Congratulations chance - good to see you've worked hard to get Yorkshire's bumper February off to a flying start! And you're further proof for my cycle 1,3,7 theory

Getting a BFP so early must mean you're producing tons of hcg - maybe there's more than one bean in there.....

Hermya Maybe your friend left her pregancare lying around as she secretly wanted you to know they were TTC! I always go around and hide all my baby making related stuff whenever we have visitors!

Lol at "wish me luck, I'm going in".....for some reason I have a mental picture of you donning scuba gear while shouting this! I don't know why it makes me think of scuba gear - I think I have finally lost what little sanity I had

evilgiraffe TEST TEST TEST (but of course only if you want to!) My first post-pill AF only lasted 2 days but then went on to become a further 10 days of spotting so I could just be your body settling back down. Still reckon you should test though!

Sorry about AF mumnerves - maybe some relaxed holiday bd will be the answer.

We had some new neighbours move in around 2 weeks ago. They seem nice enough but all the guy does all day is sit in their garden smoking pot! It's really annoying as the smell keeps coming into our house and making it stink. Not sure whether I should say anything to him or not....think probably not for the time being. We can't figure out how he affords to live in that house though, as the rent here is really expensive and he doesn't seem to have a job. DH reckons I should spy observe the house to see if he's selling rather than just smoking drugs - I think if he is I'd rather not know!

Morning all!

Yorkshire Ambush successful.

Bunny I know, I do the same. I don't know how she missed that one. It was rather obvious where it was placed. Thanks for updating the list .

Mumsnerves I know, I think she actually wanted to share her excitment but maybe bottled out at the last minute. Thank you for your commiserations about Mr Nice voice, I am quite sad that he's gone. It won't be the same without him there. Oh well.

Felicity Thank you

zippys · 02/02/2010 08:34

Morning,

I have just types the longest thread ever and then crashed and lost it, so it will just have to be a quick one, sorry

Congratulations Chance although you may have to change your name nopw

Just wanted to say thanks everyone for all your support, it means a lot to me . Its weird normally this time of the month every symptom could be a pregnancy symptom whereas now I keep thinking everything is related to this instead!!

Not that it is top of my mind right now (but would still have been the best news ever!) but I think AF will show up today (TMI) as had a tiny bit of brown blood when I wiped last night.

p.s evilegiraffe - any news? Can I add to the TEST TEST TEST as the last person I shouted that to had a BFP

lucielooo · 02/02/2010 10:17

Chance Congratulations Fingers crossed first of many this month!

My fertile time will also be around Valentines day and can't think of a better way to spend it! Conceiving a Valentines baby would be fab. I could then do that annoying parent thing of winking and saying how they know exactly when you were conceived.. (My Dad had his leg in plaster apparently.)

Thanks for that.

chalky3 · 02/02/2010 13:31

Congratulations chance, a BFP is a BFP, don't tell yourself otherwise!

Congratulations too Hermya on the positive OPK, that explains the sicky feeling and the cramp! Have fun TTC!

FelicityFlick, it may take a while for your periods to settle down post pill, I've been off it for six months and only my most recent one arrived when expected, I'm hoping it will do the same this month or not arrive at all! It's frustrating but hopefully you'll get a BFP then you won't have to worry anymore!

Sorry to hear about your hospital stay whiteroses, hope you're on the mend now. You must have been so worried for the baby.

seablue sorry to hear the spotting has returned. Try not to compare yourself to your friends, we are all different and it will happen for you too.

Sorry AF got you mumsnerves.

We've no plans for Valentines day, we don't normally celebrate it even though it is when we DH first asked me out on a date. It's so long ago now that it doesn't really count as an anniversary worth celebrating like it did when we were first together!
Bit of an icky question but does anyone know how long EWCM is supposed to last? I thought it was a couple of days but it seems to have laseted about five. I've started worrying that there's something wrong 'down there' but there's nothing else to suggest any problems.

chalky3 · 02/02/2010 13:38

evilgiraffe test test test, we you need to know what's is going on!!!

kkas · 02/02/2010 15:50

Chance congrats!!!! so happy for you

Zippys and whiteroses so sorry to hear about your scares the past few days. i am thinking of you and hoping you're feeling better soon.

Sorry I've no time to read all today's posts cos I'm in the car and get carsick reading from my phone (passenger not driving BTW!!)Just wanted to ask if I'm being too hopeful that sore breasts might be sign of ovulation. On CD 11 of cylce 1 and was expecting my body to take a while to recover from pill. Can this be a symptom of ov. I've no other symptoms. I used to get this ocassionally on pill so just don't know. OPK's are in post.

chancewouldbeafinething · 02/02/2010 17:32

Hi All we are still smiling quietly to ourselves as we know it's VERY early days and are not trying to get too ahead of ourselves but OMG!! Thank you all so much for the well wishes
I did get another test but wasnt able to use it this morning (had to get up and pee 3 times last night, so not able to test, I thought that only happened later on)

I think my due date would be either 16 or 18/10 depending on which web page you believe. So I guess we are going to have to fast forward the plans for moving back to Sydney now yipeee

I booked in to see the doctor next week, i am going to try and get an early scan, as I only have 1 tube and 1 ovary so I am really worried about an EP. I have really good health cover from work, but it is a little hard to organise without telling them what i want done. Will wait and see what the doc says.
whitroses I am so sorry to hear about your hospital stint, at least you got that scan though. See you on the graduates!
Hermya I hope the ambush was a success
aly323 well at least this goes to prove that the biking is not the root of all evil. Because even though i put a limit on, DH still did quite a few hours this month.
bunny LOL at the 2 beans, twins run in my family...i am hoping not! glad to help with your theory, hopefully you will also confirm that this month
kkas I hope you are not working to hard and have a chance to do some shopping in NYC I love that city.
chalky i know it is unlikely to be false positive, i think i might also just need to see it again to make sure its true!
zippys I thought that too, but what name to pick I will get back to you!
evilgiraffe did you decide to test? (sorry no pressure or anything)

Hope everyone is ok - good luck for some more BFP this week xx

WorrisomeHeart · 02/02/2010 18:48

chance fantastic news!!! So pleased for you and look forward to seeing you on the grads thread!!!

evilgiraffe any news???

Hope everyone else is ok!

maamalady · 02/02/2010 19:00

I have cracked! Did a test = BFN.

Not really surprised, I guess it means I've just had a one-day AF though! Weird! Still, I can now drink those fruity beers we got the other day...

chalky3 · 02/02/2010 19:27

Sorry about the BFN evilgiraffe. Were you on the pill for a while before TTC? Maybe that's why you had a really short AF. Hope you enjoy your beers!

Hermya321 · 02/02/2010 19:28

Evening all! I am so so tired. Good day today apart from crying in front of my tutor. I've been feeling a bit on the fragile side of things today, and I was finding some of the one to one stuff on the course a bit difficult. My tutor started correcting me and I guess I has just had enough and I started crying. How embarrassing!! I hate doing stuff like that. Thankfully I managed to pull it together and end the day on a good note. I guess I was just a bit overwhelmed. DH is having a few issues at work due to credit crunch type stuff. Plus my boobs were so so sore today. Everytime I folded my arms it was like being hit in the chest. Oww!! Plus my tummy has been a bit crampy, then I got a headache and then my mood went due south. So all in all the tears were a bit inevitable. Still feeling a sicky in the mornings as well, but then again what else is new.

Lucieloo I don't think I would ever tell my kids where they were concieved. I did ask my Mum once and she told me it was either on a ferry going to the Isle of Man or in the back of a Larder. Classy!

Chalky I had that as well earlier this month, although sometimes it can be leakage from the night before (sorry TMI).

Kkas NYC, I'm so jealous!!

Linzred Yeah sore breasts can be a sign of OV, I've got them in spades at the moment. This is my first month off of the pill.

Chance Yep a rip rouring one at that!

Evilgiraffe Sorry about your BFN, enjoy your beers though.

Right I'm gonna get cracking on my books.

mumnerves · 02/02/2010 19:50

Thank you everyone for your kind messages. I'm feeling a bit down as per usual when AF turns up, I think because I knew for sure this month when I ovulated and bd-ed around the time and still no BFP I feel like there's something wrong with us, I know it's silly as we've only been trying for 4 months, so going to down chocolate tonight to cheer myself up!

kkas Sorry AF got you too, but have a lovely time in NYC, isn't it just typical to get AF when you're just going on holiday??!

bunny my neighbour smokes pot too, it's SO annoying that we can't leave our kitchen window open in the summer, but otherwise they are great neighbours so don't really want to complain...BUT it is annoying and stinks!!!

evilgiraffe we need would love to know if you've tested yet?

mumnerves · 02/02/2010 19:56

Ooops! For some reason the last 5-6 posts were missing when I posted, sorry evilgiraffe on your BFN Hope you enjoy your beers, I love fruity beers too!

Hermya Sorry you broke down in front of your tutor, how embarrassing! Hope you feel better soon

WhiteRoses · 02/02/2010 20:17

Hi all,

Sorry to hear about AF, Kkas and Mumnerves. And sorry to hear about the BFN, Giraffe - hope you enjoy the beers.

Bunny - at your new neighbours! How mad!

Sorry to everyone I've missed out. Again, I'm struggling to keep up! x

YorkshireTeaDrinker · 02/02/2010 21:18

Sorry about the BFN Giraffe. And sorry for adding to the testing hysteria.

But we've been one such a BFP roll recently, I couldn't help but get over excited.

Hermya glad to hear the ambush succeeded! from the sounds of all your symptoms I think you can be pretty sure you're ovulating, so hopefully you've hit the target this month.

Capricorn, sorry to hear AF got you. Hopefully the combination of it being lucky February and it being your last cycle before assistance (often a trigger for conception) will work for you.

Enjoy NYC kkas Lucieloo fingers crossed you get a valentine's baby. I am also be expecting to be heading towards peak fertility then - hopefully it will help stoke our enthusiasm for BDing.

zippys hopefully AF will stay away and give you lots more symptoms to spot.

Chalky I don't think there is a set time limit on EWCM, five days doesn't sound excessive. maybe you are just extra fruitful this month?

Quick update from me. I had my repeat blood test today. The nurse was very nice and checked before she took the blood what she would be testing for. I think there must have been a note on my record in VERY LARGE LETTERS! . Results should be back in about a week. However, I am still waiting for DH to make his appointment at the urology dept to re-submit his sample, so it looks like it will be another couple of weeks before we get all our test results back and can get our referral. But with any luck we won't need it.

Congrats Chance!!!

This is obviously really really sad of me, but I've been playing Sims 3, and my sims keep having babies. Broody now!
