (plus my car shakes if it goes towards 70!) but he was going to be late to start work so I had to welly it. So I was looking in the mirror and there's nobody behind at all, I thought okay I'll accelerate and overtake and it'll be no stress at all. And what happens - what always happens! I'm just pulling alongside the lorry and trying to get the speed up faster to overtake when the lorry starts to go faster too grrr! And then I notice there's an Audi (with the fancy arrogant headlights) right up behind me, honestly about 2 feet behind my bumper. Sudden STRESS and I still can't get above about 65 and I don't want to shift down to 4th to accelerate again! It seemed to take AGES to get ahead of the lorry and slip in front. Then the blardy Audi whooshes past and indicates and comes in about a foot in front of me and slowed down!!! Well I was furious! There were no off ramps nearby so he didn't need to do that. Arghhh! But we made it in time and my car survived. I hate overtaking!

LOL at Kaloki with the whistle! Is it a dog whistle or like a PE whistle?!

I'm off to have a cuppa tea. No symptoms here at all and my temp is just above coverline. Pretty sure nothing's happening this month (except AF of course) but am keeping my fingers crossed anyway as we DTD around the right time.

Lots and lots of luck to everyone else who will be POAS this week, I'm still checking in on you all

xxxx

Calyx · 27/02/2010 12:30

Aries my money's on you being pg... the twingey nipples and super spidey sense of smell! I hope your head/queasyness goes away though as it sounds horrible. Have a loan of Mr Hug and Kiss (teddy my niece cuddles when she's here) until your man's back home with you

Ariesgirl · 27/02/2010 12:33

Thanks Calyx and will borrow Mr Hug and Kiss if you don't mind. Have just tried to cuddle the cat and she bit me. What a bitch.
