Actually now I feel guilty using up the last post of the thread - hope this will do as a continuation

OP posts:
rowingboat · 15/10/2009 16:36

Yay GPS! Thank you for the new thread.
I considered starting one, but couldn't think of any witty new titles. I think you have gone for the best option and just started another one, or we would be here all day - hurry up Rowing!!

hippychick66 · 15/10/2009 16:41

Hello ladies - nice new place we've got here!!!

I just added this to my other thread about my flippin' LPD (do you ladies have any ideas?):-

Just googled LPD and MC's. There seems to be some people who think that it's linked and others who agree that the problem is with actually achieving a BFP not with MC. I found this statistic - About 3 percent to 4 percent of women with LPD are infertile and up to 5 percent have a history of repeated miscarriages.

Those numbers sound nice and low so i'll go with those!

I am confused though. I'm meant to add the prog gel from day 18 - 21 and then stop and wait for either pregnancy or AF. but the leaflet says the gel can also be used up until wk 12 of a pregnancy. Are you meant to start using it again if you get a BFP??? Think I'll check with GP.

hippychick66 · 15/10/2009 16:42

GPS your schedule sounds exhausting. Here is a medal for your dedication!!!

gonepearshaped · 15/10/2009 16:56

Ahhh Bless you Rowing, there I was having a bit of a panic wondering if that worked or not and there you are, I can stop fretting now. Hmm, yes absolutely nil points for wit I'm afraid, but then I was worried no one would know it was the continuation and I'd be all on own in some draughty corner of MN cyberspace.

Have just worked out I'm on CD15 perhaps I'm taking the whole relaxed approach a tad too far? Am also very tempted by Tetley's PreSeed voucher code (another one going over to the slippy side) but then its a slightly scary prospect entrusting such things to Italian parcel post - I might just end up with a glooped up post box

OP posts:
thefatladyscreams · 15/10/2009 16:59

Thanks GPS. I managed to squeeze in a last post on the old thread at 1002. I thought they cut off at 1000?

hippy - sounds like a call to your GP. Hope it helps do the trick this month.

I've just ordered some preseed using tetley's coupon. Roll on next month - this one isn't even over but I've written it off already!

gonepearshaped · 15/10/2009 17:00

Oops just crossed posted with you there hippy thanks for the medal - makes it all worthwhile! Definitely talk to your GP about the prog gel, no idea if or why you'd carry on using it with a BFP.

I will add myself to the roll-call, but feel a bit funny as it is difficult to say I am ttc when still no post partum AF! However, despite having a few reservations, and a reluctant DH, I can't help think I'll just see what happens! We have had a dreamy week with ds (14 months). He has been super adorable, and is sleeping through (Hurray!).I think it is because he finally cut his first tooth. So how can I not consider a little sibling for him?

So , here's the roll call, and I 'll add Teltley to the graduates (hope you don't mind Tetley).

Great to see such a lovely big group of over 40's.
I used preseed when we conceived our ds, so will maybe use it again, if I ever ovulate again. I have nightmares that I'll go straight into menopause, but my doc reassures me that it is highly unlikely.Phew!

Gonepearshaped - do you live in Italy?Lucky you.My dad is Italian who is there at the moment.I would love to visit again.
Good luck everyone.

Woodelf · 16/10/2009 09:09

Just thought I'd add myself to the roll call. Awaiting AF as don't feel pg really but hoping of course. Holding off testing till sunday but that test is winking at me every time I go to the bathroom. Got a BFN last time I tested - I think I forgot a short AF somewhere last month...

Have updated myself on the list. Had written this cycle off and thought I wasn't ovulating but had a weird temp surge today - whatever that may mean?? Hadn't seen any action this week as felt ill and would usually have ovulated around day 12/13 - typical!

Evening all. Just marking my place. Hope to chat to you over the weekend, especially if any of you will be on the X Factor thread. I do so enjoy hating John & Edward all together - maybe we'll get lucky this weekend and they'll be voted out!

hippychick66 · 17/10/2009 11:48

Hi all, nothing to report from here - due to start doing it a lot any day now, then hoping for ovulation, followed by the progesterone gel.

Overheard this conversation:-

"I don't know why she's having another baby now."
"Yeah I know, I couldn't go back to the start again could you?"
"No way, my jobs just sorted, the kids are just old enough to not need so much help etc"
"Apparently she loves being pregnant - what's that all about???"

It made me smile cos I just thought, sod the job, who cares if a baby needs more help than your other kids. And YES I do know what it's like to love being pregnant!!

love the new faces

asteroids · 17/10/2009 12:11

Hi,
I'm 46 (just) and have been sort of TTC for the last 3 years with no success. My GP did the FSH and LH tests which showed that I am just getting old and past my prime. DH's tests were fine.
I have 2 kids from a previous relationship, now aged 24 and 22. Problem I have is that AF is so irregular that I don't know where I am anymore. Is anyone else having the same problem?

ILoveGregoryHouse · 17/10/2009 19:21

Evening ladies. We're going for #4 and am trying shettles method. Problem similar to asteroid, though, no idea what CD I am on as I have a bit of an ishoo working out CD1 - I have a few days - up to a week - of brown staining before a "proper" AF. So is CD1 the first day of staining or is it the full on AF day? Am doing the mucus obs but it's variable and, of course, it's difficult to know when CD11 is to stop BDing. I know when i ovulate but on ttc a girl, that's no use in retrospect (but I love wee boys anyway so no real matter!). Ah well, sorry for the ramble! Any advice very welcome.

thefatladyscreams · 17/10/2009 23:06

Welcome asteroids and ilovegregoryhouse (love the name by the way).

kiwi - sorry we're a bit of a Strictly household! DSS tries to make us watch X Factor without much success.

hippy that conversation makes me laugh. Why is it that people have such strong views? I can imagine DH's family (well half of it) being completely aghast at us trying to conceive "at our age".

Woodelf · 18/10/2009 10:44

Hi there. Asteroids & ILGHouse I kwym about irregular cycles - it causes me no end of confusion - havent had any analysis of FSH or LH done yet - am holding off a bit. Still awaiting AF - done the pg test and a BFN so puzzled and wanting my monthly gift so I can get going again!!!! . At 46 there is a bit of me thinking about what others think - then I go wtf as how much do I really care about their opinions - didn;t stop me having no 1 at 43 he he hee...

shakes halloween babydust sprinkles....

Hello everyone,
Nice new thread and I love the hats perhaps we should have a permenant one for AF

Haven't posted for a while was feeling low - was certain I was pg but all the tests said NO must have been residue of mc. So back on the treadmill but I totally understand Fifi and feeling like giving up. Saw a large family today and it occurred to me that if we had had all the children we'd concieved we would now have five! Crikey wouldn't that freak out our relatives they don't know about any of it.

Is everyone over their colds - we might have collected another one and just on the cuspe of BD week.

Thanks for the voucher code Tetley I ordered some but it arrived when I was out so I have to go to the sorting office before the strikes start. How's it going with the pg?

fifitot · 18/10/2009 19:10

Don't worry Summer - it comes in a plain brown wrapper!!!!

BTW - on Graduates.....Did Grownupbabes get a BFP? I must have missed that one!
