Girls, has any of you experienced a discharge during the TWW that looks like water almost? Very transparent and liquid? I am 5dpt2d.

Valentina1985 · 01/11/2023 21:59

@CR7
, where are you in the journey? Anyone else in the TWW?

TheBirdintheCave · 01/11/2023 22:24

@Valentina1985 I think you're the only one at the moment!

CR7 · 01/11/2023 22:35

@Valentina1985 30 weeks today. Can't quite believe it x

Valentina1985 · 01/11/2023 23:10

@TheBirdintheCave , got it! I wish I were anxious but so little hope... I am happy for you all then! congrats @CR7 !

RunningOnHope · 02/11/2023 13:19

@Valentina1985 I think all kinds of discharge in the TWW are normal!

Had my 20 weeks scan today and baby was found to have dilated kidneys. The sonographer was great and stated that in England they wouldn’t be counted as dilated, but here in Wales they like them smaller for some reason. My mind is in overdrive and I can’t stop worrying.

SarahShorty · 02/11/2023 17:17

@WholeZebra oh sweetheart xx I know I'd be worried if I was told that. That does seem odd, though. Why the different kidney size requirements? Very strange.

OP posts:
Valentina1985 · 02/11/2023 18:33

@WholeZebra , never heard of it. What could be the reason?

lemons44 · 02/11/2023 18:43

Hi all I haven't posted on here for ages, since my first round failed. Since then I had another failed round. I was keeping tabs on this thread and rooting for you @Triselly as our situations were so similar (day 3 transfers, surgically retrieved sperm). I'm so sorry this round didn't work for you. I was crushed after our second round failed. We transferred 2 day 3 embryos and none of our others made it to day 5. Then got a BFN. The clinic is starting to wonder if we can actually get to day 5 at all because on both rounds none of them have. Our next step is we are moving clinics to CRGH and doing a synchronised egg collection and sperm retrieval to try with fresh sperm. Sending big hugs 💗

@SarahShorty sending you such a big congrats. I am so chuffed for you xx

Valentina1985 · 02/11/2023 18:58

Hi @lemons44 , is CRGH good? I had 2 rounds at Chelsea & Westminster hospital but they make me feel so lonely on everything that I have scheduled an initial appointment with CRGH on Monday....
I was hoping to get a spot at ARGC but it has been 3 days I have been trying to schedule an initial appointment with them! They seem to have amazing fantastic success rates and a 3 week waiting list...

SarahShorty · 02/11/2023 19:17

@lemons44 thank you xx I'm so sorry about your situation. I know it's horrible. Hopefully the new clinic and strategy work out for you. I have everything crossed for you xx

CR7 · 02/11/2023 19:29

@lemons44 great to hear from you but sad that the journey is still ongoing for you. Glad they are changing up the protocol for you xx

What is happening next? Is there a plan in place x

WholeZebra · 02/11/2023 20:01

@SarahShorty @Valentina1985 couldn’t say the cause for sure - it could be a blockage in the tubes from the bladder to the kidneys - or could be pushing the urine back up. Or could be a number of health conditions including Down’s syndrome - which they’re pretty sure it’s not.

@CR7 I have a repeat scan booked in for 32 weeks to see if it’s self resolved, which it could if it’s a blockage. If it’s not then potentially fetal surgery, or surgery postnatal… or long term antibiotics. Who knows… it all feels very up in the air - which I think isn’t helping at all.

lemons44 · 02/11/2023 20:06

@Valentina1985 I've only had our initial consult so far but I am very happy with our consultant. We picked Mr Wael Saab as he is more familiar with male factor. Our urologist said they are really good and I've heard lots of good things so fingers crossed for both of us.
I really debated ARGC for ages... however I think their approach was a bit too intense for me (apparently it's literally like IVF bootcamp) and as our issue is male factor I'm not sure their methods are as relevant for us.
Did you pick your CRGH consultant? I hope it goes well on Monday.

Thanks @CR7 and @SarahShorty xx

@WholeZebra they could be totally happy in a few weeks. Everything can change so quickly
