Hello all, just a quick update.

Scan was as expected. Nothing there. Thankfully it all seems to be coming away by itself so no intervention is required. Hurrah for that!

Have to go back in a fortnight for another scan to make sure all is ok.

They've decided that they don't need to do bloods, so no being stabbed in the arm three times over the next few days for me! Hurrah for that too!

Apparently I should be able to see a Consultant within the next couple of months! So all things considered, it's been a pretty good morning.

Sparkly08 · 22/07/2008 12:11

Hi- wondered if I could join you ladies as have been lurking for a little while and this thread seems so lovely, but feel like new girl at school

Love you mix of ttc chat with normal stuff (v/impressed with wedding dress story !) and as I am a bit of a ttc waster at the moment, trying not to obsess too much. ie: not really trying after 3 m/c's but thinking of starting again soon.

ll So sorry for your loss but lots of names I recognise from MC avengers so you are in good company.

Not sure if I am attractive enough for this tread but as I am too far away to meet up I will pretend I am stunning

MollieMooma · 22/07/2008 12:33

Piper How fantastic about your dress! Bet that woman is spitting feathers now she's missed out on a sale, serves her right for not being on time. Are you always a bargain hunter or was this a lucky one off?
LL Glad you've decided to join us mad lot, welcome Your sounding very positive and strong at the moment, but don't forget if things get to you, feel free to come and moan or ask for a shoulder
Sparkly Bring on the 2WW, we'll be symptom spotting like mad with you! Keeping everything crossed

I've posted on the Emmsy ante-natal thread about my scan, not sure if it's appropriate here

HeyThereGeorgieGirl · 22/07/2008 13:47

LL so sorry that you've had bad news today. My heart goes out to you. if you need to chat about it, then the ladies on the MC Avengers thread are lovely. Or just stay here and we can lend a shoulder to cry on.

TeeHee. Lovely to have you on board. Am now officially not the newbies anymore . Sorry to hear that you've had such a rough ride. Life just seems so unfair sometimes. And what do you mean not attractive enough for this thread? Pish and nonsense!

Sparkly I'm on the 2WW with you hon. God it's agony. Am trying v hard not to go into sympton spotters overdrive.

Piper Fab news about the dress. Can you let us see a pic of it? I love wedding dresses. When are you getting married again?

Ei Please persuade your DH to come on a day trip to London. It'd be great to see you. Quite expensive cup of coffee. But as the L'oreal ads say, 'you're worth it' .

Hello everyone else . xxxxx

mibbes · 22/07/2008 14:17

hello ladies !
Hurray for heartbeat on the scan Mollie must be a big relief to see that wee flickering !
welcome teehee I recognise your name from other threads - I'm sure you're a stunner
Sparkly hurray for ov - I assume you have managed some well-timed BDing ?
Oh and Kate I meant to say yesterday - you are hot stuff mi lady !
Am can't come to the meet - my Dec AN thread are having a London meet too - humph - will have to find some Scottish buddies but they'll never be as beautiful as you lot

MollieMooma · 22/07/2008 14:18

Teehee Welcome to our little thread, I am sure you really are stunning Sorry to hear abour your 3m/c's I found 1 hard enough can't imagine what you've been through. Have you children already? Oh and we're nosey too

mibbes · 22/07/2008 14:20

LL so sorry about scan result - you are very brave looking on the bright side of everything {{hugs}} xx

Sparkly08 · 22/07/2008 14:30

Day 2 of the hols and DP is doing my head in already . I can't wait for him to go back to work. (only 5 and a half weeks left)
We've just been to look at holidays whilst DD is in creche but haven't booked anything yet. Is anyone else going away?

Teehee Welcome to this thread. I'm sure you'll love it here. Fingers crossed that this thread brings you lots of luck.

Mibbes Hoping we got some well timed BDing in. Have managed every other whilst I've had a green light from FF. I'm dreading another 2WW!!

Mollie [slaps wrists] for not sharing your good news with us. I'm still very interested in what's going on with you missy. I've got another massive spot on my chin!!!

FruitynNutty · 22/07/2008 14:45

Sparkly and Georgie So pleased you're finally on the 2WW! SOOOO exciting!

Welcome Teehee to this gorgeous thread!
We've also got a non TTC talk thread going HERE Strictly no TTC talk allowed or you have to write lines which I'm not sure if any of the new girls know about yet
Also THE BFP THREAD

Of course you're all welcome in any of them

OP posts:
teeheelaydee · 22/07/2008 14:55

Mollie No children - boo ! Feel like I'm sitting here screaming I'm ready to be a Mummy for goodness sake and it's just not happening. A feeling that I'm sure is familiar to many here! Grrrr. BTW -nosey is fine, love nosey!

Sparkly You could always try encouraging him to leave the country, that is my answer! DP is leaving tomorrow to go Interailing with his sister (I think he still thinks he a student, even though he is 35 !) He will be away for the whole summer hols, although I am meeting him for the last 2. We have rented an apartment in France, down South but not the posh bit ! I'm going on the train, which in my head will be all old fashioned and romantic but will probably be smelly and boring! I feel I want to dress in 1920's gear if I'm on the train. A la Agatha Christie. We only booked it a couple of weeks ago but now I can get excited.

HeyThereGeorgieGirl · 22/07/2008 15:18

Sparkly Day 2 of the hols and DD2 already doing my head in! Just as well she's at nursery this arvo! DD1 with her grandparents (Ex-h's mum and dad). So only have one to deal with so shouldn't really be complaining.....

TeeHee Your summer hols sound fun. Am with you on the whole 1920's thing. Gone on. I dare you!

Mollie left a message for you on other thread. But huge congrats young lady .

Mibbes did you get napalmed last night? .

QueenyEisGotTheBall · 22/07/2008 17:05

cricri · 22/07/2008 20:23

I'm back online Missed you ladies over the last few days and I've just been catching up with the thread.
LL sorry to hear about your mc You're in good hands here though. I'm pleased you don't need an ERPC and hopefully the appt with the consultant will come through soon.
Teehee Welcome to our cosy thread
Sparkly and HTGG Fingers crossed for you both whilst you're on the 2WW and lots of baby dust for you Mollie Haven't been over to our AN thread yet but sounds like your scan went well which is brilliant news
I'm on for the meet-up on 20th Sept. I don't have my diary to hand at the moment (can't be bothered to go upstairs to get it!) but I'm pretty sure I'm free then.
Scully Hope the acupuncture went OK and apologies for missing not mentioning you in my last post I realised once I'd logged off... Oops.
Everything is fine here after a busy weekend with the christening and then travelling across France yesterday. I'm now at my family's so it's nice and relaxing, although I did go sailing this afternoon in a bid to give the bean some sea legs Didn't have to do much fortunately.
Hi to everybody else and hope you're all OK

QueenyEisGotTheBall · 22/07/2008 21:01

EI I'm here, well in body if not in spirit! Not got much to say at the moment, feeling very rough with MS and as I can't keep anything down my IBS has flared up so I'm in agony as well But not complaining

FruitynNutty · 23/07/2008 12:27

HIya, I'm here! Just been to the farm, the shops to buy a birthday card and the park before picking up mindee from school. Kiddies all eating their tomato soup, I'm hoping they will save me some!
I'm trying to drink lots of water in an effort to curb my appetite but it's not working.

How hot is it today? My god, I'm sweltering.
I really feel for you heavily pregnant ladies Not nice at all.

QueenyEisGotTheBall · 23/07/2008 13:11

hi mollie ad fruity fruity did you get DSs prezzie yet? i spoke to RM yesterday and the woman said it is showing as delivered!! im thinking maybe i mailed it to the wrong address!
is it tomorrow that you have your second scan? or next thursday?
mollie i really feel for you on the MS front! i had awful MS with DD. have you tried drinking ginger ale? i also have IBS and i found that eating bland foods like toast and mashed potatoes helped an awful lot its trial and error in preg as some things that may soothe the MS might make the IBS flare up. i hope you find something that helps soon
i hope everyone else is having fun in the sun
xx ei xx

Emmsy1 · 23/07/2008 14:02

LL welcome to you hun, sorry that you have recently had a m/c
I have had 3 m/c's in total and am 26+ weeks pregnant now after having 2 consec m/c's (also have loads of children)really hope that this encourages the both of you to keep TTC as there is hope after m/c xxx

FruitynNutty · 23/07/2008 14:28

It's still not arrived here Ei Do they have the address you sent it too? Maybe you got it a bit wrong or maybe RM F'd up themselves? Wouldnt be a huge surprise if they did

OP posts:
QueenyEisGotTheBall · 23/07/2008 14:45

i am searching my desk for it fruity but i cant find it what a PITA!!! i am inclined to blame RM but it was probably me being a dope... ahh well there will be someone somewhere who is either puzzled at the new selection of buzz lightyear goodies and 2 birthday cards not addressed to them or a very happy boy who thinks hes got a guardian angel either way il see what i can do about Cs happy birthday prezzies albeit belated one sorry fruity
emmsy hello > hope you are doing ok theres a northern MNers (although everyone is welcome) xmas meetup being arranged if you are interested. i have put my name down and a few other liverpoolies have too il find a link for you if you are
well i have had a phone call about my clinic referral and it is finally getting done!! she did say i didnt sound eligable as i have only had 2 recent MCs but she didnt know about my first one as the idiot GP didnt put all the info in she said you have to have 3 MCs altogether in order to 'qualify' and i said i have had 3 so she said well in that case you should be referred then!! i wonder why the doc didnt refer you?? well anyway she has sent the referral off now so i should hear back from that quite soon
i hope everyone else is doing well today

teeheelaydee · 23/07/2008 15:03

Afternoon all - 2nd day back at work for me today after 3 mths off sick and so far so good. I'm only doing 4 hours for 3 days thou', but have new boss and he seems like a human, unlike the last one ! He also told me that his wife had mmc at 14 wks years ago so at least he has some idea. Fingers crossed.

ei Good Luck with your appointment - i had a dreadful hosp appt back in March so my advice is go prepared. Don't let them fob you off. Be strong amazonion woman who doesn't take any c**p and you will be fine I'm sure. I didn't cos I was a bit of a mess back then and DP wasn't much help either.

emmsy I always welcome stories of successful pg's after m/c, especially 3 - it keeps me positive.

Just been to gym - please remind me when I am being a lazy cow that I feel great when I go !

HeyThereGeorgieGirl · 23/07/2008 15:37

Afternoon lovely ladies. Nothing to report here. Still symptom spotting like mad. Norks are v painful and been feeling rather light headed and slightly sicky... but then that could be any number of things so not getting my hopes up.

Doing some packing before we head off to Turkey on Sat. Most of space taken up with DD's clothes. Least they will look grand whilst DH and I wander around in slightly grubby shorts and smelly T's . Actually, DH can do that. Ha ha.

TeeHee - hope work keeps treating you well. Looks like they are easing you in gently.

Ei - Fingers crossed for appt hon. Hope there's good news from it for you.

Fruity - you've been a busy lady this morning. Hope MS not getting you down. And for god's sake - eat woman. Now is not the time to curb appetitie .

Mollie - sorry to hear that MS has got you. Suffered really badly with both DD's. Found that slightly flat Lucozade worked. Salt and vinegar crisps. Macaroni and cheese. Misco soup (v good for getting all your minerals). Hope I'm not turning your stomache mentioning all these.

CriCri - glad you can join our coffee morning. Will be lovely to meet you.

Emmsy - am hoping that my fortunes will follow yours. ie 2 m/c and then full term pg.

Anyone 'seen' Kate, Yarnie, Mibbes or Sparkly today?

Anyone want a mint choc chip cornetto?!

xx
