Hey there,
Does anyone want to be ttc friends and update each other on our journeys, tips and what not on this thread with each other. As I'd love someone to talk about with it who can relate too.

Aunt Flo arrived overnight as expected 😔 the journey continues!

Rose38 · 01/10/2023 10:16

For both my previous pregnancies I realised I was pregnant when I had the metallic taste in my mouth.

This time I am testing constantly as I have no idea what day I am on. I did an ovulation test yesterday and it was negative.

Roseberry22 · 01/10/2023 12:29

@CatmumTTC so sorry to hear AF arrived overnight as expected it’s so difficult isn't it. Enjoy the next week before the chaos of starting again 😂 sending you all the baby dust for next cycle.

@Rose38 fingers crossed the ovulation strips will pick up an ovulation soon!

Grungegoo · 02/10/2023 10:59

Hey, I wrote at the beginning of the thread and then work went chaotic and practically had no time to do anything.
I have been actively ttc #1 for two cycles with OPK kits and inositol. Last cycle I was constantly symptom spotting and drove myself mad. For the first time in my life I also had awful thrush, I think due to the stress. But the excitement was wonderful and the Downfall was awful.

Sooooo, this cycle I decided to take it easy. Have tried not to obsess. I'm currently 10DPO and today had a BFN. Not too upset as I have decided to take it easy. However, now at work I have suddenly started having really bad breast shooting pains and soreness, which I never have with pms. So I'm back at square one symptom spotting when I though I was out.

Looking to maybe get my mind at ease and all, but wanted to jump back in.

How are you all going this cycle?

Roseberry22 · 02/10/2023 11:04

AF arrived this morning so very deflated here.

I’m really going to try and not symptom spot this cycle and just wait and see but know I’ll get to 6dpo and get itchy fingers!

@Grungegoo 10 dpo is still early and there’s time that you could actually implant yet! Sorry I’m not sure what are positive implantation signs but maybe try a test again in a couple of days?

Grungegoo · 02/10/2023 11:09

@Roseberry22 I completely understand. I was so upset when I got it last cycle and hey, if I haven't conceived this cycle (which I doubt and think I am just getting myself into another mental rollercoaster), I should be joining you in three days.
Last month what got me through was thinking that I had two more weeks to prepare my body and myself, to spend time cooking healthy and delicious meals, working out and just appreciating what I do have and not wishing I have what I don't have.
I know it wound flower power and all that but it really did get me through. Using the opportunity to work on my mind and body for the next cycle.

Rose38 · 02/10/2023 11:14

Grungegoo sounds good so 🤞 for you. Let us know what happens.

I now have covid 🤦‍♀️ and the news was right this new variant is really bad. So currently hitting the pause button on ttc until I feel better. Ovulation test still coming up negative anyway.

Grungegoo · 02/10/2023 11:21

@Rose38 covid is awful so best of luck and lots of warm drinks!
I live abroad and just had covid last week for like the fifth time. I was on holiday at the beach and had a veeeery light cold. Got home and partner has man covid, which is 1000 times worse according to them. Death like symptoms for 12 hours and then good as new. Tested and turned out we had both had it during our holidays.
Jokes aside, it's a hassle and you feel awful so best of the best for you!

Roseberry22 · 02/10/2023 11:38

@Grungegoo fingers crossed you won’t be! I think that’s a really good way to look at things, I’m going to focus on more healthy eating this month and time with family and prepare myself for 2 weeks time.

@Rose38 hope you’re feeling better soon!

starryx · 02/10/2023 12:44

I'm still hopefully here 🙏 as I come off the pill after my 1 week on like 4 weeks ago then had my bleed 13th August and nothing since.

If I haven't come on by next Friday I will take a test then 👍 fingers crossed.

@Grungegoo I've not come across inositol before. It's it worth getting?

Grungegoo · 02/10/2023 14:34

@CatmumTTC well frankly? I don't know.
It was recommended by a friend who has extremely bad pcos and claims it has solved all of her problems.

I don't have pcos (though in some scans they claim to have seen something but doctors have never been fully clear). I do, however, have really bad periods. By bad I mean awful. 7-10 days, really heavy clotting and bleeding and diarrhea. The worst is definitively the pain, if I don't take painkillers immediately I'm out for 48 hours. Awful

It was all fixed by the pill which I have been on for 20 years. I discussed with by friend how I was not looking forward to coming off it and going back to my usual and she recommended these pills. Obgyn said it couldn't hurt and is sometime proven to help.
The pills are fully natural and I get them off Amazon.

For me? It's tru my periods have changed and are lighter but don't know if it's the inositol or just 20 years on in my life.
I have read about other taking it on Mumsnet and , according to the ever knowledgeable tiktok, It's magic.

I, personally, am not convinced.

Need some help...ok so yesterday I did an ovulation test and it had the flashing smiley face & this was around morning. On Fri & Sat the test was just showing a circle. This is on the Clearblue test. So we dtd yesterday (even though we both feel so unwell with covid).
This morning I wake up & I can see I've been bleeding. Go to use the bathroom & just when I'm about to flush see a big blood clot in the toilet.

I'm guessing I'm on my periods now but isn't that weird since I only just had a smiley face on the Clearblue test yesterday? And is it weird that I had that blood clot?

This is going to sound strange and maybe TMI. I have a very sensitive cervix which means that if I dtd and I'm feeling off (infection, virus o anything stupid) I bleed. Sometimes more heavily sometimes less. No clotting however.
I hope you are feeling a little bit better.

So I did a Clearblue pregnancy test just to check...can you see a very very faint second line? I showed my daughter (she's 7) and she said she can see it.

You bet I can!! Fingers crossed!!

Roseberry22 · 03/10/2023 15:40

On the clear blue tests the circle is not fertile or always shows the first day of testing to get a level. The flashing smileys mean you’re at your fertile window, once you get a static none flashy smile this means ovulation is imminent.

have you had any more blood since to make you think it is AF?

I do see a very faint line, did this come up in the test window? Maybe try another brand as well!

Rose38 · 03/10/2023 15:51

I had 2 days of just circles. Then I didn't test for one day. Yesterday I had the flashing smiley face. Tested again earlier just to check & it still shows flashing smiley face.

Clearblue test shows the faint second line. I tried a digital one but it shows not pregnant..I have one more normal Clearblue test which I will try tomorrow morning.

Still bleeding now but it's not very heavy but still a normal period colour. I have heard of people still bleeding during pregnancy though so it's possible that might be what this is 🤔 I'll continue doing pregnancy tests next few days and see what happens.

I swear I can see faint.. I'd leave it a good 3 days and test again for it to be stronger

Thought I'd test again to check...same as yesterday I can see a very faint line. I have ordered some cheap pregnancy tests and a couple of Clearblue ones too.
I have a bad feeling that maybe I was pregnant but it didn't stick. Guess I just need to keep testing and see.

Might make myself an appointment (after my covid is gone) with the doctors too just to see what they advise.

So, remember how I said I wasn't going to obsess? Fat chance!
I actually started a thread last night I was so nervous.
Yesterday morning I had a faint shadow. Didn't even show up on camera. I had the thought running through my head all day and in the evening I tested again: vvvvvfl.

This morning I tested again and again the vvvvfl but neither stronger nor lighter. Don't know what to think. It appears at around 4 minutes.

Boobs still being stupid and dull back ache but nothing else.

My wonderful partner, moving the test around to see if he could see the line better left an indent on the test so useless to put it up.

Let's se what happens.

Maybe just have some blood work once covid is gone? I still see a from this morning though... fingers crossed.

Think I’m out this month again. Symptoms of cramping which I usually get before AF. 11DPO and we were using the clear blue OPK.
It’s our first time trying and we are 7 months TTC. So disheartening!!!!
I just made an appointment with my GP to run some bloods on Friday. Anyone have any tips on what to ask?

Rose38 · 04/10/2023 13:11

Have you tried Conceive Plus gel? The helped us last time we conceived. I have been using it this time but I think it's taking a bit more time as I wasn't sure what day I'm on etc.
There's other brands of gel..Clearblue do one as well which I used the other day and that seemed ok as well.

Also before conceiving previously I used to start taking Pregnacare conception which I think helped.

Grungegoo · 04/10/2023 17:10

Just took a digital and it's positive!! Don't want to get too excited but it was a shock...
