Yay Fudge!!! Congratulations! I KNEW you were next! So impressed with you for holding off on the testing though - that's some willpower! So how are you feeling? Do you believe it's real yet?!

Kurly - I take it you've tested?

Yorkshire - just wanted to wish you luck for Tuesday, if I'm not on again till then. (Bad morning sickness, seeing midwife this afternoon, and looking like I may need to be taken in again.)

Anyone heard from Zippys? Hope all's well with her.

And what about Sevans? Seems like forever since she last posted. I think of her often. Really hope she's doing okay.

Ariesgirl · 20/02/2010 14:10

Thanks Pidgin for your reassuring and wise words! Good luck Calligraphy with getting started. I'm now playing the waiting game for a fornight or so before fully expecting to start over!

FelicityFlick · 20/02/2010 15:31

Hi Lovelies,

Just a quicky as am just back from my hols and am off top bed as am blooming knackered from all the traveling but will not moan as am SO grateful to have had a holiday!

Just thought I would pop in and see what I have missed and am so thrilled to see your news fudgecat!! Big congratulations!

Hermya have been stalking on the graduates thread and pleased that all is going well for you. You must be so excited to have told some people too- I bet it makes it seem even more real!

Welcome to all of the newcomers too. This is such a lovely thread and I lurked for so long before plucking up the courage to join and now I'm so pleased I did!

So a short update from me, this will please you Kurly... AF came whilst I was on holiday (Sods law eh?! I knew she would show then, I had even packed tampons and everything!) I was really pleased (well a BFP would have been better but you know what I mean!) because I had had ovulation signs about 12 days before AF came so I think my body is starting to crank back into action after stopping the pill in Dec. So, I am on CD6 now and have started temping so we'll see how I get on...

Will be back tomorrow for a proper catch up- It's good to be back

xxx

chancewouldbeafinething · 20/02/2010 17:01

Yeeeaaay fudgecat!!!!! see you on the grads thread

belaby you should try preseed (i think thats how you spell it) It worked for us can get it off amazon.

kaloki do you feel like you have a hangover? that was my first sign.

yorkshire good luck with the GP this week, hopefully they managed to get them all right this time

kurly fingers crossed for lucky CD49, hope AF arrives soon

Sorry I missed some of you...my baby brain just cant remember everything i want to reply!

You will all be happy to know that not all of us on the grads thread have MS (touch wood), I am not feeling great but so far have not actually thrown up yet.
Good news is that I had my early scan on Friday, and the bean is in the right place and i saw the heart beat

Good luck to anyone thinking of testing...hopefully all that VD Bding worked xxxx

Bellaby · 20/02/2010 17:24

chance - thanks for that. Yes that was the one I was racking my brain to remember. Good to hear you've not yet suffered the dreaded MS - lucky you! Very exciting about the scan too.

Welcome back FelicityFlick - where did you go? Glad to hear that your body has responded to coming off the pill. Gives me some hope

I'm off to wedding reception shortly where I shall most probably be very naughty and ignore all the rules about drinking

Have a lovely evening xxx

Hermya321 · 20/02/2010 18:38

Felicity Oooooo a stalker!! Should I watch out for the binoculars? It is nice and does feel a lot more real. I had a real life conversation with a fellow preggers person today, which was really nice. I hope you had a nice holiday and that it was relaxing for you.

Calligraphy Welcome on board, this is a lucky thread!!!

fudgecat · 20/02/2010 20:30

Evening all

kurly i took your advice and got a CB digital at the supermarket this afternoon ? ?pregnant 2-3 weeks?

Welcome to calligraphy82 this is a great thread ? i know what you mean about parental lectures ? i was given the impression that even looking at a boy would be enough!

It still doesn?t feel real yet... and im still having AF like cramps but from what i have read this is normal.

I may have graduated but i?ll still be about keeping a close eye on all of you

Kaloki · 21/02/2010 00:34

Chance that is exactly how I feel! I turned down a KFC today I was feeling that rough , however you'll be pleased to know that the move when went and I managed not to puke on the removal men!

Also, another interesting development, my DP has sensory defensive disorder, which makes him overly sensitive to things like smells. So normally he's more aware of bad smells, except now I am. Very odd, and very annoying. I cant sleep but cant make myself a hot chocolate as just the thought of the smell makes me feel ill.

We have no internet here, so I'm on my phone. So I may not be around much, but I'll pop in when I can.

zippys · 21/02/2010 13:59

Hi everyone,

Sorry I have been pretty quiet but had so much going on. Have still been reading the thread and wanted to let you I am still about

First congrats to Fudge

I havent got time to catch up with everyone but hello to anyone new.

Still feeling sick so seeing various consultants until we find an answer, I was starting to get really depressed by it all, but trying to stay positive.

No real TTC news from me, just in BD stage but TTC not at front of mind right now.

Hopefully I will be back to normal postings again soon once my head is more positive

Good luck to anyone testing soon.

I hope these are right as DH keeps distracting me and I think I've made a couple of mistakes so sorry if you are one of the ones I've made a muddle on!

ooooo Kaloki... when are you going to test? I know you've probably said earlier but I think I have missed it whilst I was catching up with all the pages I missed whilst I was on holiday.

Bellaby I went to Koh Samui in Thailand for my holiday and it was gorgeous. Lovely weather and great food- yum! Hope you had a great time at the wedding reception. I love a good wedding!

He he Hermya, yep watch out for those binoculars... I would need a bloody long lense to stalk you from HK! How are you feeling today? and fudgecat how are you?!!

I have a bit of news for you all. One of my friends has asked me to be a bridesmaid for her next February in New Zealand. Obviously , I am thrilled BUT... it means that TTC plans have had to be reshuffled in order that I will be able to fly to New Zealand. DH and I had a good chat whilst we were on holiday and have decided that we are going to put ttc on hold until July. My friend knows that we are wanting to have a baby soon and has already said that she doesn't mind a pregnant bridesmaid so that shouldn't be a problem.

The other option was to try extra hard this month and next and hopefully have a baby by February but the advantage of waiting is that we can take out some medical insurance which will cover maternity costs here in HK. The insurance that my school provides does not cover maternity costs and all of the private policies I could take out require you to wait 10 months or a year before you can make a claim. The cost of a birth and all of the doctors fee throughout pregnancy etc were looking to be about 9,000 pounds! (sorry don't have a pound sign on my silly comp!) So insurance will make a big difference even if it doesn't cover it all.

So, I'm a bit sad that I have to take a break from ttc until July (although I know it is more practical and much more sensible in terms of money) Can I still stay here please??? My tasks until I can begin trying again are to sort out this medical insurance asap and regulate my cycles which I have begun in earnest this month with Agnus Castus and temping.

Anyone have anything exciting coming up this week? Back to school for me. kurly your a teacher too aren't you? Any other first time frolickers teachers too?

So over and out from a bit of a sad Flick today

xxxxx

FelicityFlick · 21/02/2010 14:14

Sorry zippys- we crossed posts. Good to hear from you and really hope you'll be on the mend soon. My best friend had been struggling for 6 months with nausea and similar symptoms to you and has just been diagnosed with a stomach infection after having numerous tests. She has taken a course of antibiotics and now is right as rain. Let's hope that whatever is wrong with you is something that can be fixed just as easily. It is really great that you are seeing consultants and that they're taking it seriously and wanting to get to the bottom of all of this. Fingers crossed for you love xxx

Ariesgirl · 21/02/2010 14:31

I used to be a teacher! Primary. I don't see why you shouldn't stay on here Felicity Flick. Passes the time, don't it?

Ariesgirl · 21/02/2010 14:31

Hi all I'm back from hols!

Welcome to any new comers and sorry to those of you with AF over the last 2 weeks.

Zippys sorry to hear about your family news but pleased to hear the MRI turned up ok!

Hermya, congrats with the driving!

Bunny hope you'll still pop in, we'd miss you if you didn't!

Sparkly if you're reading this thread, so sorry to hear about your MC Can't imagine how you must be feeling

Hermya, fudgecat congrats on the BFP!!

felicityflick well I'll be keeping fingers crossed that you get a BFP this month so you can go to NZ for your friend's wedding!

We had a fantastic holiday, gone from hot 30+ degrees to below zero, snow and freezing!! We had a lovely time bd-ing without pressure and it was so nice not to feel we had to do it! I did take OPKs with me (c'mon you didn't expect me to go from totally obsessed to zero! )
The thing is I got 3 days worth of positive OPKs. I read somewhere that if the first LH surge doesn't release an egg or the egg is not healthy the body will try to release another??! the last one was on thurs which is only 8 days before af is due, so am a bit confused and not hopeful

chancewouldbeafinething · 21/02/2010 16:18

kaloki increased sense of smell....sickness... are you thinking of testing? (said in a very small voice) CD26 is early but it might not be too early. Have a and think about it.

mumsnerves good to hear you had a great holiday, shame about the freezing cold return to RL. Fingers crossed the BDing worked. If it did would you do a victoria beckham and name the LO after the place they were conceived?

felicity sometimes being practical is a total downer isnt it? no harm practising though. And you know July will come around really fast, by then you will be an expert on your cycle it will take no time

chancewouldbeafinething · 21/02/2010 16:19

zippys good to hear from you, fingers still crossed that you feeling better soon xx [sending lots of good vibes]

Hermya321 · 21/02/2010 17:37

Felicity Sorry that you're putting TTC on hold at the moment, but you can still hang around here. On another note, I should have known it was you hanging around in those bushes.

chalky3 · 22/02/2010 11:05

Congratlatons fudgecat, great news!

Welcome calligraphy. I think we all thought that it would happen straight away. Years of preventing it and panicking if you missed a pill only to find out that it's not as easy as that!

Thankyou for all your congratulations about DH's new job!

pidgin, funny you should say that, chalky the dog was my inspiration! I have a little dog who looks very like him, I couldn't use his name though, it was taken (hope no one I know is reading this, might have just given myself away!) I agree, the 2ww is the worst bit!

Lol at your dentist Hermya, it's nice though!

whiteroses, parasite, what a thing to call your impending bundle of joy!

Hope you had a good time in Portugal Bellaby kurlyvoice, I know the feeling, no AF and no BFP, it's torture. Hang in there and try not to worry, I'm sure your body is working fine, it's just a bit confused after stopping the pill.

Glad you had a nice holiday FelicityFlick. I can't believe how much it would cost you to give birth without medical insurance! I know it will be hard for you to take a break from TTC but it would take away the pressure of spending all that money just when you might need it to spend on a new baby. Glad your friend is fine with a potentially pregnant bridesmaid. I never understand why people think they can decide that on behalf of their friends, even given the cost of some dresses. Stay here with us, you'll keep involved without all the bad bits like the 2ww!

Zippys sorry you're still feeling rough, I hope the docs find out what's wrong soon.

mumsnerves, glad you had a nice holiday, let's hope taking the pressures of day to day life away has done the trick!

We have started our 'warm ups' for next weeks SWI, practice makes perfect, so they say!
I've decided to take control of some of the work stress I've been experiencing. There are some things that I can't do anything about but there are some things I can. I'm going to have a chat with my manager tomorrow about shedding some of the extra work I've been doing. Bit nervous about it but I know I'm within my rights, I just don't want to put the strain on to someone else.

Hi Girls,

Thanks so much for all of your words of support here. This is the best place to vent isn't it? I'm so glad you've all said I can stay and you're right chalky, I'll be here to egg you all on during the 2ww!! He he Talking of which... kaloki, where are you?!!! Good luck with the meeting with your manager chalky Let us all know how you get on. What do you do for work by the way? Today I spent time researching insurance policies and have found a good one that will cover all costs of the birth up to 13,000 pounds so am feeling a bit happier and trying to tell myself that waiting 5 months is not long in teh grand scheme of things but you know what it's like when you're a crazy baby lady !!!

I hope things will move quickly come July chance! I certainly hope that I am all regulated by then! How are you feeling at the min? I have been 'browsing' over on the graduates thread with my binoculars hermya and trying to keep up with all you frolickers over there. It's so nice that you still pop back and visit us all here

Calligraphy I don't think that coming back to England is an option as maternity leave is really rubbish over here and you only get 15 weeks. I have researched how late you can fly and all being well you can fly until 32/33 weeks so most of my maternity leave would be used up before the baby was born... Sometimes I wonder why I choose to move half way around the world! Anyway, enough about me... How was your first day back at work today with all the pregnant people?! and all other teachers...how were your first days back? I heard it's a bit snowy and rainy again in the UK today. Boo!

Were you back at work again today too after your holidays mumnerves ?

Anyone got anything exciting coming up this week? I haven't so I hope to live vicariously through all of you this week

Good luck to all SWI!!!

sevans · 22/02/2010 15:24

Hi whiteroses!!! I lurk from time to time but feel I don't have much to contribute since I am not TTC. Everything with me is fine. I think I am all back to normal . Now we are just waiting to TTC again. I don't anticipate trying again until the summer. I'm sorry to hear that you are having bad morning sickness. I really hope that ends soon! When are you due? I am very happy for you and all of the others who got their BFPs! And of course I wish the best of luck to everyone TTC. Lots of babydust!!!
