AF arrived yesterday for me, this is my 6th cycle of trying. Baby number 3 for me, first 2 were conceived super easy…so feeling very stressed that we’re past cycle 6 now and no 2024 baby 😞

Eatsleepbakerepeat · 07/04/2024 20:25

Hope you don't mind me joining?

TTC baby number 2, had 1 miscarriage and this month had a CP, thinking well just start retrying this month rather than waiting

Had no issues getting pregnant with our first so this I'd all a bit of a shock and hitting hard! 🤞 for January

Herewegoagain0 · 08/04/2024 09:58

Hi everyone, can I join too please? TTC baby number 3. Conceived the first two pretty quickly but have now had 2 chemicals end of Jan and end of March since we started trying for this one in January. X

Daniki · 08/04/2024 10:04

Negative test this morn, 13 days past trigger and 12/13dpo. Unless of a miracle, I am out!

Seems a lot of us are in the same boat re trying for another child and finding it nearly impossible?!

PondwoodS · 08/04/2024 15:44

Hey 👋🏼 joining also. Have a 2.5yr old who we conceived first time , been TTC for 2nd for 3 months now which I know is not long, but naturally feels disappointing since first was so easy. Wondering if age is also now playing a part - we have just turned 36 myself , husband 37.
Have just completed the hertility female hormone testing to check it all is ok and am taking proceive woman and my husband the male tablets. Figured can’t do much more than that ! 😆
Here for the support 🙌

Threedogsandababy · 08/04/2024 21:49

Hi hope it’s ok if I join this month?
6 months of trying for number 2 and going crazy with symptom spotting every month!
not sure what is going on with this cycle at all af was due around the 5th April and had a tiny bit of spotting then nothing but 2 bfn and all cramping has stopped as well.
1st child was very welcome but I wouldn’t say planned so this is much harder emotionally than I expected - wishing everyone luck for their new year bundle!

Lovelesslily · 08/04/2024 21:56

Hello, also checking in for this month.

We were trying back in September/October but then got engaged and decided to wait... wedding is in 4 weeks so starting up again for next cycle. Have AF atm so about 2 weeks to go before ovulation.

I came off the pill in August and have regular cycles however they are quite short at approx 25 days so not sure if this will be a problem.

Fingers crossed for everyone for New Year babies!

SavingNotSpending · 08/04/2024 22:28

Hi everyone! Joining in while trying for baby #2. I had a miscarriage in December, surgery, potential molar pregnancy and then retained tissue so wasn’t given the all clear to start trying again until February. I’ve now just had my second period since trying again which was crushingly disappointing as it means no baby this year. Trying to stay positive though and do as much as I can to hopefully make the next try successful 🤞🏼

We’ve been taking vitamins (coq10, folic acid, zita west supplements for both of us) since September last year. I’m going to look at sperm meets egg this time to try and get the timings more accurate - very romantic lol.

Daniki · 09/04/2024 06:55

Test date and negative test so defo no Christmas baby for me 🥺 hope af isn't too delayed from the progesterone

Dogscanlookup · 09/04/2024 13:24

@Daniki im so so sorry to hear this!! I was really hoping for you this month!! How are you feeling about it all?

OP posts:
Daniki · 09/04/2024 13:44

@Dogscanlookup thanks, I'm not going to lie I took it really hard! I let myself get my hopes up, I feel angry at my body for constantly letting me down! 🥴
How are you?! All been ok?

Dogscanlookup · 09/04/2024 16:56

@Daniki it’s the worst when you think it’s the month and everything points to it… it’s just cruel! Will you be doing another trigger shot? Is it a monthly thing? Not sure how it all works!
I’m ok, not a huge amount of symptoms. Having a second blood test Thursday to see if the HCG has gone up as expected so tense on that but we’ll see!

OP posts:
Daniki · 09/04/2024 17:03

@Dogscanlookup have you had any more spotting or has the progesterone stopped it? If so, that's great! Fingers crossed for you!!
Yep will do trigger again, I have a 5 month script for it but if it doesn't work after the 3rd cycle we will go back and see if there's anything else we can do!

IBegYourBiggestPardon · 09/04/2024 19:09

I think, although I'm not sure for certain I am 9DPO although I'm not at all hopeful. I'm sure my last Pregnancy (miscarriage) I had extremely sore boobs about 2 weeks before I tested positive and really bad fatigue. I'm tired but I don't know if that's just in my head. My boobs are slightly painful but probably no different to my pre period boobs. I have had a weird stabby stitch like pain in my left side radiating around to my lower back and the odd crampy feeling in my uterus. Although that could be from trying to see if I could feel my cervix. No idea if I felt it or not. I've had pretty bad nausea the past few days as well but again that is sometimes a pre period symptom for me. The other reason I think I'm out is that unless I stick my finger inside. There's barely any CM there now. That said I don't recall any last time until I got a positive test and then I had loads.

Dogscanlookup · 09/04/2024 20:30

@Daniki no bleeding at all so progesterone is doing it’s job for sure! I’m just worried as it was low before it that’s affected anything. Glad you have more attempts with it! It sounds really promising so don’t give up hope. And I think you’re wise taking that progesterone beforehand too, it’ll take a lot of stress when the BFP does happen!

OP posts:
Daniki · 09/04/2024 20:33

@Dogscanlookup oh that's brilliant! There wouldn't have been much time between implantation and finding out so I'm sure you're grand! Have you continued testing!?
Yea that's it we will just have to be hopeful it will happen! 🤞🏻

mamataylor · 09/04/2024 21:10

Hey ladies, can I please join?

TTC baby #2. Been trying since July last year, had a miscarriage in November at 9 weeks, currently in my 5th TWW since then. Only 2dpo. AF due 22nd April. Due date would be 29th December!

sending lots of baby dust to you all x

Dogscanlookup · 09/04/2024 22:14

@Daniki I did a for a few days and the tests did seem slightly darker but decided to stop and leave it to the nurses! I think I was driving myself crazy. Just gotta get through to Thursday for that next reassurance 🤞🏻
I’ll keep an eye on this thread in hope of good news for you and others!

massive good luck to everyone on here!

MelonSmoothie · 09/04/2024 22:36

Hi all just jumping on too. TTC #2 and it's only been 3 cycles but nothing happening and just have a feeling this will be a longer slog.

I'm 36 with a 5 year old (who asks for a sibling every day basically) and am probably 1.5/2 stone heavier than when I conceived back then so confidence is at an all time low. Trying easy@home ovulation sticks this month to see if that helps.

Sending good luck to you all, it's an emotional rollercoaster isn't it.

24evergreen · 09/04/2024 23:04

Joining as AF arrived this evening :( TTC #2 since July, had one miscarriage in that time. Feeling super down!

Daniki · 10/04/2024 07:23

@Dogscanlookup probably wise, it's a tipping scale of reassurance and anxiety I find!

Welcome ladies @MelonSmoothie @24evergreen x it's not easy ride for sure 🥴

Marie1990x · 10/04/2024 09:12

Morning ladies, please can I join?

Been TTC #2 for about 9 months now. CD 5 today. Last month I had a very abnormally long cycle, hoping it is back to normal this month

ThingsLineUp · 10/04/2024 14:20

Shuffling over from the April thread as I'm officially out with AF showing up today. Hello to familiar faces and newbies alike. Hoping this is the month for us all!

Threedogsandababy · 10/04/2024 14:29

It’s so sad but also reassuring in some way that so many of us seem to have such a hard time ttc number 2!

LK2610 · 10/04/2024 15:20

I’ve been having a few funny cycles recently so I went to the GP today expecting them to tell me to go away until we’d been trying for 1 year but she was actually really great. Perhaps because I’m 35 this year. They’ve agreed to do a full blood test for fertility and for prolactin as I said I was super stressed from
work. Thought I’d share in case anyone else had put off going. I almost paid £600 to have it done privately 😮
