Hi everyone, I was hoping to start a nice friendly supportive and sensitive thread. Maybe for those ttc for a while or after losses or just finding things difficult with ttc in general. I love to read others have had bfp's as it gives me hope, but have been finding some threads with alot of positive test pictures posted quite difficult.
Hoping to find others looking for the same as it's lovely to have a place to rant, feel sad, feel happy, get advice, or just obsess without judgement 🙂

I am 36, started ttc 2 years ago, had 2 mmc, and have now been ttc for 14 months since the last one without success. Currently on cd14 on a "not tracking"cycle. x

Hi ladies, AF is in full swing so I wasn’t lucky this month. Hope you’re all ok.

I really like it when people who got pregnant keep updating and taking part in the conversation! And not to be all parasocial and weird, but given the history of people on this thread I get kind of worried every time somebody announces pregnancy, but stops posting a few weeks later 😆 It makes me fear something has happened ☹️

I got a proper temp rise on cd 22. Maybe ovulated on cd20 or 21. Probably doesn't even matter, because we missed sexy time on the days just before 😕 And without ewcm I don't think much of the sperm was making it through there to be able to wait for ovulation. So I've given up hope this cycle! Sort of. I'm secretly hoping this is going to be one of those "just stop trying and it will happen!" magic cycles that everybody and their mother always talks about 🤣

Yes I totally agree, I definitely think oh god I hope all is still okay!! I’m crossing my fingers for your miracle cycle 🤣

@Figtree11 i bought an oura ring and that tells me I’m currently 7dpo, I ovulated a few days after I got a negative test so I’m hoping my cycles are back to normal!

@Vanilla90 omg I cannot explain how gorgeous and small my boobs are🤣🤣 I never realised how massive breastfeeding made them, I’ve gone from an E cup to a B at best, it’s great 🤣

Thank you @BGxxx @CabbageFan that’s really kind of you. I know it can be difficult sometimes when you’re in the thick of trying to conceive. But I’ll stick around ☺️ I’ve missed having people to talk to and I’m rooting for you both

@BGxxx now that you’ve stopped breastfeeding hopefully you’ll be able to pin point your cycle & try again soon ☺️ how are you doing physically?

@CabbageFan I’ve my fingers crossed for you that you caught the egg just in time! I’ve seen lots of threads about women worried about ewcm but it not being an issue

@Vanilla90 my next scan is on the 27th when I’ll be 10 weeks. I’ve never had a baby grow to 10 weeks so I’m going to be so apprehensive about that one. I’m on an October due date thread but it’s not that active, and I guess I don’t want to get in too deep with some of those chats in case it doesn’t work out for me. I hope you are doing as well as can be during your wait for results

I was on the October thread and it moved to WhatsApp in 1 day! It wasn’t like that with my little girls thread it stayed on mumsnet for ages!

@Ladyinpink1 thank you! I feel okay, I’m back to normal now so just waiting my period so we can try again

Figtree11 · 24/03/2025 19:51

Sorry I’ve not been on here for a while. @Vanilla90 I had my booking appt last week, but I thought seeing as my 10wk scan was only a week later I’d wait. I have that on Thursday. How are you, have you had your results through now?

@BGxxx yeah the thread I dip in & out of moved to WhatsApp straight away. I’m not really one for big WhatsApp chats. How are you getting on?

@Ladyinpink1 I hope one day you are back here with your good news

Hope everyone else is ok?

Vanilla90 · 27/03/2025 16:21

@Figtree11how was your scan?

Figtree11 · 27/03/2025 16:56

Thanks @Vanilla90 it was bad news. It stopped growing a few days after the last scan. Have come home to consider my options

BGxxx · 27/03/2025 21:16

@Figtree11 so sorry to hear that and that you’re going through this again. What do you think you will do? Xx

Figtree11 · 27/03/2025 21:22

@BGxxx thank you. Devastated to be going through this again. She kind of steered me away from surgical as I’ve had 1 before. So I’ve been deciding between medical again or an mva. But it’s a 12 day wait for mva so I’m thinking medical. It was awful before, but didn’t last too long. I do have to collect what I pass though as it’s going to be genetically tested

Vanilla90 · 27/03/2025 21:25

@Figtree11oh no, I’m so sorry 😞 we know all too well how you are feeling. You must be devastated. We’re all here if you need to talk or vent. Will be thinking of you x

BGxxx · 27/03/2025 21:32

@Figtree11 are you allowed to have medical at home? I had to have it in hospital but it was a few years ago now. Is this your third loss? Xx

Figtree11 · 28/03/2025 03:34

@Vanilla90 thank you, I’m heartbroken it’s happened again. I’m still suffering with nausea so my stupid body has had no clue for 3 weeks. I don’t think I’ll ever be a mum

@BGxxx yeah I can, I did medical at home before. Was told last time that I’d have to do medical in hospital if it was measuring a certain size. Yeah this is my third loss now. It’s coming up to 2 years now since we started TTC

BGxxx · 28/03/2025 08:49

@Figtree11 thats positive you can do it at home. Its just so shit that you’re having to go through this again, so unfair 😭 my friend had 3 mmc and the 4th pregnancy was successful but I know those stories often are not helpful

Figtree11 · 28/03/2025 09:56

@BGxxx yeah im nervous as i know what’s to come but just want it over with now. I collect the medication tomorrow.
Thanks, it does help to hear good news stories. Just feels so out of reach at the moment. Only thing is that at least this time I’m already under the care of recurrent miscarriages, so maybe I’ll get some answers from this genetic testing

Notsure31 · 28/03/2025 10:28

Wondering if I can join? I’ve had 3 recurrent miscarriages and my most recent pregnancy ended in a TFMR at 16 weeks due to a chromosome problem. It was the first time I’d ever carried that far and the first time I’d been on aspirin and progesterone (from positive test). I’ve no living children.

We have been referred to genetics following TFMR but have been told it can take some time unless we get pregnant again in meantime it gets expedited.

I had all the other available testing on nhs for recurrent miscarriage which same back clear, but they did find a 29mm fibroid on a scan during my TFMR pregnancy, so I’m a bit worried about that for next time but consultant didn’t seem concerned when I mentioned this to her, I’m wondering if anyone has experience of fibroids and ttc/pregnancy?

I’m also thinking of trying progesterone from 3DPO rather than positive test next time, as I’d heard this can make the uterus more selective with embryos I don’t know if anyone else has tried this? Because I get pregnant first cycle every time but they have always ended in a loss, one of my miscarriages was also tested and was a different chromosome issue.

I know I’m only 2 weeks post my TFMR but my BBT is still high so I’m going to test my hcg over the weekend to see if it’s coming down. Unless I’ve already ovulated but I highly doubt this!

Hope it goes as well as it can, keep us updated. hopefully there’s some answers so you can at least try something different the next time!

@Notsure31 of course! Sorry to hear you’ve had such a rough time. That’s fustrating it’s a long wait, are you planning to ttc again soon or have a break? Xx

Notsure31 · 31/03/2025 16:47

@BGxxx we are planning to ttc as soon as my first period comes back, it’s only been 2 weeks since TFMR and I’m already frustrated with now knowing what my body is doing. I’m used to being able to track and being like clockwork with my cycle.

I tested my hcg at the weekend and there’s still a faint line, and I’ve started LH testing but they are coming up consistently high I’m wondering if it’s just leftover hcg which is doing that and if it’s a waste of time.

BGxxx · 31/03/2025 18:01

@Notsure31 i would guess it’s the hcg causing the LH strips to be high, the same happened to me xx

Figtree11 · 31/03/2025 20:06

@BGxxx thank you, I did the medical management today & it was less painful than the first time I did it so that’s a relief. Now to hope I get a negative test in 4 weeks, and a 12 week wait for the genetic results

erihskreb · 31/03/2025 22:03

So sorry to hear about your losses @Figtree11and @Notsure31, that’s really tough 💐

BGxxx · 31/03/2025 22:07

@Figtree11 glad to hear it went better than you thought, hope you’re doing as well as you can. Are you ttc between or having a break? Xx

Figtree11 · 31/03/2025 22:10

Thank you @erihskreb

Sorry @Notsure31 i missed your message. I have just had my third loss & it’s being tested to see if any genetic issues. Worried about what the results will be

@BGxxx thank you, I feel relieved it’s done. I was so scared about how painful it would be again. We’re going to have a break until the test results come back, as want to try everything I can to not go through another loss. The wait might be for nothing though depending on what comes back. But probably need a break for my sanity anyway

Vanilla90 · 01/04/2025 08:18

@Figtree11I’m glad it wasn’t painful and it went better than you thought. Hope you are okay.
Taking a break is probably the kindest thing you can do for your yourself right now, it’s mentally and physically draining.
Hope you heal as quickly as possible and fingers crossed for your results x

Figtree11 · 01/04/2025 16:22

@Vanilla90 thank you. I am doing ok at this moment in time, but know it’s very early days. Think I feel a bit better knowing I’m under the care of Tommys & not waiting half a year for a referral.
Think I just need to feel like ‘me’ for a bit and not thinking about anything TTC. Going to book a holiday to look forward to.
How are you? Did you get your test results back?

BGxxx · 01/04/2025 16:33

@Figtree11 yes I definitely get the wanting to wait. The holiday idea sounds perfect, something to look forward too

BGxxx · 01/04/2025 16:35

I’m cycle day 12 atm, I had ewcm yesterday but now nothing, so feel like ovulation is still far off. Was really hoping my cycles would go back to being normal now I’m not breastfeeding
