Tagging @Triselly @lemons44 @CR7 @Flowerlover010 @pongom @WholeZebra @TheBirdintheCave in a new thread as the last one stopped accepting new messages.

@lemons44 sorry to hear about the early negative, it does feel like it cushions the blow a bit to take early tests but does make things more stressful 💐. Do you have more frozen embryos?

@RunningOnHope So lovely to hear about your family! What is it like being a 2 child family now? Totally understand not wanting more medical procedures for your remaining embryos, do you think you'll go ahead with them in time?

@TheBirdintheCave and @WholeZebra wonderful to hear your families are doing well! ❤️

@RunningOnHopeyes I had a 3D sis scan a while back. I don’t mean to scare you at all, more to prepare you, but if you have painful periods you might find it a bit sore. The nurse told me it tends to mimic your period pains so for people who have only mild period pains normally, they can’t really feel the scan. For me I have very bad period pains so it was painful. The good thing is though that it only lasts for literal seconds… I think mine was less than 5 seconds of discomfort.

Thanks for your messages guys. After the initial BFN it has now progressed to a BFP. However on my last FET I also got a BFP and then it became a chemical by about 4+5. I am currently 4weeks today (9DP5DT) so just a ball of nerves to be honest. Way too scared to get happy yet. I might feel a bit better if we make it past the 5 week mark. Clinic OTD is Saturday (14DP5DT). Obviously I am obsessing over tests and line progression, plus the fact my symptoms are coming and going. Think I need to try and keep distracted this week and hope for the best!

@lemons44Ohhh so excited for you!! I hope it just carries on getting stronger :)

Thinking of you @lemons44- hugs however it’s gone for you xx

Thank you @Trisellyand @RunningOnHope❤️ we had a BFP today on official test day (14DP5DT) and a blood test showing HCG 1578 🥹 now I just feel incredibly, incredibly scared! When does the anxiety get better?! We have a viability scan for 2 weeks time. I don’t think I am letting myself feel happy yet. Going to continue trying to be distracted I think x

Triselly · 19/07/2025 18:49

@lemons44 that's fantastic news!! 😍 What a good hcg result too! 💐❤️

The anxiety stayed with me all the way through til third trimester, but so far everything has been brilliant and all my worrying was for nothing. There is a lot of support out there for pregnancy after loss and infertility, a lot of women who have been through what we have and have good advice.

I don't think there's any magic words to silence the voice in your head but I know that now you have a positive result there is a higher chance that you will end up with a baby in your arms than any other outcome.

I did have a problem with a low lying placenta that caused a lot of bleeding in the first trimester, and every time I completely freaked out, but we'd go for private scans and everything would be fine. So I would say from my experience that bleeding is much more common than we are led to believe even in healthy pregnancies, should you happen to have any, it doesn't necessarily mean anything is wrong.

Completely understand your reservation, please let us know how you're doing if you can!! ❤️

RunningOnHope · 19/07/2025 22:39

So thrilled for you@lemons44- I know the anxiety is hard - but everything Triselly says is very wise. And @Trisellyif you remember, do let us know when baby girl is here safely ❤️

TheBirdintheCave · 20/07/2025 18:09

@lemons44Congratulations, Lemons!! I’m so happy for you that it’s finally your turn! ❤️

As to anxiety… mine didn’t lessen until the third trimester really. The whole thing was a scary ride! I was under the perinatal mental health team which was helpful.

Take it one day at a time ❤️

RunningOnHope · 14/01/2026 23:35

Remembered this thread today as I’m preparing for FET this month - would be the third child, but still the first for me to carry. My fourth transfer. I’m on levothyroxine now for elevated TSH and hope that makes all the difference, as well as it being DWs embryos which might just be better quality than mine!

How are you @Triselly@lemons44@WholeZebra@TheBirdintheCave @SarahShortyet al?

Good morning! How lovely to see this in my emails this morning. Wishing you all the love and best wishes for the upcoming FET! Please keep us updated! Feels like just yesterday we were all talking through this thread daily.

We’re very good this end. Nora will be two in March (how has that happened?!). She’s a very feisty, chatty little toddler who knows exactly what she wants and isn’t afraid of a tantrum 😅.

Triselly · 15/01/2026 10:42

Thinking of you @RunningOnHope and wishing you every luck in the world! Please let us know how it goes ❤️ I am also on the levothyroxine, hope that it makes a difference!

Thank you so much for tagging me, I keep meaning to update the thread and then totally forgetting for another 6 weeks 😅 but we are all well. Our little girl Elsie arrived on the 7th August and is now a beautiful happy 5 month old. The birth didn’t go exactly to plan, what ever does right, as I got pre-eclampsia int eh third trimester and ended up in hospital when I was 35 weeks pregnant. Then it started turning into eclampsia and they had to do an emergency c section. Just to add a bit more spice to the occasion it also turns out I had something called placenta accretia, where your placenta grows into the wall of your uterus and when they removed it I started hemorrhaging, was very scary, thought I was gonna die, lost half my blood but thanks to the skill of the hospital staff everything was ok in the end, I had to spend the first two days on the ICU and a further week in hospital. Kind of far removed from my natural hippie birth plan!

But just very very happy to have our wonderful little girl with us safely. I feel like I’m still recovering but getting back slowly! Elsie was so tiny as was born a month early, she weighed just over 5 lb and was absolutely adorable, she didn’t fit into any clothes 🥲

We had a wonderful first Christmas together and she’s just woken up from her nap so better get on it! Motherhood is more than I ever could have imagined, she is my absolute whole universe ❤️

How is everyone doing?

TheBirdintheCave · 15/01/2026 19:14

@RunningOnHopeGood luck! :D We’re all good here. Marcella is now twenty months old and sounds very much like @WholeZebra’s little girl 😅 She is FAR naughtier than my son and a lot more dextrous too. No cupboard or zips are safe! 😂

I feel you on that, we’ve got really strange kitchen cabinets that I thought we wouldn’t have to baby proof because there aren’t any handles… The little swine cracked it last week and we’ve now gone full baby proof.

TheBirdintheCave · 15/01/2026 23:16

@WholeZebraHahah M ran off cackling with the cheese grater last week after whipping it from the cupboard 😂 I hate locking the cabinets (we have the magnetic locks) as I always forget that they’re locked and get annoyed that I have to go and get the magnet 🤦🏻‍♀️

We have the exact same ones! Thankfully I seem to be getting on quite well with them 😂

RunningOnHope · 17/01/2026 22:26

So good to hear about Elsie , but what a rough ride you had! I have no doubt she’s worth every second though.

Our little boy is now nearly 1, and as much of a monkey as yours sound to be @WholeZebraand @TheBirdintheCave. There is nothing he can’t climb, open, or trap himself inside somehow. Our eldest who is now 4, had her moments but you could basically trust her to be sensible from very young. This one is going to be the cause of my going grey 😅

First scan for this cycle is on Monday and then I’ll get going from there. I’ll update you in a few weeks I guess..!
