@Triselly Oh I'm so sorry about the Covid :( I hope it doesn't delay things too much! My husband caught it not long before our initial IVF tests began and I was expecting his sperm to be ruined by it BUT it didn't actually seem affected at all. Hopefully it will be the same for you!

We're ok here! It's my birthday today (also 38!) so we went out for pizza :D

Hi @Triselly, good to hear that you're moving onwards to round 4, and it will be interesting to see how the long protocol impacts egg collection! The Covid part must be frustrating though especially if it delays things for you. When will there be a decision about whether to go ahead or freeze the eggs?

All well here - we are at 20 weeks so had the scan, having a little boy which is amazing 💙 got to go back for another one though, as baby was in an awkward position and wouldn't show off one of the views of the heart that they needed to see. They said it's really common and no need to worry about anything but I won't have that last bit of reassurance until the follow up scan is done!

How are you @Valentina1985? Did you make a new plan with your consultant after you were going to meet them back in March?

Congratulations @RunningOnHope on your lovely news about your little boy! Hope your wife is well and everything is going smoothly for you! I am sure if there are no other problems he will be absolutely fine with his heart, but I appreciate that must be another stressful time until the next scan! Very best wishes to you both xx Yeah my husband will have a biopsy when I have egg collection (4th flipping time 😓) and we will see how his sperm is looking then, probably around the 8th October.

I had my egg collection on Friday, only got 3 eggs (?!) I think the endometriosis surgery might have damaged my right ovary, it’s quite common that is reduces your fertility 😨. We had 2 fertilise and then one was at 8 cells yesterday so had that one put back, now back onto the 2ww again.

I feel a bit more chill about it all this round, I think you get a bit desensitised after all the failures. This round I’ve given up on the acupuncture and gone for all the supplements instead - coq10, omega 3, Vit d, pomegranate extract, an endless selection of mad pills. So let’s see if that possibly makes a difference.

Thank you @TheBirdintheCave! Well I had a very confusing call with the clinic nurse earlier, I called to ask her about our remaining embryo and she said it didn’t make it, which I was expecting as it wasn’t great quality.

An hour later I get a letter from the clinic from someone else saying it has been frozen?! Which would be amazing as we’ve never had anything to freeze before. I am hoping that the nurse misunderstood me or misread something (I was speaking English to her so it’s possible there was something lost in translation as she is Norwegian.)

So very confused but choosing to go with the letter until we can get some clarity there 😵‍💫

Diwali coincides with Halloween this year so we have my brother and SIL round with our nephew and we're having a big meal :)

Baby boys heart is fine, there is a bit of dilation of one kidney, only mild and likely to sort itself out but just keeping an eye on it over the extra growth scans we have booked anyway. He is certainly keeping us busy! My cousin had a baby boy today, and my brother and his wife have just announced a baby boy due 2 months after us. My sisters boy is 15 months now. So there's going to be quite the little gang of them! 💙💙💙 (My poor DD 😂)

Thank you guys 😅 We will write to try and get confirmation but I kind of don’t want an answer, enjoying living in the hope zone for now!

@RunningOnHope I am so glad to hear that! He sounds like a tough and resilient little chap. Wow that is a lot of boys! If it’s anything like my family, the sole girl will be the loudest, in charge of all the games and telling them what to do 😂

Hey guys, just to update you it’s another negative here from my 4th round. I was about 90% sure it was negative after I was still testing negative on hpts at 8dp3dt, and gave up on them for the past few days. Was still clinging to that little bit of hope but just got the blood test results and it’s another bust.

We possibly have one frozen embryo, although that one isn’t great quality, it maybe gives us one more chance before Christmas, if we are very lucky. Which let’s be honest, we are not.

@TheBirdintheCave Thank you ❤️ We found out yesterday that we do seem to have a frozen embryo, which was fantastic news, although it’s not great quality it means we can have another chance before Christmas hopefully.

This round I gave up on the acupuncture and switched to every supplement I had heard about, maybe it did make a bit of a difference as never had any frosties before! I took omega 3, coq10, vit d, 9 various vitamins a day for about 6 months.

@RunningOnHope so lovely to see this thread rebooted! We’re all good this end - baby girl is now a 15 month old toddler who is running everywhere and starting to talk. Where has the time gone?! Hope you are well!

Our little 5bb frostie worked 🥲. We are expecting a little girl at the end of August! I took a test on 23rd December, completely convinced that it had failed again, and was shocked when it came back positive! It made for a truly wonderful Christmas surprise.

She was the 5th embryo I’d had transferred over 4 full rounds, so although it was awful getting there, finally it worked. It convinces me that unless you have a clear reason why transfers keep failing, it really is just a matter of trying again and again and it will work eventually. We only had 2 embryos survive past day 3 out of about 15 embryos over the 4 rounds, so I was really losing hope that we could make it work but it really did just take that one.

Our little boy was born in Feb and is doing great - he’ll be chasing his big sister in no time.

We have three embryos left from my wife’s round, and plan to begin transferring one to me… because of three failures so far my consultant recommended and aqua scan but I just don’t think I can go through it - I find the medical stuff so hard. But also don’t want to waste an embryo… so currently putting off booking next steps!

My little girl is 14 months in a few days! Not walking or talking yet but she’s very close. Just been island hopping in Greece which was a challenge with two kids but fun as well :)

Thanks all. I’m already convinced it’s not worked as got a BFN today on 5dp5dt and have zero symptoms. whereas last transfer I had a chemical pregnancy and felt pregnant having lots of twinges etc.. this time nada. Hate the TWW!!

Yes I think it’s that @lemons44Have you had one? I have a 3cm fibroid that shouldn’t be interfering but would give a closer look to check. I’ve heard bad things though!

@lemons44Sorry to hear about the BFN today. It’s just agonising waiting day by day isn’t it? Fingers crossed it begins to change tomorrow for you xx
