Becky congrats!

cindy how is it going?

C1NDY · 14/08/2009 11:37

Hi Iggy... I am doing fine. Been told by the midwife that I can't have an early scan as I have not had 3 MC - so am upset but am going to go privately after I talk to my doctor as he promised me one! Other than that just relaxing. I am in total disbelief that this is happening to me but will not be happy until i have delivered the bean. Have tried to stay away from posting as sometime I think it makes me more unrelaxed... ie. keep thinking about it all the time but I do love chatting to you all. I have my fingers and toes crossed for all of you.

Still no change from me. The surgery cocked up my appointment and somehow lost it; so I eventually had a phone consultation with the doc on Thurs last week.

He, unsurprisingly, wasn't much help. He just said that no period means a hormone imbalance of some sort and that he expected I'd have a period within a week. If I don't, I'm to go back for another blood test. The only positive is he didn't treat me like a neurotic fool, and seemed to be implying that as I have no menopausal symptoms it's more likely I am pg than not. It's getting hard to deal with at the moment.

I've had a few more days of spotting, but that dried up a couple of days ago and nothing since. There's no sign of AF as I know her, that's for sure.

How's everyone else doing?

yellowflowers · 17/08/2009 13:48

have just returned from holiday and checked in as despite determination to step back wanted to see how everyone is and omg cindy that is fab!!! Many congrats. And Becky too - I am so pleased for you.

yellowflowers · 17/08/2009 13:49

Good to hear from you Yellowflowers and I hope you had a lovely relaxing holiday You have been missed - this thread has gone very quiet again.

I'm trying to sit back serenely and wait for AF to arrive tomorrow or Wed, but instead am symptom spotting and knicker checking

Joolsiam · 18/08/2009 19:07

Well, not surprising that AF showed up, although I was really beginning to wonder, as I still have sore boobs and feel nauseous and bloated, had virtually none of the usual pre-AF spotting or hormones storm to break me in gently either - just full on heavy, unusually clotty and unusually painful since I got up this morning - also a day earlier than FF predicted.

It feels like Groundhog Day actually - this time last year, I had my first CP and am beginning to wonder if this is one aswell.

I don't feel too bad this time round - no meltdown imminent, but could do with a hot water bottle and some strong painkillers !

I am a bit bothered about the significance of this next cycle though - if I conceived this time round, my EDD would be only 2 days different to the worst of my miscarriages and I'm really not sure if I could cope emotionally with all the significance of the little milestones along the way. Can't bring myself to not try for a month either - dilemma

OMG. I have no idea what happened there. I'm going to ask HQ to delete and I'll re post. It's too hard to read.

daisydotandgertie · 21/08/2009 11:05

Jools - do you know what - I'd say try, try and try again. Making a baby isn't as easy as I thought it was - and if by any chance it does work this time around, it will be a little miracle all of it's own.

You're probably going to think I'm barking mad/heartless or an old cow, but I am sure that life has to keep moving onwards. To dwell too much on the past at the expense of grabbing with both hands what just might be in the future just isn't what we're here for.

I'd give my eye teeth for AF to arrive at the moment. I am now on CD 76 with no bloody change at all. It's now 2 weeks since my last blood test (bfn); I've had another 3 days of spotting and nothing else. I've ordered more pg tests which should arrive today, and the doc has said to go back if I still have no period.
I actually don’t know what to do. I’m clearly not pg, and unlikely to become so until this cycle ends, but feel as though I must do another test. I’m not showing any signs of menopause (thank god) and have never, never had anything like this in my life. I can’t find anything on the web which could explain why AF has fucked off; I have no stress, illness or catastrophe, no pain or other symptoms. The only reason I can find that fits is that I’m up the pole. But I’m told I’m not.
I’m getting anxious now; we’re going on holiday next weekend and I really, really don’t want a whopping AF to arrive on the plane. And if I’m pg, I want to know before we go; it might affect what we do/travel insurance etc, etc. On paper, I could now be nearly 11 weeks. V scary.

daisydotandgertie · 21/08/2009 11:07

OK - It's halfway better. Can you read it? substitute the &#8217 for ' and it's much better.

Sorry for the faffing about. I seem to have lost my marbles.

Joolsiam · 21/08/2009 11:12

Well losing your marbles is a pregnancy symptom

Seriously, I'd be climbing the walls with frustration in your situation - can only hope AF or a BFP arrives soon

daisydotandgertie · 21/08/2009 11:36

That's what I thought just as I clicked the post button!

Am am frustrated - but really don't know what to do. I'm a bit out of my comfort zone now!
