C1NDY thanks for asking. Not much to report really. Been trying about three months now.Initially i came off the pill to get it out of my system as i have been on it since i was 15 and am 34 this August. But we are now officially trying which i am really excited about. My things aren't working as they should be for my db so i think it's going to be a slow process hence being really hopeful after success this month. He is more keen IYSWIM than me so i need to start making more of an effort to give us a better chance .
Oh yes, and thanks for the thread! Am going to start on the grapefruit juice today and am on Weight watchers again. And am off the booze. So am very determined now. All advice gratefully recieved!

I missed your get well wishes iggy - sorry and thank you. Still full of cold and hurts to swallow - had sleep yesterday afternoon then better in evening. Marginally better today I think. DH and I both out for dinner tonight though with different people - me with old school friend and him with the bloke who was his best man. Neither big drinks I am pleased to say and have told dh that it would make me happy if we could BD tonight though actually I have no cm at all so maybe I have already ovulated or maybe it is delayed because of illness.

Anyone have any info on when AF will be due after a MC will it take weeks and weeks? Yes, you have guessed it Cindy is very impatient. Right have to do a bit of work but will be right back.

yellowflowers · 22/04/2009 10:18

we should add that if anyone is new to MN or has been lurking and wants a supportive and nice thread they can come and join us on this spanking new one?

C1NDY · 22/04/2009 10:21

Kittyc@t when the time is right it will happen. Have you tried following the DP... everytime I have become pg I have always conceived earlier rather than later in my cycle... I start bd on CD8 then miss a day and bd... give it a whirl.

Joolsiam · 22/04/2009 10:21

C1ndy this site helped me - if you scroll down the page, it talks about AF normally returning between 4 and 7 weeks.

I had anovulatory bleed after 6 weeks, then a 35 day cycle, then was back to 28 days

C1NDY · 22/04/2009 10:22

Yellow here! here! or is that hear! hear! hummmm...

iggypiggy · 22/04/2009 10:28

c1ndy thank you xx

yellow glad you bit better - fingers crossed for BD tonight!

kitty I am 33 now and came off pill in Oct 07 after 12 years on pill... was usuing other contraception (condoms) until Sept 08 - then started ttc - so took me 5 months to get PG - although sadly not for long! I put something up on the last thread about the average time for a woman in her early thirties being 9 months..

jools Whats an anovulatory bleed? Do you mean no ovulation before first bleed?

iggypiggy · 22/04/2009 10:28

ps. kitty am paranoid about being too old - I know am not really - but anything over 30 seems too old now am ttc!

kittycatcat · 22/04/2009 10:36

Iggy thanks. I am sorry things turned out the way they did , and ditto, my db is 6 yrs younger than me. I told him many years ago i would wait a few years but not forever, as i felt the clock ticking and he felt (and was) too young, but he is 28 now. and his brother is now a dad, and his nephew is the first baby he has been around, and happily he is now ready

What OV tests do you use if you do? Is this the infor FF looks for?

Joolsiam · 22/04/2009 10:39

Iggy - I am 39 !

Anovulatory bleed - no ovulation that cycle -first after MC. I could tell because of multiple patches of EWCM which means the body is trying to ovulate but failing. Bleed was 6 weeks after MC and after a big patch of EWCM - I actually thought I could be PG for a while and it was an implantation bleed ! I did a PG test on Christmas Eve and got the faintest of faint lines, but I now think it was the last of the HCG leaving my system - hence I wouldn't ovulate.

It was 6 days long and extremely light - pinkish rather than red, no clots, no PMT, no pain.

C1NDY · 22/04/2009 10:41

Kitty CD.. mean the cycle day... so CD1 would be the start of AF..etc.. till the end of your cycle day which mine would be CD28. DP = to the Deanna Plan, have a read its interesting read and she has a fab website with all interesting subjects. Found at www.pregnancyloss.info/sperm_meets_egg_plan.htm I hope this works as I tried to do the linky thing.... otherwise just copy and paste into your web browser.

iggypiggy · 22/04/2009 10:47

Jools I know am not old - but I just feel the clock ticking, have done since turned 31 - like kitty says. 39 is young too xx Thanks for explaining - always wondered about that!

kitty I was rubbish at using ov sticks... I just BD'd almost every day for the whole of Feb! FF would be better if I did enter OV data tho...

kittycatcat · 22/04/2009 10:49

Link works, thanks. And dur CD is obvious isn't it. Silly me. Thank you!

jardins · 22/04/2009 11:05

Hello can I join in, please? Following my m c at 6 weeks, which started 23 March, have just had my first period. Yippee!! I'm keen to get back into TTC. Am a forty year old spring chicken.

kittycatcat · 22/04/2009 11:07

Course you can Jardins welcome on board Sorry about your mc. Great that you have AF back

Pinkyblue123 · 22/04/2009 11:29

My goodness ladies what a busy morning.

Well done Cindy for starting new thread, glad to hear you are feeling positive.

Welcome Jardins

Hope you are OK Jools take it easy.

Have you tested yet Kitty? I am resisting the urge. If still no AF by Saturday will test then.

Well my temp dipped a few days ago and then has started rising again, could this be a good sign? No AF symptoms and it is CD 27 of 28/29 cycle. Creamy CM Cervix high and firm. You can tell I have been looking at FF too much!!

Big hello to everyone else!!

kittycatcat · 22/04/2009 11:37

Hi pinkyblue ok you got me, i tested last night, and i know thats not the best time. Was BFN. Dont think i like clearblue digital pointing it out quite so bluntly

kittycatcat · 22/04/2009 11:41

Right am ordering opk's, should i be temping to do we think?

C1NDY · 22/04/2009 11:54

Jardins welcome, and sorry for your MC... I have just had one and am waiting for my AF to arrive... so I know how you feel... Please update yourself on the list which is on the first page, with your details - when you have a moment. We are all friendly here, so if you want to talk about anything then we are here to listen.

OP posts:
C1NDY · 22/04/2009 12:23

Jardins I meant.. I know how you feel being excited that AF has arrived!

OP posts:
Pinkyblue123 · 22/04/2009 12:52

Kitty what a bummer, was it an early predictor test? It might just have been to early to test? It is not over until AF arrives!

I am resisting as have no tests in the house, it always seems such a waste to test and get a BFN so my new rule is only test when AF is late - i hope i can stick to it!!

RE temping I have found it useful this month as it shows I have definately Ovulated. Ask me in a couple of days if it has lead to a positive result!! It is a bit of a pain having to remember in the morning but i have felt like it gives me a little control over everything in a strange sort of way.

Still no AF signs apart from wanted to eat the entire contents of my fridge! Mind you I guess that could also be PG sign. I have everything crossed as ever!!

kittycatcat · 22/04/2009 13:00

fingers crossed pinky, do you have to temp before you get out of bed. Worried DB might think (know) i am being obsessive! lol
