Tagging @Triselly @lemons44 @CR7 @Flowerlover010 @pongom @WholeZebra @TheBirdintheCave in a new thread as the last one stopped accepting new messages.

TheBirdintheCave · 21/02/2024 10:21

@WholeZebra Aww nuts. I'm sorry she's breech. 36 weeks though! I can't believe it. I'm assuming you've tried all the 'spinning babies' website stuff?

WholeZebra · 21/02/2024 10:25

@TheBirdintheCave time has flown! I’ve been following spinning babies religiously - spending more time on my head at the moment!

TheBirdintheCave · 21/02/2024 10:30

@WholeZebra Seems she's being a stubborn one! Very frustrating but at least you've got a bit of time to get your head around the idea of a c-section :)

Triselly · 21/02/2024 17:02

@WholeZebra hello, hope that you’re doing alright - how are you feeling about a possible caesarian? ❤️

@TheBirdintheCave How are you doing? Is everything going well with you so far? Xxx

Thank you guys, I’ll let you know how it goes over here with this try ❤️

WholeZebra · 21/02/2024 17:11

@Triselly it’s the second time during the pregnancy that a C-section has been mentioned for different reasons - the first time I was completely heartbroken at the idea of missing out on labour and the experience. This time - I know it’s safety reasons and so I’m a little more relaxed about it. I’m still hopeful she’ll turn so that I can have the birth I want, but what will be will be!

TheBirdintheCave · 21/02/2024 17:35

@Triselly I'm ok :) We had our 28 week scan today and everything looks good so far! Baby looks to be following the same line as their brother so will be a tiny dot when born.

RunningOnHope · 24/02/2024 21:01

Good to hear from you @TheBirdintheCave and @WholeZebra, glad everything is progressing for you. Not long now @WholeZebra!!

How are you finding the TWW @Triselly? Am I right that your clinic does blood tests on OTD? When is it happening?

Triselly · 25/02/2024 09:15

@WholeZebra That’s understandable, hopefully your little one turns around soon xx

@TheBirdintheCave Excellent news! Is your boy excited about being a big brother?

@RunningOnHope ah, wildly swinging between peaks of despair and hope so far 😅 I’m taking it really easy this time as literally everything makes me worry, car exhaust fumes, bumpy bus rides, whether I am too hot or cold… but today we’re at 6dp3dt. I don’t feel anything much so definitely more in a despair downswing than a hope upswing today. But I know it’s very early so trying to keep my head. Yes that’s right my clinic does blood tests, mine is on Friday 😬 but I’ll do a poas test when I wake up just to prepare myself. How are you doing? Have you heard back about your wife’s results yet? ❤️

TheBirdintheCave · 25/02/2024 12:23

@Triselly He says he's excited but I don't know how he will cope with the realities of a newborn in the house 😅

I'm so hoping for your positive on Friday 🙏🏻

RunningOnHope · 26/02/2024 15:01

Friday is not long away at all now @Triselly, hang in there as the days go by! You are such a hero for the way you go through this, and I hope you get the result you deserve this time.

My wife's results are in - AMH of 28 and AFC was 25 as we knew, so all looking positive. They talked about how they'll put her on a reasonably low dose to avoid OHSS and that they won't be aiming for huge numbers of eggs, but I'm secretly hoping for a much better batch of embryos by the end than we had with me. She's got more than double my numbers on both counts which has got to be a positive start.

Triselly · 27/02/2024 08:04

Thank you @RunningOnHope , yeah it’s not been my most fun year but it’s not over til it’s over 😅.

That’s great news about your wife! Sounds very positive. Forgive me if this sounds really intrusive, but would you ever consider possibly transferring one of her eggs into yourself? Xx

@TheBirdintheCave aww I bet he’ll cope really well - aside from disturbed nights, all the kids with newborns in the house that I know really get into their new roles!

RunningOnHope · 01/03/2024 07:30

With you in spirit today @Triselly - let us know how you get on.

TheBirdintheCave · 01/03/2024 08:13

@Triselly 🙏

Triselly · 01/03/2024 09:48

Hey guys, thank you very much for the good wishes ❤️

Yet more bad news, got a negative on a frer test this morning and AF just turned up, so definitely out this round too. I really thought it would be positive too as I had some odd symptoms but I guess it was all the progesterone/in my head. We now officially have repeat implantation failure, after 3 full failed rounds and 1 cancelled round. I don’t understand why it keeps failing, there really isn’t any good reason why we have absolutely nothing to show for 3 rounds, no embryos in the freezer.

Next step for us is getting on the waiting list for state funded rounds, which we should be able to get within the next few months. Looking forward to changing clinics and speaking to some new drs at least. It really does get easier to manage with every failure I feel.

Hope you are ok and have a good weekend xxx

TheBirdintheCave · 01/03/2024 09:52

@Triselly Ah nuts :( I'm sorry, Triselly. Do you have something fun lined up for this weekend?

Which clinic will you be changed to? I hope they give you better luck than the current clinic.

Triselly · 01/03/2024 10:07

Aw thank you @TheBirdintheCave , the weather here is absolutely gross but I’ll see if I can get to the sauna and have a couple glasses of wine at least now. I’m in Norway so we’ll be switching from our private clinic (and will still be paying off the loans from that clinic for a while yet) to a state university hospital which apparently offers ivf. Not complaining about free rounds though!

Hope you have something nice and chill planned for you weekend xxx

TheBirdintheCave · 01/03/2024 10:28

@Triselly Yes free rounds is brilliant! Norway is such a beautiful country. I've been to Bergen and Tromso in January before and had a brilliant time.

We've got my brother, SIL and nephew coming round for dinner tomorrow so that should be nice and then maybe some gardening on Sunday if the weather is nice*

Oh and my son starts ballet tomorrow morning! :D

*read 'not raining', lol.

CR7 · 01/03/2024 16:18

Lots of love to you @Triselly xxx

RunningOnHope · 01/03/2024 17:28

Ah @Triselly I'm so sorry. Was so hoping for good news for you today.

Sending a lot of love.

Triselly · 02/03/2024 16:51

Thank you guys for the nice messages. We’ve got a few months now to wait for round 4 so gonna instigate some diet and lifestyle changes for my husband in the hope that maybe we’ll have better luck with a new pesa/tesa procedure for him next time.

Hope that your boy enjoyed ballet @TheBirdintheCave - I bet that was adorable!

Hope that you are both well @CR7 and @RunningOnHope ❤️

TheBirdintheCave · 02/03/2024 21:24

@Triselly He did! Was a bit shy but was joining in by the end. I sobbed through the whole thing like a sap 😂 Unfortunately he's now got a fever poor lad 😭

Valentina1985 · 03/03/2024 08:27

i am so sorry @Triselly … these rounds are exhausting, I know. Have you thought about the immunity thing? I have not tested for it but the people from ARGC say it is the main reason for failed implantation within the younger women population - especially those coming from other clinics that have tried few rounds already…
I know my problem is egg quality so thought not worth the test…. But … we never know

Triselly · 03/03/2024 10:23

Thank you @Valentina1985 - I will definitely look into that! I do have hypothyroidism which is an auto immune issue so that certainly sounds like it might be worth investigating. Not sure I’d be included in the younger women category at 37 though 😅!

How are you doing at the moment? Xxx

Valentina1985 · 03/03/2024 10:39

Yes, @Triselly . I think it is worth investigating… I am 38, so officially “promoted” to the old mum category. I think you have a year within the young moms!! Heheh
I am a little tired, really. Clinic scheduled my follow up consultation almost a month after the negative pregnancy test… I thought about stop trying it but might give it another go, I am afraid… the more I think, the more I believe my eggs are bad now and I can’t produce a healthy baby anymore…

WholeZebra · 02/04/2024 01:34

Hi all - just a quick message. Baby Nora was born 27/03/24 at 20:57 weighing 8lb 4oz after a gruelling 3 days of Labour. We are absolutely obsessed with her and I don’t understand how I got so lucky. Hope you’re all well!
