Hi everyone! And again, sorry to those I'm missing out!

Kaloki - so when do you plan to test?

Zippys - good to hear from you. Sorry things are still busy... Hope they get better soon. And sorry you're still sick... I've had about a month of it now and I just don't know how you're managing to cope! [hug]

Felicity - sorry to hear you're putting off TTC. Must be very frustrating. I was in a similar position in Decemeber, because of a promotion at work. It's not easy trying to be sensible, is it? x

Mumnerves - glad to hear you had a lovely holiday. Unsure about the OPKs but someone more knowledgable will probably be along soon!

Chalky - I know! Lol! But that "impending bundle of joy" has just had me in hospital again for the past two nights!

Glad to hear you're having that meeting with your manager. Hopefully you'll manage to get some issues resolved. x

Sevans - it's REALLY good to hear from you and great to hear that you're finally back to normal. Thanks for your congratulations - it can't be easy on you, us all going on like we do all the time. I was actually thinking of you yesterday. There was a woman in hospital with me, and she had six miscarriages, followed by two ectopic pregnancies. She was told she'd never get pregnant again and was put on pills to kick start the change of life. Then she discovered she was pregnant! She had just had a gorgeous baby boy. So that just goes to show, doesn't it? There's always hope.

Yorkshire - good luck tomorrow. Will be thinking of you. x

Kaloki · 22/02/2010 17:04

I'm trying to resist testing tomorrow, I'd rather my period was actually late. Ideally, if I can resist, I'll test next Wednesday because then it'll be later than it has ever been.

calligraphy I remember having a full on panic attack when a condom split once, seems extremely silly now!

Hermya321 · 22/02/2010 17:26

Kaloki I'm literally hanging onto my seat by the edge of my bottom which isn't exactly huge. I'll be sending out good luck vibes to you and keeping an eye on the thread.

Sevens I'm glad you're feeling back to yourself, it's nice to see you around.

Ariesgirl · 22/02/2010 19:51

Am feeling very glum today. Suddenly feeling like I'd make a hopeless parent and asking myself what do I think I'm doing? Plus Sister was on the phone last night telling me all about morning sickness, backache BLAH BLAH BLAH. Every time I speak to Mother it's all about Sister's pregnancy. She even brought up yesterday how Sister's best friend has got mastitis! Acted all offended when I exclaimed "What on earth makes you think I would possibly want to know that?!" Last time I casually brought up me having children (whilst cuddling Cousin's baby) she said "Don't be silly, how could you two cope with a baby?" (we run our own business and are flat out at certain times of year). I want to bleat plaintively to them "But I'm nearly 35, I'm nearly 35...tick tock, tick tock..." She struggled with being a mum to small children herself and sometimes I think I'm just too much like her.

sorry for confusing you all! I'm on cycle four of not using contraception, but cycle one of consciously trying.

Kaloki · 22/02/2010 20:51

What calligraphy says. I've been told the same thing Aries, that we wont be able to cope. (I've also been told that we are assuming it'll be easy - because they've been inside my head?!)

Bellaby · 22/02/2010 21:03

Ariesgirl - sorry to hear you've been feeling down. I think you will be a wonderful mother - anyone who plans a family and is using MN in preparation is certainly going about it in the right way! Of course running a business with a baby will be tough but I'm sure you will manage - it's amazing what people can achieve when they put their minds to it.

Big Hug to you - we're all right with you every step of the way xxx

Ariesgirl · 22/02/2010 21:18

Thanks girls. Am currently on 2 week wait and very guiltily sipping a glass of red. Haven't had any for 8 days though so can't hurt. Can it? And I figure there are thousands of people who have their own businesses and have babies. Can always put it in a drawer or something.

Pidgin · 23/02/2010 07:37

Ariesgirl all sorts of people can be parents, I'm sure you'll be great at it. I sometimes get home at the end of the day and think, 'How will I ever cope when I have to breastfeed/ entertain a child/ deal with a tantrum at this time of day rather than get into my pyjamas and drink wine in front of the telly?' But I'm sure I'll have enough energy to cope when the time comes - just like you'll manage juggling the business and the baby. And mums can be very insensitive sometimes! Anyway sorry to hear you've been feeling low.

Yorks hope all goes well today.

Well I think I've started my usual spotting - 8DPO so that's slightly better than recent months but still annoying. In the past 6 months I haven't managed to get to 9DPO without spotting - do you think I should go to the docs about this? Don't want to be a panicky 'worried well' and all that, but I'm worried it's interfering with TTC.

maamalady · 23/02/2010 07:56

You might as well go as not, Pidgin - worrying is not going to make TTC easier, and if there is an issue then best not to ignore it. They can only tell you you're fine and to go home!

No news here either, I am starting to get twitchy as day 28 is Friday, so AF due on Saturday in theory. It's a bit close now!

FelicityFlick · 23/02/2010 10:37

Just a quicky from me to send a big hug your way Aries and echo what the others have said. Especially what bellaby said about planning and preparing for it using mumsnet- perfect preparation! and yes, you're right, you can always put the baby in a drawer or something {grin} He, he, that made me laugh! Lastly, a glass of wine won't hurt at all on the 2ww- you sounded like you really deserved it so don't worry about that.

pidgin I think you should go just to put your mind at rest. Have you tried taking any of the herbal supplements to lengthen your luteal phase?

Kaloki- hope you've remained strong and not tested. Hang in there until next wednesday if you can.xx

Hi to everyone else- hope you're having a good day

Kaloki · 23/02/2010 11:30

pidgin Go to the doctors, if only to put your mind at rest!

felicity I just about managed not to test this morning. Think I may have to ask DP to hide the test from me!

seablue · 23/02/2010 14:10

Keep strong kaloki!

pidgin - as you know, I get the same spotting as you, around DPO 7/8.

I'd definitely advise getting a blood test for your progesterone levels, as if they're low it's easy to correct and then bob's your uncle...

Every doctor I have talked to says that spotting is not a problem, but I can't say I believe them - I feel it's definitely connected to my unbabied state. But for some reason they're really not interested. So perhaps they're right - perhaps the amount you are losing when you spot is so small that it's not going to stop anything implanting that wants to... I wish I trusted Them more! When I've been for my fun fun fun HSG Xray I will report back in case they've found what's causing it...

Speaking of which yorkshire - really hope GP is useful (having the right results would be a start ). Am crossing my fingers that there is some very obvious and easily rectifiable reason...

ariesgirl - I completely second everyone's comments. I'm sure your mum went well but it's not as if you're going into this with your eyes closed. The very fact you and your husband are managing to run a business together shows that you are organised and have a strong relationship - you can do it!

wow fudgecat - congratulations!

and commiserations to felicity, but it will give you time to get your cycle totally sorted.

go chalky on the work stress front. Am trying to do that both with work and TTC stress - I realised I had been letting them feed each other. ie - I'd look at work and think "if only i could get pregnant, then none of this would matter", which is totally barmy and the shortest way to make myself a crazier baby lady!

Have a good Tuesday everyone!

Kaloki- you joke but last month when I had no AF and no BFP I became a little obsessed with POAS and I did actually make dh hide two tests from me in order to make me wait a week. Top tip... he hid them in his sports bag in the cupboard under the stairs if you need some clues

WhiteRoses · 23/02/2010 15:47

Hi everyone,

Just checking in... Kaloki - you're still being boring sensible and not testing?! Pfft!

No news from Yorkshire yet either?

Kaloki · 23/02/2010 16:08

I just want to cling to the idea of being pg for a bit longer.

yorkshire Hope the gp visit went well?

pixiestix · 23/02/2010 16:17

[waves to all]

Hello! Just popping in to pressurize Kaloki into testing check up on Kaloki . Hope to see you over on the graduates thread!

WhiteRoses · 23/02/2010 16:24

Aww, Kaloki - now I feel guilty! But see, I was always good at fooling myself either way... A BFP = cause for celebration. A BFN = irrelevant - no AF was the important thing to hold onto - tests can always be wrong! So either way, I remained in denial for as long as possible!

Kaloki · 23/02/2010 16:56

Don't feel guilty, I've just got my hopes up a bit too much!

Ariesgirl · 23/02/2010 17:36

Well I simply must be up the duff as I feel very sick. On the other hand I have just eaten an entire pizza. I knew this healthy eating kick would backfire on me and I'd end up having a pig out. No I'm afraid I'll just have to wait until next thursday. good luck, Kaloki.

Hermya321 · 23/02/2010 18:35

Kaloki Stilll......hanging.......on.......for.......dear.........life.........bum........slipping..........

Aries Oh don't, I've just eaten an entire dominos pizza to myself. It was lovely!!

fudgecat · 23/02/2010 20:14

Evening all hope you are all keeping well

aries did you ever watch the brittas empire? The receptionist kept her baby in the drawer

evil i have my fingers crossed for you

kaloki im on the edge of my seat........

i am 5 weeks today and its starting to sink in a bit now i think

chalky3 · 23/02/2010 21:03

Whiteroses, hope everything is ok with you having to go into hospital again.

Ariesgirl, I echo everyone elses's comments. I'm sure you'll be great as a mum, you're certainly doing plenty of research! Lol at 'put it in a drawer'! Oh and kids love pizza too!

Pidgin you should go to the docs if only to put your mind at rest, one less thing to worry about. Hopefully the spotting will stop for nine months soon!

I'm hiding the tests from you Kaloki! Felicityflick, love that you hunted out the tests when dh hid them!

seablue, I know exactly what you mean about the work verses TTC stress! I think 'if only I could escape from work for a bit, everything would be ok!' Now I'm starting to think 'if only I was less stressed about work, we would manage to make a baby'. No harm in testing that theory I guess. Maybe being stupid but whats an HSG Xray?

Kaloki · 23/02/2010 21:22

fudgecat I want to watch the Brittas Empire again now!

Haha, thankyou chalky
