@PondwoodS I’m currently 32, conceived my first when I was 30 (happy accident) he passed away at 3 days old and I conceived baby #2 just before I turned 31 - first try…I’m now on cycle 7 for baby #3 and's also worrying about my age being a factor! xx

Gosh so sorry to hear about your loss. X

maybemumtobe · 16/04/2024 08:37

@mamataylor turns out my sickness was just a tummy bug! Urgh. No symptoms today so pretty sure I’m out this month but let’s see.. do you have symptoms today?

mamataylor · 16/04/2024 09:24

Oh no @maybemumtobe! I hope you feel better soon and your little one doesn’t catch it. Don’t lose hope yet, you’re not out until AF arrives!
Not really any symptoms yet. I promised myself I’d be more relaxed this cycle but as soon as I enter the second week of the TWW I can’t help myself 🫠

Hi all, AF hasn't arrived yet this month but testing negative so i expect I'll also be joining in trying for a new year baby. I actually feel somewhat positive about this next month.

Hey I am on the same boat 16 DPO today. Still feeling so many symptoms like sore boobs nausea, headache vivid dreams but Still getting stark white negatives. not feeling very hopeful now may be better luck next this month.
AF due tomorrow.

Hey ladies I’m hoping to join the thread 🤞🏼

I am TTC for baby #2 and really hoping this is the month!

myself and DH are both 29 and haven’t had the easiest road, we fell pregnant at 18 and completely caught us happily off guard but unfortunately ended in MC at 6 weeks, followed by another MC the next year again at 6 weeks. We decided to leave babies for a while as we were so young and it was getting us down with the MCs.

fast forward to 2022 we started trying for a baby after getting married and having a mortgage for a few years! We fell the second month of trying and I unfortunately had a MMC which I didn’t find out until my 12 week scan (Dec 22) so that led to a D&C procedure. We fortunately fell pregnant straight away again and had a healthy baby boy in October 23 who is now a happy 6 month old!

After all our struggles we are wanting to start trying again as we don’t know what the outcome may be or how long it will take! Looking back I’ve always fallen pregnant 1st or 2nd month so don’t seem to have any problems here but more so in making it past the first few weeks. This will be first month TTC, I ovulated on the 13th (late ovulation for me) and I am on CD 22, AF due 23 April but could be later due to ovulating later x

The nausea is back!! I’d convinced myself that it was a tummy bug as my daughter had an upset stomach (sorry). So I guess it still could be that I have it too but let’s see!

Oh I don’t even try and relax anymore I get fully swept up in symptom spotting/obsessing each month haha

We still have a good few days yet before we can say for certain :-)

SWeal · 16/04/2024 11:53

@mamataylor @Marie1990x @PondwoodS

Thank you all 🤍 He was simply perfect and I miss him every single day. I’m so grateful to have fallen pregnant with his little brother so quickly as he saved me.

I often think that i’m insane for being so upset when my AF arrives each month considering what i’ve been through - but part of me thinks I have seen the fragility of life and I have so much love to give.

I’m doing SMEP this month and actually it’s a relief because so far we’ve been DTD every single day during fertile window so it feels like a bit of a break! 😆 xx

Thanks for sharing your story. It was really inspiring to hear that you decided to hold off having children until your lives were more settled. Lovely to hear that you have a lovely 6m old boy (but really sorry to hear about the losses along the way). Keeping everything crossed for you xx

WonderingAboutBabies · 16/04/2024 15:10

Afternoon ladies! I've been reading through this thread - sending so much love to those who've had some losses along the way ❤

I'm currently TTC our 1st. We've been married nearly 2 years (together 8) and we said we'd let it happen this year. However, we were both quite taken back at how disappointed we were when AF arrived after cycle 1, so we decided to put a bit more effort into it.

It's CD 18 now for me, peaking either tomorrow or Thursday! It's our third cycle now. I have PCOS as well, so I'm expecting to have some trouble along the way but really praying we get to have our little one soon. Anyone else approaching ovulation?

LK2610 · 16/04/2024 15:31

Welcome @WonderingAboutBabies 👋 we’re trying for our 1st and also on cycle 3 of properly trying. I’m due to ovulate in the next 1-3 days so we’re about on the same timeline x

LK2610 · 16/04/2024 15:32

We’re trying a more chilled approach this month with no ovulation sticks or special timing. Just DTD every other day-ish

Firsttimetrier · 16/04/2024 17:43

@WonderingAboutBabies I’ll be hitting my peak in two days, so very similar timing!

I’m also trying to remained chill as this is our first month trying for number 2, but I’d forgotten how long and slow this process is! So much waiting in between each bit!

Threedogsandababy · 16/04/2024 20:22

@LK2610 think we are going to go for the same coz I got myself really down last cycle - issue is I have no idea what it going on because no proper af this month at all- I think a more chilled month and trying to improve my own health will be benificial hopefully! Good luck 🍀

MaybeBaby2024 · 16/04/2024 20:36

Is anyone planning to test this weekend? I should be 9 DPO on Sunday so plan to start testing then. Got a strong BFP with DS1 at 9DPO.

WonderingAboutBabies · 17/04/2024 08:57

@LK2610 @Firsttimetrier Ah we're cycle buddies! I just got a 'high' reading on my sticks this morning so will rope in DH for some baby dancing tonight and tomorrow! 😆

It is soooo slow, the TWW is torture - I'm not looking forwards to it!

LK2610 · 17/04/2024 09:09

Do it @Threedogsandababy it’s made such a difference to my mental health this month. Keeping my fingers crossed for you x

SavingNotSpending · 17/04/2024 09:24

I’m also trying to be more relaxed this month - the past few months I’ve been a bit manic with it all and I feel like it’s taking a toll on my mental health. I’m already struggling as it gets closer to July as that’s when my miscarried baby would have been due, so I’m trying to cut myself some slack. I haven’t touched a drop of alcohol in months, but this weekend I’m going away so will let myself have a few glasses. We’re following SMEP rather than doing it every day like we were before because that was putting too much pressure on us both too.

I’m also booked in for reflexology a few days before ovulation so looking forward to that - hoping it helps me relax a bit!

I'm 9DPO on Friday so planning to test with a FRER then so good to know you got a BFP around then! But will be testing with cheapies from 10dpo until a BFP! (Or AF- hopefully not though!)

Keep me updated please!✨🤞

From my experience with my first, definitely cut yourself some slack and enjoy the weekend! I actually went to a friend’s birthday the weekend before I found out I was pregnant and had a few glasses of wine (was incredibly ill the next day and now looking back it makes sense) but I think being relaxed and taking pressure off myself really helped!

@WonderingAboutBabies I also need to rope DH in for some too. We were too exhausted last night after doing the crazed post-nursery dinner, bath and bed routine with the toddler, so feel a bit pressured to DTD tonight.
Yep, dreading the TWW this week but I’m at a wedding this weekend and got some other nice bits planned in, so hopefully time will pass by quite quickly!

maybemumtobe · 17/04/2024 11:16

@MaybeBaby2024 I tested this morn - approx 10dpo but not 100%. Bfn but I am feeling fairly hopeful as I still have low level nausea and have been having some twitching sensations in my tummy? Never had these before. Keeping positive and hopeful! Are you planning on testing soon?

maybemumtobe · 17/04/2024 12:19

And just like that af has arrived for me. Grrr ah well baby dust to you all xx

So sorry to hear AF has arrived for you 😩 how long are your cycles? I’m due AF on Monday. Tested yesterday and today (10dpo today I think) and bfn on the cheap easy@home ones x

Thanks I’m gutted ngl but what can you do. My cycles are 35-40 days which makes it more frustrating as each ‘month’ is long. I think my plan this month is dtd every other from around cd 15 and forget the opk strips. Can’t believe how lucky I was to fall pregnant first cycle with dd this isn’t fun. Anyway going to wallow for a day and then crack on, I’ll keep everything crossed for you xxx

I feel exactly the same when AF comes every month 😞 we go for every other day too. I’ve never done OPKs in fear I’ll become obsessed.
I fell the second month with my DD and if not pregnant this cycle we’ll be heading into Cycle 6 after our miscarriage in Nov.
I’ll keep you posted. Lots of baby dust for your next cycle ✨ xx
