Sorry. That should be MISO soup Mollie. Don't know what misco soup is but it sounds pretty grim!!!!

FruitynNutty · 23/07/2008 15:42

OOh georgie I'd love a cornetto

Trouble is, I haven't stopped eating! I can't wait for MS to kick in so I stop stuffing food in my gob morning and night BTW, I doubt my greed is preg related, I'm a greedy cow at the best of times

Hi all,
Just checking in quickly. I've been so busy enjoying the sun today and want to be outside as much as possible before the rain starts again...we've had the pool out in the garden - sounds so glam but it's just one of those paddling things .
I'll check in a bit later.

Emmsy1 · 23/07/2008 18:50

HTGG I would love a mint choc chip cornetto, its great when its 'virtual' it doesn't go on the hips

Fruity remember missus alot of people with morning sickness spend alot of time eating to try and make them selves feel better, thats why I am now a fat heffer!

Ei thanks for the info on the xmas meet up, when you do the link for me I will pop in & introduce myself (mind you, will have to come in fancy dress, after all my scary posts!)

sparkly glad your enjoying the sunshine Thanks for last night's advice on msn, ended up having bad dreams last night and was wide awake at 3.30am, Olivia has alot to answer for!

haven't been too well today, phoned the ante-natal dept at hosp this afternoon, have been 'very' dizzy most of the day, and started to have intermittent pain in my right eye? have felt as though it's too bright for me to look outside although it has been overcast today, I was passed from pillar to post and finally spoke to a lovely midwife on the labour ward, she thought that the dizziness may mean than I am aneamic and the pain in my eye could be because of all the changes that you have in your eyes when your pregnant, told her I was diagnosed with 'dry eye' back in December, she recommended that I go to an optician and to ring my Midwife team to try and get an appt for Monday for a full blood count. Can't get an appt for Monday as they are fully booked & GP's receptionist said they are not allowed to squeeze anyone in or they will get into trouble, rang hosp back, they gave me direct line for my midwife team, got through to an answering machine & left a message, still waiting to be called back. I go on holiday on 2nd August for 2 weeks, and was told I need to get bloods done before, I feel as though I am knocking my head against a brick wall If they don't ring me tomorrow I may go & ask chemist if they have any 'over the counter' Iron tablets, what a dizzy day!

Sparkly08 · 23/07/2008 19:35

Hi ladies,
Have just got DD in bed and DP has gone for a 10k run so I'm enjoying a bit of peace. I'm feeling exhausted from the sun today. Am going to make sushi for dinner because I can't face cooking anything else....
My temp dropped a lot this morning but it's still above my recent temps so I think I'm 2dpo. Only 12 more to go!!
I can't believe we have nearly reached another 1000 posts.

Cricri I'm very of your break. It sounds as though you're having a fab time.
Ei Any other signs of ovulation yet? Lots of luck to you.
Mollie Keep trying to drink lots of water for IBS and little and often for MS. Thinking of you. xx
Tee I need reminding that the gym makes me feel good too. I was going 4 times a week but have reduced my visits to non in the last few weeks. . I might go on Friday.
HTGG Excellent symptom spotting from you. Are you a serial tester? It's amazing how much you end up packing for a holiday and then not using...at least that what I always do.
Fruity You're eating for 2 now...get munching .
Emmsy How are you feeling now lovely? The MWs are always crap at getting back to people. You should be able to have bloods done at the hospital. It might be worth phoning them again. My iron level was 7.3 in pregnany and I eat lots of iron but DD was draining me. I was very dizzy and tired all the time and felt great when I started the iron tablets (- the TMI black poo!).
Mibbes Have you had the chance to load up scan pics yet?
LL Thinking of you today.
Yarnie Where are you missy?

Hi Sparkly hun! I'm impressed you MAKE sushi! You sure you don't just pop open the box

I'm eating a salad with half fat grated cheese in a bid to avoid carbs for just one meal. It's right dull though. Needs a bit of substance.

I've got 5 months worth of accounts to get through. I should do it every week but good old procrastination takes over somehow I've decided to do one month a night. I did March last night and it didn't take me long really. Just trying to put on there as much as possible so my tax bill doesn't come to too much. I don't need a receipt for £10 and under but I keep them all (you never know!) so I've got all those receipts to go through. It's amazing how much they add up! Being a CM I get to add loads of things too

I've got to try and send of my tax return with the correct info on this year. It was returned to me about 5 times last year with mistakes I really have no idea what I'm doing. Can't afford an accountant either.

In fact the IR owe me a nice wedge of cash from last year. I'm still waiting!

Oooh just discovered some left over doritos

OP posts:
Sparkly08 · 23/07/2008 21:15

LOL at doritos...
Fruity What do you take me for? I just had some homemade rhubarb crumble too...my mum made it for us . Good luck with tax return

teeheelaydee · 23/07/2008 21:25

Sparkly Sushi is what you make when you can't be bothered! I would like dinner at your house. I have visions of you as domestic goddess playing in the sun with your kids and then whipping up delectable meals for your DH. I am also planning on going to gym on Fri so I'll hold you to that.

Emmsy Hope you are feeling better and are able to have a bit of a rest??

Fruity I had carb free meal but does it really count if it is chicken with cheese and cream with roasted marrow. No carbs but buckets and buckets of fat! (Even the marrow had butter on it) So, even with your Doritos you have still outhealthed me.

DP has left on his backpacking trip, cats are ignoring me so all I have for company is box of maltesers and last nights 'Bonekickers'

Sparkly08 · 23/07/2008 21:32

Aww teehee I'm here too. DP is watching a film that I missed the start of so I can't get into it now. I'd like some maltesers, please .
Far from the image you have of me. I do play a lot with DD but not often caught making delectable meals...only in DPs dreams. Argh, I'm scared about Friday. I may spear myself on the cross trainer.

teeheelaydee · 23/07/2008 21:51

I also have Cadbury's Dairy Milk chunks and a bottle of rose - I love living with a teacher at the end of term.

You are welcome to share, particularly the Turkish Delight Dairy Milk - yuk!

I really should turn off the TV and read or something as I am not really paying much attention to it.

Apparently it's going to be hot again tomorrow. My mum has my neices for the day and they want me to go and play in the paddling pool. I've said OK as long as they make me lunch. Goodness knows what I will get as they are 6 & 5. Roll on the sun though.

FruitynNutty · 23/07/2008 22:14

LOL at the delectable meals for your DP Sparkly Mind you, you did put on a rather impressive spread when you had Ei and me over Love you really!

Oh crap, DS has been at the laptop while I wasn't looking. Hes pulled one of the buttons off DP's gonna go mad and of course blame me for not watching him like a hawk 24/7 (like he would) It's not an important button, just my self destruct one Nah it's the one with the + and = on (Oh and it still works )
I've just finished Aprils receipts so am going to get ready for bed in a bit.
Teehee lob us over some dairy milk, I love Turkish delight, especially the old fashioned ones that taste like perfume yummy. You can keep your Marrow though, far too healthy for me, even smothered in butter.

Gotta take Phoebe to the vet tomorrow for her 2nd jab. Also I've got my friend's delicious 4 month old baby boy tomorrow. She wants me to have him every Thursday He's soooo yummy, I might eat him!

Evening Ladies! Just a quick one in case you thought I'd been abducted by aliens
I'm sorry I haven't managed to keep up over the last couple of days, hopefullly I will have time for a proper catch up tomorrow.
Not much to report here, seem to be very busy without actually achieving anything (story of my life...) Though if you really want to know, I went for a smear test yesterday (had to wait for THREE AND A HALF HOURS to be seen ) and today I went to the dentist. Oh the glamour. Did get taken to tea at the Ritz on Saturday though so can't really complain !
Must go to bed now, mega early start tomorrow... Night all, lots of love xx

kate2179 · 23/07/2008 23:10

PS HTGG thank you so much for your lovely email, am really looking forward to 20th sept!

QueenyEisGotTheBall · 24/07/2008 00:44

emmsy here is the northern meetup link i promised sounds like it will be fun
doesn anyone else fancy it?
xx ei xx

Emmsy1 · 24/07/2008 07:52

Thanks for the link Ei had a look, but don't really fancy it, the baby should only be approx 1 month old on the date there going, think I will still be in,excessive tiredness mode then there's about 40+ people going and I don't know any of them, it's in Manchester in the evening, that terrifies me, haven't been on a night out in a few yearsand that was only to a family wedding reception, the expense of going into waxys, then finding somewhere to stay at the end of the evening. DH doesn't even agree with me having conversations on mumsnet, let alone travelling to Manchester for an evening out. Would so much prefer to meet up in the daytime for coffee with people that I am starting to feel that I know and trust eg.Sparkly/Mollie/Fruity/Mibbes/Cricri etc... and yourself of course! (most of the girls on this thread) Sorry I'm such a wuss, haven't got the confidence for nights out anymore, thanks for thinking of me!xxxx

MollieMooma · 24/07/2008 11:01

Emmsy How's the dizziness?
Yarnie U OK?
kate 3.5 hours for a smear, wow that must be a record, bloody doctors!

I have had to skim read the posts because you naughty people are all talking about food and I'm not loving it at the moment Went to GP this morning she can't do anything about the IBS but given me tablets for the MS, I've decided to finish work at lunch and not come in tomorrow so I can have a few days rest and try and sort myself out
Promise I will read properly later when feeling a little less sick

Mollie waves to everyone

Emmsy1 · 24/07/2008 11:20

mollie still feel very lightheaded, MW came out to my house this morning and took my bloods will get results on Monday, she also rang gp to get a prescription of pregaday, need to pick it up later, was told to have 1 a day until I get my results, may need to increase dose or may not need them. MW said I didn't look anaemic! told her I have been very breathless, so she still wants me to take iron for time being. Blood pressure always been quite low was 105/65 (think I'm dead with bottom number being that low!) not a lot u can really do with MS, hope your not actually throwing up all day, as you could be in danger of dehydration?
nice to hear your ok Kate 3 1/2 hrs for a smear, that's disgraceful, either that or your cervix is on the top of your head!
Hope everyone else is ok?xxx

QueenyEisGotTheBall · 24/07/2008 11:26

hi ladies
emmsy not to worry i have been a little sneaky on the manchester meetup front and have persuaded DH to join MN so he is officially allowed to coe too i only know one or two on the list in real life so i dont fancy going by myself and it will double up as a dirty weekend for me and DH so kill 2 birds with 1 stone
mollie glad your GP has given you something for the MS. i hope this helps
hi t everyone else

Hello ladies, have tried to read the last 5 pages in detail, you lot talk too much
When did you leave Farnham Yarnie? We were there from 2004 to 2006 and then moved back to Australia. HTGG, I do miss the UK, after 11yrs there (give or take a couple of years travelling elsewhere). Don't miss the weather, but do miss the countryside, history, architecture and good friends. But with dd2 arriving on Xmas Day, I decided I couldn't do a 2nd winter as a sahm with 2 children, so we moved back to Australia for dd1 to start school here.
Good to hear everyone scans have gone well. Sorry to hear about your m/c LL, crap isn't it.
Hope blood tests don't show anything drastic Emmsy and that you're feeling better soon.
Not sure about anyone else, but my stats were out by one day.
Think I'm ovulating sometime soon, managed to bd last night and hopefully tomorrow night as well, as it's our 10th wedding anniversary, no excuse really
