Hi guys - we've had May and June, so may July be third thread lucky. I am a July baby myself. All welcome.

shoptilidrop · 12/11/2008 11:30

great news small one - symptoms all sound very promising - fingers crossed for you.

LollysMum1 · 12/11/2008 14:00

Great news smallone! You must be so relieved. Let's hope you get a BFP now - you deserve it! As for me I'm off to the August thread. CD 1 today. A relief really as all this uncertainty was driving me mad and I get to use my shiny new CB fertility monitor at last. So romantic and spontaneous this TTC lark!! Farewell... but will be still checking in on the rest of you!

smallone · 13/11/2008 09:10

Right one last update of the list and then I'm off to join the august thread. Tested yesterday, got a very very faint pos, really convinced myself I was pregnant, and AF has arrived this morning. Still, at least I've had good news this week and can relax into trying next month.

Good luck to everyone

hi guys!
now 5 days late, but 3 BFN... keep sympton spotting, hightened sence of smell, sore (.)(.)... urrrg, i just want to know now!

mickeylou · 13/11/2008 13:36

so sorry to hear that smallone. must have been all the more disappointing if had a faint positive last night. like you say though at least you will be able to relax a bit more now. take care. i might see you next week on the august thread. i'm just not really expecting a BFP this time around.

girlwithacurl. you must be going mental! when are you going to test again?

1LittlePrincess · 13/11/2008 19:38

Hi all, sorry I havnt been on much lately my internet was playing up so havnt had web access for ages

WOW so many BFP's thats wonderful, congratulations to you all.

Unfortunatly AF reared her ugly head for me when I was on CD35 (cycles getting longer ) So im now on CD11 and getting ready to start the bedathon again

I wish all those who are waiting to test lots of luck, those who have BFP's lots of baby glue, and those who didnt catch this cycle see you on the next thread.

Take Care x

girlwithacurl · 14/11/2008 11:08

Sorry little Princess, better luck this month!!

Waiting until tomorrow to test again, getting PFN was too deppressing... still no sign of AF though!

mickeylou · 16/11/2008 09:40

Morning everyone. ive updated the bottom section of the list. hope its ok.

is anybody testing today? are things any clearer for you girlwithacurl?

af due on wednesday of next week. i have absolutely no symptoms, unlike last cycle when i was convinced i was pg only to be proven wrong!

i have a job interview next week too so depending on how that goes i may not be ttc for the next month or so as i cant risk not getting stat maternity pay. if i am pg this month i will stay in job i have now.

Haven't posted for a while, so apologies for not personalising any further than to congratulate the BFPs and commisserate with the BFNs. Even though I moved to August, I was actually borderline and then ov'd early so it's still July for me, except have had a BFN on day -3 today, so not much hope left.

Just wanted to respond to mickeylou's post. AFAIK, if you don't qualify for stat mat pay, you should still get maternity allowance which is exactly the same amount. Probably worth checking out the berr.gov.uk website.

And smallone, really feel for you. I had the faint positive day before AF arrived last time too.

Good luck everyone still waiting and see you on the August thread those who missed out this time.

mickeylou · 17/11/2008 08:58

thanks for that link issy42. i hadnt realised that the maternity allowance was the same amount as stat mat pay. my dh has just gone self employed and so my income is supporting us at the moment. we have been putting off ttc for that reason but with ds turning 3 now we decided to see what happens and then will have to seriously tighten our belts!!

anyway, i think i will be hopping over to the august thread on wednesday. had cramping pains last night and think af is on the way. if we do ttc next cycle and i got pg edd would be my 30th birthday!

girlwithacurl · 17/11/2008 10:12

Hello, so had a v. stresfull weekend. Still no AF on sat, which meant I was 7 days late... got a Very faint positive, but DP was not convinced and tried not to let me get excited, which is just as well as on sunday AF did come. So, over to August for me!

mickeylou · 17/11/2008 10:46

oh balls. really thought you'd cracked it girlwithacurl. probably see you on august thread in a couple of days. positive i'm not pg but still trying to stop myself doing a test.

girlwithacurl · 17/11/2008 11:03

Fingers crossed for you Mickeylou!

ellsbellzie · 17/11/2008 13:38

Hi everyone! Girlwithacurl Sorry to hear it wasnt great news, im sure ill see you very soon on the August thread, lets hope its a luckey one!

I couldn't help myself and did another early test, and yet again it was BFN, which I knew would be, im a few dates late now why is it when we ttc our cycles decide to play about!

mickeylou, Ive been looking at applying for a new job, but had concerns about the whole maternity pay thing too, my company pay 90% of my salary for 6 weeks then £100 for the rest of the merternity leave. I don't know how it works if I stared a new job what I would get paid if I was to become pregnant straight away, im not sure whether to wait a year or so, though jobs keep popping up which are ideal and much better pay!

Issy42 · 17/11/2008 18:39

ellsbellzie - your company is paying the statutory minimum in that case (unless you take more than 39 weeks when the statutory stops). If you moved you would have to work at your new employer for a certain length of time before you would qualify - 6 months before the 15th week before EDD. However, you would get maternity allowance instead if you:

? have been (employed or self employed) for at least 26 of the 66 weeks before the week your baby was due (a part week counts as a full week)
? earned an average of £30 over any 13 of those 66 weeks

The standard rate of MA is £117.18 or 90 per cent of your average weekly earnings, whichever is less. MA is paid for up to 39 weeks; it is not liable to income tax or NI contributions. taken from here

So mickeylou not same as SMP for first 6 weeks, sorry, got that wrong. Good luck!

I too dislike my job (well, my boss) but am sticking it out for the maternity pay - and the hope that she will have left by the time I got back from maternity leave

Sorry you had to move to August girlwithacurl - see you over there.

mickeylou · 18/11/2008 09:04

Hi ellsbellzie, to be honest i quite like my job at the moment, having moved here a couple of years ago to escape the boss from hell. its only the lure of more money which is tempting me to look elsewhere, especially with dh setting up on his own. anyway, the person who was supposed to call me about a second interview hasnt so who knows whats happening there!

here is todays list. i have stomach ache today. not sure whether its af on its way or just that huge pizza i had last might!!

ps, i was just wondering how all you bfps are doing/feeling at the moment??

Well I'm now firmly on the August thread. My temp dropped right back well below my coverline this morning so that's me definitively out for this cycle . AF should arrive later tonight/tomorrow.

Good luck everyone xxx

Belgrano · 18/11/2008 20:41

Mickylou - I've been keeping track of you guys but didn't want to post (not sure if you're meant to evacuate a ttc thread if you get a BFP!).
Anyway, thanks for asking. As for me, I'm fine. Scarily so - I had forgotten how worrying this v early part of pg is and have been worrying about everything from not feeling sick to having a big (I think) tummy already to not having sore boobs etc etc. Basically I am still quite unbelieving and still not letting myself get excited - 5 weeks yesterday so not very far along yet.
But I am a grumpy old goat if you listen to my DH!
Sorry to all of you with BFNs and good luck for August. Really good luck for those of you still to test. I have my everything crossed that another of you lovely ladies from this thread will join the BFP list soon.

mickeylou · 19/11/2008 11:05
