Come on in, ladies. I've had a widescreen telly installed and there's a big cupboard full of 80s teen movies if anyone's interested. New and more secure cages for our prey are being delivered soon. There's a big picture of a desert over the bar, a loudly ticking clock in the corner and bowls of raisins, currants and sultanas on every table; everything the discerning BESH could ask for...

camel I had flutters like I had when I was pg v briefly on mon/tues but no other symptoms whatsoever. I'm not woofling right now at all because I is barren and wankers get pregnant at the drop of a hate and I'm too old to get pregnant.

idealcamel · 08/10/2009 11:31

Poor ski. I hate that thought process, think we all go through it on a regular basis.

Although the miscarriage was awful , it does suggest that you are not barren. Glass half-full?

kimdeal · 08/10/2009 11:34

Yee-haw Ponifats!
Clink clink, hooves and cocktails.

kimdeal · 08/10/2009 11:40

PS ideal at risk of meshing up the beshing celebs: re. MC. I have started getting all sorts of prune juice vag juice - each time I wipe, as of last night. Not sure of your experience. I've got no 'pain', and doc told me brown blood is normal. But doc looked like that bloke out of Placebo. Pony/Gin did you get any of this? Anyway, I know I suppose I just have to sit it out and quit my whinging.

skihorse · 08/10/2009 11:59

Oh god Kim - might be worth phoning the doc. Prune juice is a symptom an ectopic pregnancy - what about a pain in your left shoulder? Apparently that's where ectopics hurt no matter which tube it might be in. I hope it's all nothing.

kimdeal · 08/10/2009 12:15

Ski have phoned Placebo who will call me back. Have googled ectopic p (naturally, being an old and feeble crone) and I don't seem to have the critical other symptoms assoc with it. But I am alert to it. It is a bit odd & not good, I agree. Did you get this sort of weak blood or was it much more clumpy? I suppose everyone's different, so these qus aren't really helpful...

idealcamel · 08/10/2009 12:16

kim I haven't managed to conceive yet, so no experience of this kind of thing. But you're not whingeing, it's worry. I think ski is right - phone docs or go and see them. It may be totally normal. Hope so, anyway.

skihorse · 08/10/2009 12:19

kim I got my "period spot" on my chin the day before and then it started (for me) just as a normal period but it was more crampy and clotty than normal.

If it is an ectopic it's probably too early to find out via a scan but I believe it can be done with blood tests - today and after the weekend. The trouble with ectopics is that it can be a bit "wait and see" and if you wait too long you can have serious complications - if you don't wait long enough they might (it has happened!) offer you a drug to terminate the pregnancy. Is there an Early Pregnancy Unit (EPU) you can phone? I think there's one at Guys but I'm not sure. They might have more info than Dr. Placebo.

ginhag · 08/10/2009 12:22

kimpuff gotta be quick as we're currently trashing a cafe.

Lots of people have varying amounts of bleeding and totally normal PGA,doesn't have to mean ectopic. Any bleeding in pg always worth reporting to foc,so good you called Monsieur placebo (brian?possibly)

if you are worried push for an early scan. How many weeks is ya? 5? You won't get heartbeat on scan til bout 7 so could still be bit scary and inconclusive til then.

Stay Calm. It's okay. Oh god I'm going to do more hugging-what the fuck are you lot doing to me????

ginhag · 08/10/2009 12:26

PGA = pg. Foc = doc

kimdeal · 08/10/2009 12:38

Yes - it's Brian Molko innit!
Anyway, he rang, and advised me to go to the Early Pg Unit at St Thom's - see, Ski you ought to retrain as an MD.
I'll go tomorrow, and will report back.
Snogs to ginwaltersoftie

Ponymum · 08/10/2009 12:47

kimdeal I don't know anything about prune juice or any bleeding but apparently it can be very normal. Hopefully it's nothing but you must talk to GP/other doc. (emotional pregnant woman with excuse to cry / hug whenever she wants)

ski 9DPO? Interesting...

skihorse · 08/10/2009 15:27

Kim I wanted to do medicine when I was younger - but instead of passing my A-levels, I got kicked out of home and my best mate inherited 36k, which in 1991 was a lot of money and so I became EXTREMELY good at pool and getting pissed - oh, and just before my A-levels, my boyfriend of 2 years shagged some slag who had the audacity to wear khaki and turquoise when I nipped out to buy a packet of fags.

kim Please let us know what the EPU say, hopefully it's bugger all and just a bit of implantation spotting and because you're such a hot thing it's juicy.

skihorse · 08/10/2009 15:28

n.b., she didn't dress like that ONLY when I was at the petrol station.

kimdeal · 08/10/2009 16:26

eeew: khaki and turquoise! I hate her already. Mind you, 36k in 1991 - bonus!

Yep, I'll go to the EPU, but have decided to just monitor it for a couple of days first. Part of me thinks there?s bugger all I can do if it?s a MC. And Dr Molko doesn?t think it?s an ec.p. based on my symptoms.

She clearly didn't dress at all when you were at the petrol station. Stupid old cow. Then again, she's probably got crabs now, and no friends. Ah, feel much better now.

Ponymum · 08/10/2009 16:27

ski What is your biggest complaint? The khaki and turquoise or the shagging? I guess I know the answer to that. Was it really khaki and turquoise at teh same time?

skihorse · 08/10/2009 17:00

I was actually REALLY offended by the colour combination - especially with her complexion. Back in those days I took my fashion & style rather seriously. It was a turquoise cable-knit round-necked jumper (in May) with what would've been fore-runners for khaki cargo pants. A million types of wrong.

I later discovered that her wardrobe was very limited and she didn't have many clothes - which I understand - but then why not buy basic colours which you can mix & match?

She was from the council estate so by now? She'll have about eight baybeeeees (assorted shades) and has loads of time and a loyalty card to iceland. I doubt her taste has improved. I mean she shagged him on the bathroom floor of a friend's all-male houseshare.

Never fear though - I shagged his best mate!

RunLyraRun · 08/10/2009 17:12

Skislag I'm sure your old best mate that you found on FB yesterday is very nice and all, but why the frig is she trying to befriend me?? Something about WIRS??

Eeek what will I say "got the wrong person" and she replies "how d'ya know Ski then?" Eeeek some excitement and intrigue in my day.

skihorse · 08/10/2009 17:22

Oh lyra It's because there was a girl we were in halls with there has the same first name as you. Although you're polar opposites looks wise - I shall point her in a different direction. Say that we met when we were learning how to do stunts for Goldeneye?

RunLyraRun · 08/10/2009 17:27

Hiiiiiyyyaaaaa Bifff Slam Thigh squeeze etc. That will put her off the scent nicely. Love being a Bond girl.

Although really Bond girls don't have adult acne Talking of which, I'm a bit obsessed with gazing at photos of Scorp's amazing skin on FB, trying to decide whether it is more luminous than it is translucent

ginhag · 08/10/2009 17:42

kimpuff just go tomorrow. Unless the juice has stopped of course. You're not being daft,it's what dr brian advised you to do...and it'll help you get your head straight.

I haven't had a 'normal' mc so my experience doesn't relate, but a little bit of plum juice sounds well within the realms of ordinary pg stuff...however no matter how cool you try n be you'll keep thinking about it. And they are very nice at epu generally (you will have to put up with the 'orrible updiffed barely-teenage couples tho)

besides,we'll all be worrying about you otherwise!

I have had an interesting afternoon. The Small One had the biggest tantrum ever, which was in parts funny, infuriating and distressing (at points it was all 3 at once). Then we had a run in with some dog shit (Bastardy non-cleaning up after their pets fucking cunts...) and then when I had managed to get my poor little boy into an almost shit-free state a load of shopping fell out of the bottom of the pushchair on a zebra crossing. And I couldn't even say 'FUUUUCK!!!' or it would have been today's new word.

ginhag · 08/10/2009 17:48

A plus side of being teetotal I guess Lyra? she is not ravaged by the booze...

ginhag · 08/10/2009 17:51

Or she's really good at Photoshop

only joking scorp...

By the way in answer to the 2WOOFL question earlier I am ...err... some dpo. Dunno how many. More than 2 and less than 100

RunLyraRun · 08/10/2009 17:53

For someone who is completely mad, and tells us she is chronically ill, she looks bloody good on it . Whereas I have the wrinkles of a 40yr old and the acne of a 15yr old. Wank. Must be more to it than booze?

skihorse · 08/10/2009 18:42

Shame you can't see the bulldog clips behind her ears innit!
