hi LL i posted on the waiting room thread for you but i wanted to say im sorry that you are going through this again!! i hope you find your answers soon. it seems as if my problems may be caused by my underactive thyroid have you had yours checked? im sure the consultant will check all avenues etc but i would make sure they check that one. also did your
gp agree on the CP front? my GP said there was no such thing so the opinion varies somewhat widely. also i have read that a CP explaination is suitable for pregs 5 weeks and under (mine were 5+1 and 5 weeks so fit in with that) for the reason that if scanned there would be nothing to see so early on IYSWIM as a heartbeat cn be seen at weeks the preg can be confirmed. im sorry about your awful situation again and if you want to talk im always around and you can have my email addy if you want i am happy to help and support you {{{{{{hugs}}}}}}
xx ei xx

QueenyEisGotTheBall · 21/07/2008 13:25

sorry that was meant to read HB can be seen at 6 weeks.
xx ei xx

LobstersLass · 21/07/2008 13:31

Hi ei, well maybe it wasn't a CP then. To be honest, no-one's ever used that term with me. I've used it after seeing it on here and researching what it meant.

My first was at 5+4
This one was at 6 weeks exactly.

Scan is tomorrow, but I hardly think that there will be anything to see as the bleeding started on Saturday.

Thank you for your comments. xx

QueenyEisGotTheBall · 21/07/2008 13:39

LL i hope when you got for your scan they give you some concrete answers. have you tested since saturday? the reason i ask that is with the fact that bleeding in early preg is common so i am holding a little bit of hope for you that it is 'just' a bleed. it will be amazing if it is and if not we are here to hold your hand through everything xx
xx ei xx

mibbes · 21/07/2008 13:56

LobsterLass so sorry to hear that this is happening again . I suppose it is a positive that they are going to investigate after 2 (I know a lot of people who are told they have to go through this 3 times - which seems ridiculous to me). Look after yourself hun {{big hugs}} xx

Yarnie definitely a good idea to stop temping - I kept going and panicked at every dip. Apparently after 18 high temps they temp can be misleading anyway as can drop even if all is well.

I'd love to come to the coffee morning but a flight from Scotland for a coffee is a bit excessive

Just had 20 week scan and all is well. All the bits are there and in the right place and measuring exactly 20 weeks . Such a relief, I was less worried this time than at the 12 week scan but still got nervous just before we went in. The sonogrpaher was lovely and gave us loads of pics including a brilliant one of the soles of his/her feet !

FruitynNutty · 21/07/2008 14:32

Oh LL so sorry

Mibbes So you're not going to find out the flavour then? Me neither

OP posts:
Sparkly08 · 21/07/2008 14:42

Just woken up to read your sad news LL. Am thinking of you. [hugs].

Mibbes I'm so glad everything went well. Did you get some good pics to post?

I just dragged my DP back to bed and took my temp and it was still low. We BD'd and then I slept for 2 hours and took my temp again and it was .26 higher. Do you think that means the egg has come and gone? I've been trying to work out how long it takes to ovulate and how long it takes the sperm to get to the egg....This will be my cycle!!!

FruitynNutty · 21/07/2008 14:55

2 hour nap! I'm so I want a nap. I think the mindees are going to be up soon so no chance of a nap for me.
Just keep BDing!!!! go for it woman BD like you've never BD'd before! This WILL be your cycle! It will it WILL!!!!

OP posts:
Emmsy1 · 21/07/2008 15:04

Oh sorry fruity I have just posted on our ante-natal thread about my little nap!
Wouldn't have rubbed your nose in it, if I had read this thread first!

FruitynNutty · 21/07/2008 15:19

No worries Emmsy I'll let that one slide on account of you being much more heavily pregnant than me

OP posts:
kate2179 · 21/07/2008 16:17

LL I'm so sorry you're having to go through this again. I hope you don't think I'm a horribly nosey cow for mentioning your situation to MrsEi - I still lurk in the waiting room so I saw your post, but I didn't want to plunge in by posting to you when we hadn't been in touch before, and when I'm not officially there anyway - iyswim . I really hope your consultant is as helpful as your doctor. Do you know how long you will have to wait for the appointment? I absolutely second what Ei said about testing your thyroid function, my consultant told me exactly the same thing.
Don't know if this is right, but my understanding of a CP was that the egg is fertilised but never implants, so the hormones start hence the +ve test, but it never gets much further than that. The first signs of even a very early successful pg should be visible on a scan (check out twighlightsurfer's photo from 5+2) but with CP I guess there'd be nothing to see.
Now you're here, will you stick around with us? In our opinion we're a very nice bunch of very attractive women !
(Apart from Emmsy who says she looks like Frank Butcher or someone, but having seen how cute her kids are we don't believe her

Even if you decide not to stay, please let us know how it goes tomorrow, I'll be thinking of you xx

Fruity I won't mention the fact that I've been napping as well then I don't know what's wrong with me, if DH hadn't been fully clothed for all recent activities I'd definitely be symptom spotting like mad by now - I'm STARVING huingry all the time and SOOOOO tired....

Go for it Sparkly! Not sure that temping in the day is reliable, even after a 2hour nap, but I def read somewhere that most women OV during the afternoon, so who knows!!

Mibbes can't believe you're not going to fly down for coffee - living in Scotland is a rubbish excuse!

HeyThereGeorgieGirl · 21/07/2008 18:01

Afternoon naps . Grrrrrrr. I love a good afternoon nap but no chance with DD2 bombing around like a nutter! But come Sunday, we'll be in Turkey. DD's will be in kids club so DH and I can 'nap' to our hearts content in the aftrnoon .

Lobsterlass very sorry to hear your news. I know we don't 'know' each other. But have been thru 2 m/c in last 6 months so can empathise with you. It really sucks. To say the least. I hope you get an answer one way or another tomorrow.

Mibbes - great news about the scan. You're very good not finding out the flavour. I just HAVE to know! Impatient. Moi?!

Kate. Got your email. How about 20th Sept for coffee morning? DH will look after DD's so can actually have a conversation with you!

Sparkly You go girl!

Hi to everyone else . Who wants a lovely cool glass of Pimms......

HeyThereGeorgieGirl · 21/07/2008 18:02

Coffee Morning - Ladies come on down to Wim Vill on Sat 20th Sept for coffee, cake and a good old fashioned natter. No excuses accepted!

kate2179 · 21/07/2008 18:08

Hurrah!! 20th Sept sounds great! But please can any of us who are not pg move on to the wine/pimms after a suitable interval?

Yarnie · 21/07/2008 18:12

I hope I can come on 20 September, although it may be a flying visit. It's the day before my 30th birthday and I know DF is making plans. I'm fairly sure we're not going away though, so it should be fine. I'm really looking forward to meeting those of you who can make it!

FruitynNutty · 21/07/2008 19:27

20th September it is
I'll get DP to have DS, no pimms for me. Maybe a weak white wine spritzer though

Definitely up for cake and coffee though!

LobstersLass · 21/07/2008 19:37

Hi kate, thanks for your message. I don't think you're a nosey cow at all! I think your fab and very thoughtful.

The GP said it would be about a month before I would see the consultant. Time I intend to spend drinking wine in the garden and eating my body weight in brie, blue cheese and undercooked steak. Bring it on!

Thanks for the invite to stick around on this thread. It seems like a fun place to be. And with you being a bunch of very attractive women then I'll fit right in!

I'll let you know how I get on tomorrow.
My prediction is that there'll be nothing to see and that the betaHCG will be alarmingly low.

piper84 · 21/07/2008 20:54

LL very sorry to hear about your miscarraige glad your gp is being helpful, and you definetly deserve lots of wine and chocolate and brie.

mibbes · 21/07/2008 22:42
