Hi everyone, I was hoping to start a nice friendly supportive and sensitive thread. Maybe for those ttc for a while or after losses or just finding things difficult with ttc in general. I love to read others have had bfp's as it gives me hope, but have been finding some threads with alot of positive test pictures posted quite difficult.
Hoping to find others looking for the same as it's lovely to have a place to rant, feel sad, feel happy, get advice, or just obsess without judgement 🙂

I am 36, started ttc 2 years ago, had 2 mmc, and have now been ttc for 14 months since the last one without success. Currently on cd14 on a "not tracking"cycle. x

@CabbageFan could be PCOS if you have any other symptoms? Despite the name you don’t need to have cysts so the ultrasound wouldn’t rule it out alone. It could also just be one of those things that happens occasionally and if you weren’t TTC you wouldn’t have paid it much attention.

@Notsure31 I've used medichecks a few times for various things including hormones but I would say pay extra and get it done by a nurse because I find the finger prick kits impossible! Especially for ones where they’re testing for a lot of stuff like the advanced hormone ones. It is usually easier to book with the private nurses though than the GP surgery in terms of availability.

CabbageFan · 23/04/2025 12:48

@erihskreb When I got pregnant with my oldest in 2020 the gynecologist actually said I have "PCOS-like" ovaries, but didn't elaborate further. When she checked them again in the next ultrasound, she said they're fine and since then I've had another baby and seen her and other doctors, and everything has been fine. Maybe I should bring that up when I can see her next time, maybe she noted it in my chart back then.
I got my bc implant removed a bit over a year ago for compatibility issues and my cycles were almost precisely 30 days until I had a chemical pregnancy last july. Since then my cycles have been all over the place. I had mid-cycle bleedind every time. Sometimes just spotting, sometimes like a light period for 3-4 days. I developed acne on my chin and around the mouth, which I didn't have even as a teen. I was prescribed dydrogesterone for three cycles after I went to the dr. It stopped the mid-cycle bleedind, but did nothing else so far. This was my last cycle on the medication.
I don't know much about PCOS. I wonder if I had some tendency to it, which the successful pregnancies "cured", but the miscarriage somehow triggered it to start again? 🤔

Hey girls, hope everyone is doing okay! I’m back ttc this month but negative as expected. Just checking in with you all! Hope you’re doing okay in your wait for results @Figtree11 I’ve been thinking of you xx

Thanks for thinking of me. I am doing ok thank you. Just trying to tick off the weeks while I wait for these results. Did a pregnancy test today for the first time & still getting a faint line which is annoying.
I’m sorry your test was negative, but I have everything crossed that it won’t be long til you get that positive again.

BGxxx · 24/04/2025 07:02

@Figtree11 how long has it been? My tests always seem to linger for ages too. I see other people’s go negative in a week and feel jealous 🤣

Figtree11 · 24/04/2025 07:12

@BGxxx it was 3 weeks on Monday. My first one took over 5 weeks, and my second one took 2 months because of it being a partial molar! So I’m just hoping it goes negative in the next week or so!

BGxxx · 25/04/2025 12:51

@Figtree11 oh fingers crossed it’s not much longer! All the waiting is so fustrating isn’t it

Figtree11 · 29/04/2025 18:48

@BGxxx thanks, it’s been 4 weeks now and they are a lot fainter. So going to give it another week before I get in touch with the EPU about it.
How are you? I’m trying to get on with life, but find my mind wandering to worrying about the future so have to try pull myself back from thinking about it

BGxxx · 30/04/2025 12:15

Such a long slog isn’t it, how long have you got left to wait for the results?
I’m okay! I’m also trying not to think about ttc, we’re still trying but I just can’t be bothered to feel down about it if you know what I mean! I find it better to pretend it didn’t happen 🤣

Figtree11 · 02/05/2025 07:43

@BGxxx it really is, I did another test this morning and I can still see a very faint line. But hopefully it’s on the way out.
Still another 8 weeks til my results are due 😩
Pretending it never happened sounds a good idea haha. This nice weather we’re having definitely helps my mood

BGxxx · 02/05/2025 18:40

@Figtree11 hopefully not much longer, how does that last tiny bit linger so much🙄 the wait for your results must feel like forever!! I’ve been looking at getting tests done again but I actually don’t know what I need testing 🤣

Notsure31 · 02/05/2025 20:28

Did anyone find ovulation pain after a loss worse than before? I developed suspected endometritis (infection of womb lining not to be confused with endometriosis) after my MVA and was treated with antibiotics but I’m ovulating now (had EWCM the other day and peak LH yesterday) and it has coincided with me developing some pains which come and go but feels a bit like inflammation and pulling pains in either side. I’ve got a hysteroscopy next week as a follow up but I’m worried either the antibiotics didn’t work or there’s some scar tissue thing going on x

I had really bad pain this time, the side where I have no tube so i’m guessing that could be some kind of scarring for me

Figtree11 · 02/05/2025 22:07

@Notsure31 not that I’ve noticed, but I do get some pain around ovulation, but think I’m just hyper aware of everything my body does these days

@BGxxx i know it’s so annoying. I’m putting off ringing the EPU as it’s so faint that I’m sure it can’t be retained products. Think I’ll give it another week before doing anything.
I am struggling with the wait for results- although I wouldn’t be trying anyway with the positive test still!
I was thinking before this pregnancy about getting some private tests done, but like you wasn’t sure what! It all seems so expensive too

I feel like I'm maybe going insane. Does somebody want to look at my bbt charts and tell me if I'm just being delulu, or do I have a reason to believe my early periods weren't actually periods, but heavy implantation bleeding after all? 🫣 Because Fertility Friend is now suggesting that I ovulated cd8 and would be 5dpo now, but that just sounds way off given that my ovulation has been on the cd17-23 side for the last 10 months and my luteal phases have been around 13-16 days. Why would I suddenly have an 8 day luteal phase and then ovulate again only 8 days later?
My temperature was all the way down in 36,0°C on bleeding day two. I've never been that low during my periods. Then it began to rise up fairly quickly. It's certainly looking a lot like my luteal curve instead of a follicular one like it should be at this time. My resting heart rate is up to 74-79. Usually it's around 52-65 throughout the whole cycle. I was going to buy LH strips tomorrow to see if my levels peak around my usual fertile window, but now I'm wondering if I should throw a pregnancy test in the basket as well 😬
The first picture is this this cycle compared to my average curve, top chart is calculated ovulations pinned together and bottom is pinned from cd1. Second image is my last presumably full cycle and the current one together.

I think you should definitely take a test!! It could of been your implantation dip and then it’s rose back up. It sounds promising about your heart rate being up too

BGxxx · 04/05/2025 12:50

@Figtree11 I bet the epu would just say test in a week if it was really light anyway, hopefully it’s nearly gone by now?? I think I’m going to contact a fertility clinic and see if they have any recommendations

Figtree11 · 05/05/2025 21:57

@BGxxx yeah that’s what I thought the EPU would say, as I’m sure they told me to test after 4 weeks, or once bleeding stopped. And I bled for a good week or so after.
I’ve not done another test yet, as can’t bear seeing a line still there 😩
Let me know if you have a look at fertility clinics, I’d be interested to know. Sometimes just doing something helps, makes you feel more in control of the situation

@CabbageFan how you getting on?

CabbageFan · 06/05/2025 05:17

@Figtree11 pregnancy test was BFN and the OPK was super negative as well. My temps are still up, though. They've been for 7 days already. If they don't drop anytime soon, I guess I really might have ovulated cd8. Luckily we were doing the baby dance! But, I don't know what the chances for implantation would be, if the uterine lining didn't have enough time to thicken properly 🫤 My usual fertile window should be beginning in a couple of days, so we'll see what happens.

@CabbageFan how you getting on?

its the worst when you’re hoping for no line to see one there😭 I’ll email them today and let you know what they say!

BGxxx · 06/05/2025 07:26

@CabbageFan that’s so strange! It sounds like you have already ovulated then, the only positive is that you’re already in the tww🤣

CabbageFan · 06/05/2025 07:41

@BGxxx right? Halfway through it! 😆 I'll keep doing the LH-strips and monitoring just in case. More data has never hurt anybody!

Figtree11 · 06/05/2025 15:59

@BGxxx its quite sad isn’t it, praying for a negative! I’ll soon be going back to wishing for a positive.
Ive got an appointment through in 3 weeks time with the consultant im under, not sure if that means my genetic results are back or not.
Yes keep me updated!

@CabbageFan im sorry it was negative, but hopefully won’t be long til it’s positive

FlyHighSky72 · 06/05/2025 16:28

Hi can I join please - first month TTC but I think I’ve discovered that I have a short luteal phase so really worried it won’t happen for me

BGxxx · 06/05/2025 16:57

@Figtree11 that sounds like a good chance your results are back! I can’t imagine they’d do the appointment without them!

@FlyHighSky72 hi! How long is your luteal phase?

FlyHighSky72 · 06/05/2025 17:44

@BGxxxwell I’m not sure because this is my first month doing OPKs - until this point my cycles have been regular at 28-29 days and according to the OPKs I only ovulated on cycle day 18 hence me guessing I have a short luteal phase at 10 days. I’m currently overdosing on vitamin c in the hope of lengthens it (but only from today as I’ve only just read it might be a problem!)
