Hi girls just a quick peek in, awwww kaloki I hope AF has stayed away still? Was it an Internet cheapy?

Hiya to sevans and yayyyy for the natural AF!

I'm just working and no symptoms to spot, in the 2ww and we DTD at the right time so hoping it's worked. Except for more creamy CM than usual (I think) I have nothing to report, temp dipped then jumped on cd 14 but it's just on the coverline and not going higher. Could it be my icebox of a bedroom skewing the temps I wonder

luck to all, better get dressed and head to work!

Bellaby · 25/02/2010 08:41

Bunny your MIL comment made me laugh out loud. Am in a coffee shop so getting funny looks.

Sevans good news that AF is here

Kaloki sorry it wasn't the news you wanted but am keeping all my fingers & toes crossed for you

hello everyone else

this thread has made me symptom obsessed. Nothing to report from me although have had some mild stomach cramps which I am taking as a good sign that the old body is getting back into action again after being on the pill so long.

I have a client dinner to tonight - been avoiding them because of the drinking aspect (everyone knows I enjoy a drink so it's been easier to avoid than explainwhy I'm not drinking. It's a big part of my job so I fear I will have to have a few drinks when I am out although will try to drink as little as possible. Does anyone else have this dilemma?

Have a wonderful day

Bella xxx

Ariesgirl · 25/02/2010 10:10

I'm just saying re the alcohol that I've cut back on drinking because of a new year's resolution to be more healthy and hopefully make everyone else feel guilty for overindulging. My husband's family are all coming down soon and they're massive drinkers and usually it's a case on when in Rome. But actually cutting right back has made me realise just how much my PIL drink and how it really can't be healthy for anyone in their sixties (or anyone at all). My MIL will have a glass of white wine with her lunch, and two or three more in the evening and that's every single day. I'd say that was considerably more than her 14 units . And my FIL's girth is starting to resemble Jabba the Hutt. They're exactly the type who close their ears to advice and warnings because they think they should be allowed to do what they want because they pay their taxes - they leave all lights on, drive absolutely everywhere, refuse to recycle or compost despite having a massive garden etc etc. God, this started out as a piece of advice for Bellaby and has turned into an in-laws rant. I do apologise! (hopefully not the start of PMT )

Kaloki · 25/02/2010 12:57

It wasn't a cheap kit, it was a CD digital, but there's still no AF (despite cramping last night). So we'll see.

Kaloki · 25/02/2010 12:58

or CB digital. I blame the fact that I have a plaster on my finger thanks to a scaredy rattie.

pixiestix · 25/02/2010 13:19

I've just seen honeymoo over on the November Ante Natal clubs thread so I guess she must have got her BFP this month.

How are you feeling Kaloki ? Are you ok?

sevans · 25/02/2010 18:44

bunny, that is too funny! I would have been sooo embarrassed too!

I'm sorry kaloki but I will keep my fingers crossed from you since AF hasn't arrived.

AF is still flowing for me. I am thinking about starting back on the pill this Sunday (my pill is a Sunday start). I am going to call my doctor tomorrow to see if it's ok. The three months I was off the pill before my bfp I was spotting like crazy and it was super annoying. Although it was nice not getting a period, I would rather have regular periods and no spotting other days. I figure I can just take the pill until we TTC again. It's odd to be on a TTC forum and taking birth control pills!

maamalady · 25/02/2010 20:25

Bunny - your MIL is a loon! Surely it would be obvious what the idea was?!

No sign of AF as yet, day 27 today... Will be taking the usual pile of sanitary products in my handbag tomorrow - hopefully sod's law will keep AF away!

bunnygirl80 · 25/02/2010 21:52

pixie Thanks for the update on honeymoo. I had noticed her on the antenatal threads but didn't want to sound like a crazy stalker as I clearly have no need to be looking at them yet!

Aries I love how your advice turned into an in-laws rant. Mine start drinking around 3pm evey single day. They never have more than 2 or 3 drinks at a time though. MIL reckons her doctor told her she shouldn't give up alcohol completely as now her liver is used to that level or drinking the shock of no alcohol would damage it

Bellaby I've managed to cut down on drinking at social things by putting my glass down every time I talk to someone so it takes me ages to finish one drink - no-one seems to have noticed yet. If they do comment I'm armed with the reducing alcohol for New Year/lent excuse. Or if you drink spirits and mixers it would be hard for people to tell if have a soft drink every other drink

evilgiraffe I have always had doubts about my MIL's sanity! Putting sanitary stuff in your bag is a sure way to keep AF away. This month she arrived for me on the day I went to work with a different handbag and no Tampax in it!!

The underwear incident is just an example of my MIL having no shame. I wa brought up to think that info like when and where you have had sex is a private matter. In fact I'm worried about telling my mum when I get a BFP as then she'll know I've done it

MIL loves to tell us about her sex life! She is quite happy to tell everyone when her and FIL have DTD during Sunday lunch I nearly fell off my chair the first time she made that sort of announcement, everyone else just kept on tucking into their roast and thought nothing of it

Can someone give me a virtual slap and shake and tell me not to be so ridiculous please. Today I've had some bizarre spinny head thing going on as I stand up and feel distinctly nauseous. The freesias five feet away are almost overpowering me and every time I wee it smells so, well, urine-y! AF's not even due til next Thurs. God, I SWORE I wouldn't do this! (Boobs are all normal mind and normally they'd start to ache a bit by now.) Right that's it, I'm going to bed. Stupid woman.

OP posts:
Pidgin · 26/02/2010 07:51

Ladies: I need your help.

So, 11 DPO today. Woke up early debating with myself whether to test - gave in and tested - got a line.

Or, to be precise, got three very faint lines in the 'pregnant' window. I tried to upload a picture of it so I could get your advice on it, but my camera is too rubbish for it to show clearly enough.

Basically, when I checked after three minutes, there was a dark pink clear line in the control bit. In the other bit, there are three faint lines - this middle one is maybe slightly stronger than the others. They are faint but clearly visible. It's a First Response test.

I know one faint line is a positive, but three?? Help me out, I'm going crazy trying to decide if I should get excited or not!!

bunnygirl80 · 26/02/2010 08:08

pidgin maybe 3 lines means it's triplets!!!

Seriously though, it sounds like a defective test. You should probably test again to get aproper result. Report the dodgy test to the manufacturer though - they might send you some free ones.

Hopefully your new test will be a BFP

OP posts:
Ariesgirl · 26/02/2010 08:32

Blimey. As Bunny said maybe it's triplets . Was it a cheapie?

Pidgin · 26/02/2010 08:36

bunny that's what DH said! (or rather he looked a bit green and said "so is it twins?"!)

OK so I did a Superdrug home brand and there is the tiniest faintest line you can imagine. Could be an evap line I guess. It is really barely visible to the naked eye. I took the test apart to look at it more closely. I may actually have gone mad.

No more tests in house. May have to go and buy more tests. What is the best brand? I will spend any money for some certainty!

Pidgin · 26/02/2010 08:37

No aries it was first response, one of the pricey ones! And now - although obviously it's way beyond the 10 min limit - the middle line is definitely stronger than the other two. If this is a faulty test I will enjoy phoning First Response and being really horrible to someone.

Ariesgirl · 26/02/2010 08:40

Do it. Take out your frustration on a minimum wage work experience kid. It'll be good for them in the long run.

Pidgin · 26/02/2010 08:43

That's right! Who cares if they are a hard-working person just trying to get by who bears no responsibility at all for the fault?! Someone is going to have to absorb my nervous energy and DH has gone to work.

Hermya321 · 26/02/2010 08:52

Pidgin I did my first test around the same time as you and got the faintest of faint lines. I even had to show it to DH to see if he could see the line as well. I did a Clearblue digital with FMU the next morning which proved positive.

But I would take it out on that person, it's character building!

Kaloki · 26/02/2010 10:50

Ooh pidgin that sounds promising!!

Aries That does sound promising

Thankyou for all the messages ladies, still no AF here, so fingers are firmly crossed (and toes, and eyes..)

Ariesgirl · 26/02/2010 11:11

But what about the boobs? The boobs dammit? They're still fried egg size and not sore!

Do you HAVE to have agonising boobs with blue veins (sounds like cheese) and dark whatsits (always thought mine were kind of inferior tbh )

Only thing for it is to wait - sigh.

Pidgin · 26/02/2010 11:17

don't worry about the boobs! not everyone gets the boobs! all the other symptoms sound very promising as kaloki says...

Bellaby · 26/02/2010 12:58

but I thought bigger boobs was the point of this whole TTC thing

thanks for the advice bunny and Aries. Luckily drinks were cancelled. And don't even get me started on the subject of In-Laws!

Almost the weekend - roll on 5pm

Kaloki · 26/02/2010 13:17

Talking about in laws, my (future) MIL is here, and has come laden down with all kinds of useless crap helpful items which she thinks we might need in our new home. Eg. a whistle?!

Bellaby · 26/02/2010 13:26

kaloki - something every good wife should have. It's so the husband can sit in front of the tv and summon the wife from wherever she might be in the house whenever he needs something
