it really is I've had AF but still feel PG i thjink my body is just playing horrible tricks on me

champagne14 · 02/10/2008 14:15

Have been diagnosed with a dermoid, mine was found from an Xray I had done of my hip becuase they could see teeth! I am being treated privately which I know is lucky and it has been very quick. I have had internal and external scan also a CT scan as mine is very large 13cm by 8 cm and have been advised that I will probably lose one ovary. I will have to have a Laparotomy due to the size but am not in pain and haven't really had any noticeable symptoms. A friend had a demoid when she was pregnant and had it removed whilst pregnant as it was growing rapidly, all successful and her daughter is 16 now so in my opinion better to get it sorted through a laparoscopy when its small than have to have the large op of the laparotomy like I will have to have which means no driving for 4 weeks!

sorry folks posted my message on wrong thread ignore me and my cyst

HI All

Hunny > Hope that when you test again in a few days you get your BFP. I cant remember the exact percentages but it is only a small percentage of people that get bfp's on the 1st day of a missed period. Fingers Crossed

Champagne > Sorry to hear of you Cyst. Hope that you are well, and treatment goes well for you.

Hello and Welcome to all the newbies lots of baby dust to you all .

Hope everyone is well.

Does anyone know of any ways to increase your Leutal Phase? Worked out that mine was about 9/10 days this past cycle. I think 12 days is suppossed to be ideal isnt it? I'm really ready to try anything to provide premium conditions
x

xxhunnyxx · 02/10/2008 20:37

AF is beginning to rear her ugly head .
Never mind tho, I'm gonna chill out tonight and treat myself to a couple of glasses of wine and a wispa mmmm (both purely for medicinal purposes of course!).
I'm now really looking forward to the month ahead, I've got myself so healthy I don't know how a little bean couldn't resist sticking around inside me for 9 months!
littleprincess I'm no expert but I'm pretty sure that there's no way that u can incease your Leutal phase by yourself but I'm sure my GP mentioned something to me about possibly prescribing something to regulate my cycle (I want to try it naturally for a bit longer tho). So if u see your GP they may be able to give u something to lengthen it.

LittleCheese · 02/10/2008 21:28

hunny
just look on the brightside, at least you didnt waste your clear blue digital good luck fo this month, i think i need to take a leaf out of your book. I dont really do healthy

xxhunnyxx · 02/10/2008 21:40

Well I did a google search about increasing fertility and it recommended various vitamins so now I'm eating lots of fruit, veg, beans etc and also swapped to organic meat. I'm also drinking my grapefruit juice every morning, which I wash my pregnancy vitamins and evening primose oil down with. I don't know whether it will make a difference but it's helped me feel more in control. Plus I've noticed that I'm not been as bloated as normal, I usually look about 6 months pregnant when AF arrives but not today! So that's got to be a bonus!

Wishing · 02/10/2008 22:35

hunny I've heard that citrus drinks can make tablets ineffective if you have them at the same time. Not positive if this is also the case with supplements but I usually take mine with water once my grapefruit juice has had time to be digested, just in case. Anyway just a tip for you, although it may not be totally correct it's better to be safe than sorry iykwim.

yellowflowers - I haven't seen the specialist yet, the appointment isn't 'til later this month, I will have to wait and see what happens.

I'd love to not have to bother because I've got pg before then but not holding my breath!

Taking my mind off things a bit by thinking about Christmas . I realise it's maybe a bit early but I like to feel organised before it races up on me!!

xxhunnyxx · 02/10/2008 23:25

MamaMimi that's weird cos I kinda heard the opposite... well I was watchin that programme 'freaky eaters' the other night and they said that your body needs vitamin C to be able to intake iron so I gathered that I was probably best to have them with the grapefruit juice. I'll get googleing again (I google everything!) thanks for the tip tho

MamaMimi · 02/10/2008 23:33

Yeah, so much conflicting advice around you never know what is right. Keep me updated on the results of your 'googling'!

xxhunnyxx · 02/10/2008 23:47

Right well I've been googling and the answer is.......nobody really knows! I found one website that said that cirtus juice (primarily grapefruit juice) can affect medications but some medications it increases it's affectiveness and other medications it reduces the affectiveness. I also found something else that said that vitamin C is inaffective if taken with water because it will just pass straight thru u. I think the answer is that it probably doesn't really make much difference either way. I get all my essential vitamins from my food so the supplements are just a little top up and it helps me feel like I'm being pro-active at baby making if I'm popping some pills lol.

1LittlePrincess · 03/10/2008 00:03

Thanks for that hunny I too would like to steer clear of the medical route if at all possible. I alraedy have 1 DD and had M/C in april. However since M/C cycles have been all over the place. Prehaps i'll wait abit longer to see if Leutal Phase gets longer when cycles settle down.

With regards to the fruit juice and Vits.... Iron does need to be taken with Vit so that it can be absorbed. I think that the problem with fruit juice and combined supplements is that the acid can begin to break them down prematurly. hth. But like you say know one really knows so you are doing the right thing by having a balenced diet and using them to top-up! I agree that I also feel more pro-active when im taking something to 'help'

Hi Wishing >

MamaMimi> Im trying to take me mind of TTC by preparing for Christmas too. However, I'm running out of space to store everything that I'm buying

Hello all

Well I'm due sometime this w/e so keep your fingers crossed for me.

Off to the in-laws in the country tonight, but will update on Monday and let you know if AF is here.

smallone · 03/10/2008 09:07

Good luck Stokey!

Enjoy your wine hunny!

sammysam · 03/10/2008 09:14

Morning everyone

Have been drinking grapefruit juice for the last few weeks and have noticed a huge increase in CM (wandering if this is so noticable cos i'm still BF and cm was fairly non existant most of the month!?) I was just wanering if drinking it is one of those things you should stop once you have ovulated-does anyone know?
Think i'll be ovulating in the next few days or so (last month it was day 16)so time to get busy!

Good luck everyone, and good luck for this weekend stokey-hope you get a BFP!

LittleCheese · 03/10/2008 11:17

Stokey i have my fingers crossed for you. Have a nice weekend away, I know i will ;)

smeraldina · 03/10/2008 13:40

Hello all,

Just wanted to wish you all a good weekend.

Will be going at it like the clappers, although I think I ovulate later in the month. My guess is that if we try nearly every day, that at least covers one base. Last month, I was convinced we had conceived (I had terrible backache which I thought was a pg symptom) so we stopped (as I miscarried last time one day after terribly cramps after intercourse).

Turned out the bad back was due to a change of bed - so that was a lousy month - back ache for no reason and no fun in bed!

Am off to have a smear test (overdue) and DREADING it (see thread earlier) and completely neurotic about, but really looking forward to it being over and hope I won't end up too terrified as waiting for the results. Anyone know how long it takes to hear?

love Smeraldina.

Sending lots of baby dust to all those ladies who have busy weekends planned xxxxx

smallone · 03/10/2008 19:58

Smeraldina - I had mine on tue, not too bad, v nice nurse who did it. She said it would be about two weeks for the results.

smeraldina · 04/10/2008 17:24

Thanks smallone. Well, smear all done now.

Lovely lovely nurse so felt cheery all yesterday. Now worrying about result is creeping back again but surely even I can't keep worrying for a fortnight???? Maybe one sort of two week wait will distract from the other

Waiting2Exhale · 04/10/2008 20:48

Hi all...just thought I'd pop on to wish everyone bding over this weekend, as i am, the very best of luck....tiring job this .

smallone · 04/10/2008 22:21

Hey everyone, DH made a recovery and BD'd on day 12. Today I've had cramping and my boobs hurt. I promised myself I wouldn't turn neurotic about this (yet!) so I need lots of sensible people to tell me that this is just ovulation and that I must get this every month but I don't usually pay attention.

questions2008 · 04/10/2008 22:47

smallone yes me too!
this is the first time I've ever noticed boobs and cramps at ovulation time if that is indeed what they are. how could we have ignored them before, they seem so obvious now?!?!
