Hey there,
Does anyone want to be ttc friends and update each other on our journeys, tips and what not on this thread with each other. As I'd love someone to talk about with it who can relate too.

I've had a bad headache and had nausea since yesterday 😔 as well as the usual cramps...really hope I get a positive test soon...how's everyone feeling?

Roseberry22 · 24/09/2023 14:01

@Rose38 im 4dpo and know it’ll be too early for any symptoms but I don’t really feel any different to normal so I don’t think it’s going to be my month :(

hope your symptoms lead to a BFP! How many dpo are you?

I have no idea since I came off the mini pill 4 weeks ago & still no period

ceruleansky · 24/09/2023 15:37

@Rose38 are you feeling any better now?

AF is due on 29th. I've been having cramps and dizziness every day. Feels like period cramps and I was almost 100% sure AF would show up today but not yet. I'm just hoping it doesn't. 😅

I have no idea how to track at the moment, I went on the pill for a week because I just got annoyed at the 2nd proper period I had. (Silly of me). But I bled after I came off which is only a hormonal bleed I guess. Now I'm sat here hoping I conceived. Because they say 24-48 hours after that ovulation can happen. I just keep dtd and hoping. I've started improving my diet now so we will see how this goes.

I have good feeling, people who aren't aware I'm even trying to conceive have mentioned to me recently how they hope I have a baby. Even my step daughter who isn't aware said for me to take a pregnancy test and she wishes I was so she could have a little brother or sister.

I did a cheap test this morning but it came up negative. Honestly my nausea is getting worse...from the minute I woke I kept feeling like I'm going to be sick...gets worse after I eat something.

Could be your hormones then trying to balance... you might see a period very soon. Which hopefully means for the better as then you will be able to properly track your ovulation and have your body back to normal.

@Rose38 I hope either your period comes or you get your bfp soon so you just know! I have noticed ever since we’ve been trying I feel sick as estrogen rises especially in the days leading to my period which has cruelly led me to think I was pregnant! Fingers crossed for you

Rose38 · 25/09/2023 09:35

To be honest if my periods came I wouldn't mind so much. It's the not knowing that bothers me.

I know it sounds weird but I actually would love to have a baby next year in the summer holidays...we moved to a new town last year and have no help here..no family. I have 2 kids (7 and 3) so I worry about if I have a baby the initial part having a little help. I mean last time I went into labour during the night so we dropped my daughter off to my parents and went to the hospital. My parents now live an hour away from us.
Is anyone else in a similar situation?
My husband says we can leave the kids at his friend's house if we need to. He has a friend who lives about 15 minutes from us. They are a nice family but they have 2 kids of their own so I'm not too comfortable with that scenario as it would be hard for them.

Roseberry22 · 26/09/2023 09:03

How is everyone this morning?

@Rose38 unfortunately we’re not in a similar situation as we live really close to DH family, I do wish it was my mum who lived close though as she is an hour away as well. My bother has 2 children and they live away from any family, they have friends who help them and I would encourage using them as support if you need them! Friends can be just like a family member and I’m sure would be willing to help. How are you feeling today?

Rose38 · 26/09/2023 09:06

I'm still feeling sick all the time. Last night I had quite bad cramping for a while. I did a digital ClearBlue test but it came back negative. I think I should start tracking my ovulation? It might help me get my positive quicker since I'm currently doing this blindly with nothing to go on.
How are you?

@Rose38 I've found tracking ovulation ok I test in a morning and have had static smiles on the clear blue OPK both months of using. I try them to not worry about it again the rest of the day and try and DTD every 3 days from around day 10. Once I get a positive OPK we then ramp up the DTD, we were both getting worked up trying more frequent in the run up so tried a more relaxed approach this month.

I’ve woken up with quite bad pinching cramping in my right hand side but this easily could be the start of PMS symptoms as well! I find the TWW quite consuming I wish there was a way to just know.

I’ve got fingers crossed for you that all this nausea is due to rising estrogen and your period will arrive imminently and then you can get tracking! I think it might be quite difficult to start now as you don’t know where you are?

Rose38 · 26/09/2023 09:17

Fingers crossed you get your positive soon.
Yeah I really have no idea where I'm at..5 weeks off the mini pill & no sign of my periods yet. I think I'll just track ovulation for a bit to get my bearings. And hopefully the periods return soon. Not sure how much more of this I can take..feel so unwell all the time & still no BFP to show for it..

Roseberry22 · 28/09/2023 09:38

How’s everyone getting on? I’m 8/9 dpo and no real symptoms still.

Trying not to feel too downhearted but do feel low today, and probably just a sign AF is on her way in a couple of days as I usually have a luteal phase of 12 days.

Rose38 · 28/09/2023 11:29

I started using ovulation tests. Last two days there was a faint line meaning it wasn't a good time to try and get pregnant.
I did one today & there was only 1 line so I'm a bit confused. The instructions say that the best time to DTD is when both lines are equally dark. It's the Asda ovulation tests I bought.

I ordered some Clearblue ones from Ebay which should be arriving next couple of days. Everyone seems to say those are more easier to use and understand.

Still feeling rough. And I keep feeling like something is crawling on my upper lip or arms throughout the day. I read online that tingly feeling may be due to increased hormones. Still no period but the cramping increases and decreases throughout the day as do the headaches. Feeling so sleepy throughout the day too.

Roseberry22 · 28/09/2023 11:56

I always struggled reading the sort of manual ovulation sticks but you can scan them on an app and it tells you. Both lines should be at least he same colour if not the bottom line darker than the control line from memory.

i find the digital ones much easier they’re just expensive to use often!

have you tried a pregnancy test recently to make sure you’re not already pregnant? I know you haven’t had a period since coming off the mini pill but you may still have ovulated recently!

I did a digital pregnancy test the other day. I did a cheap one two days ago..still negative. I think I need to wait for next week before I can feel like it's accurate.
I feel like I must have ovulated within the first 2 weeks of coming off the pill as during that time I had discharge on and off each day.

This is all costing me so much 🙈 Luckily I managed to buy 17 ovulations test sticks, actual testing machine & 2 clearblue pregnancy tests yesterday for only £16.50 on ebay...bargain..I'm hoping I won't need more than that.

How often is everyone using the ovulation tests? I thought it was supposed to be once a day but I have seen on some other threads some people are checking it twice a day?

Yeah maybe if you retest in a few days you’ll know you’re definitely not pregnant and can start to try and catch ovulation!

it is so expensive you’ve found a good deal there. I only test once a day with FMU on the digital ones once I get a flashing smiley we start to DTD then when we get a static we tried a few days in a row this time round.

You’d need to win the lottery to test long term twice a day with the digitals! If you bulk buy the cheapies then test twice a day you can scan them on an app to test, I think it’s a pre mom app I’ve seen on another post. I used to scan them on my natural cycles app and it would read if it was positive or negative 😊

CatmumTTC · 29/09/2023 07:58

I'm on day 36 of what's usually a 30-33 day cycle. I've been ridiculously tired this past couple of weeks and was convinced I was getting my period on Monday but it never came. Get occasional cramps, occasional hot flushes and occasional insomnia alongside with vivid pregnancy dreams. All the tests have come up negative. Going to try and wait until tomorrow to take another one as that's when Flo suggests is the best time to take a reliable test. All the tests have been from the same packet so perhaps I need to get a different brand.

Fingers crossed to you all!

Rose38 · 29/09/2023 09:18

Good luck..sounds promising! Let us know what happens.

CatmumTTC · 30/09/2023 10:33

Still no news CD 36 😔 no AF and no positive test. Boobs still sore, need to pee lots but that's not that unusual for me. Worried I'm symptom spotting. I've only used cheapies so maybe time to get a digital test. Flo app says to wait a few more days and try again but don't think I can wait that long to test again. Hate all this waiting and uncertainty. I don't like to admit it but I think I'd be happy to get my period right now just so I know one way or the other.

CatmumTTC · 30/09/2023 10:34

Just realised today is CD 37. Arghh

Roseberry22 · 30/09/2023 18:50

@CatmumTTC how long are your cycles usually? The waiting is just the hardest isn’t it! It is probably best to wait at least another day or two as any hcg levels will take that long to increase if you were pregnant. If only there was a way to just know straight away 😂

CatmumTTC · 30/09/2023 23:37

@Roseberry22 usually between 30 and 33 days according to Flo app. Had quite painful cramps this evening so maybe aunt Flo is coming after all. Usually starts in the night so we shall see. I've just spent the whole evening at a party holding and cuddling my friend's five month old baby which was lovely, so I really hope this is it! 🤞
