Hey there,
Does anyone want to be ttc friends and update each other on our journeys, tips and what not on this thread with each other. As I'd love someone to talk about with it who can relate too.

It doesn't help when you constantly have dreams every night about bringing back a baby and so on. I've had them all, the pregnancy dream, the birth dream and just one about changing nappies lol. But it kills me more waking up from a false reality. I really got my hopes that this is the month. Here's hoping.

@Grungegoo Yes I think we will too, I’m trying to be a lot more positive this cycle about it all.

I'm sure once we do conceive we’ll just obsess over the baby growing ha!

Roseberry22 · 21/09/2023 09:39

@starryx its really hard isn’t it. Sending all the baby dust to us all

starryx · 21/09/2023 10:29

Exactly, I'm sure everyone will soon get their bfp.

Im excited for when I can think about my baby growing. I really want to do one of them pregnancy diaries that you pass to your child. Seems such a cute concept.

I felt dizzy/headache/small amount of nausea the past couple of days.
I'm hoping this is a good sign.

Of course welcome and that sounds wise 😀 better to test a bit later for a more accurate result.

Yup! I see that you've recently started ttc. How has it been? Are you tracking specifically or just winging it?

We winged it for 8 months and when we consulted we found out that I don't ovulate naturally. Apparently my body likes producing cysts not eggs. 😅

But with the medication I was able to ovulate this month.

Well when I started in June I was tracking with like flo ovulation, but now I'm winging it as we dtd often enough that I don't really need to track it 😅 haha.

But damn I'm sorry to hear!
That's great that the medication helps you 😀

Anyone else stopped taking the pill before ttc? My cramps are becoming worse & I don't think my periods are coming any time soon...the pain just seems to be getting progressively worse each day. We agreed to try until the end of the year but I honestly don't know how much more of this I can take..it's been 4 weeks since I came off the mini pill.

I did end of may
6 weeks I think before I got my period
I got a variety of symptoms like that
It can be an emotional time
But then consistent periods after which
Could be a sign of your period to be coming in a few weeks? Obviously your hormones are balancing still.

I really hope my periods come soon...or the slim chance of a positive test..either would be fine just as long as the pain calms down.

I know it's hard isn't it not knowing if the symptoms are pregnancy or they are period symptoms.
Unfortunately mine ended up being period.
Actually thinking about it as well it wasn't 6 weeks. It was about 8 weeks for me.
I was on the combined pill.

@Rose38 I was on the mini pill before stopped in December. It took a full 4 weeks for my periods to return so maybe the symptoms you’re having are just getting your body ready for your period, fingers crossed it comes soon or a bfp!

@starryx im feeling good this morning I’m 2/3 dpo now so just hoping this is our month. We dtd 3 times in the fertile window so just hoping one of those times we get lucky! I’m trying not to overthink this tww as last month was my longest luteal phase I’d had so had got my hopes up a little. How are you feeling are you in the tww?

Can anyone else relate or offer advice.
Since this will be my first one whenever I get my bfp.
The thought of birth is kind of scary lmao.
It's the pain that gives me fear of the birth and also the thought of my vajay opening that much. 😂😅

To be honest you can't predict how it will be...I mean we all assume we can have a natural birth but sometimes it doesn't pan out that way.
For my first birth, my waters broke during the night at around maybe 2am. Once your waters break, they ideally want you to have the baby within 24 hours so that it prevents any infection. We went to the hospital & I was in labour but the labour was not progressing quickly enough so they tried numerous things. Eventually the last thing they tried was hooking me up to an IV with something in it to make the labour progress...this is actually more painful than normal labour. But to be honest when I was going through it I was more worried about the baby coming out safely & less about the pain. By the evening the labour had still not progressed enough and the drip thing makes the baby constantly be pushed so it was painful. Baby's head got stuck so they had to decide to do an emergency c section. But bear in mind I had spent a whole day at the hospital and tried so many things.

Seriously don't worry about the labour. All the pain is bearable at the time because all you will care about is the baby coming out safely. People used to say that to me before & I used to think they were just saying that but it's actually true.

Definitely don't watch any birthing videoes because those will scare you. Someone at work decided to show me some & after that I was really scared.

Thank you so much this has definitely relaxed me a lot! 💓 you are right it can go anyway but true the priority is the baby coming out OK and healthy. And yes I will not be watching any labour videos then either. You've definitely calmed me as I can be a stresser.
This is what I'm trying to work on is how to keep myself calm and focused.

I used to be exactly like you before I had my first child. Constantly worrying. But honestly women go through so much pain every month with their periods. Labour pain is worse but we can bear it.

Yes please @starryx! We're on month 5 TTC #1. I've never really done forums before but looking for a support group as I'm finding the experience pretty isolating! Still trying to learn what all the acronyms mean lol.

I am spending way to much time on Pinterest reading American "mom" blogs and looking at my cycle on Flo. Most of the time I have to remind my hubby we are trying because he's super chill about it!

Hi all,

Hope its ok to join, TTC #1 here. We’re on cycle 3. Just got my surge yesterday so ovulating today/tomorrow. Officially starting another TWW as of tomorrow alongside being on annual leave for 2 weeks so this will be fun 😂

tried to be a chill as possible this cycle so hopefully all will go well. Not planning on testing unless BBT stays up on AF day to avoid bigger disappointment

sending baby dust to all ✨

CatmumTTC · 23/09/2023 08:48

Thanks @starryx! I'm expecting my period any day now but not feeling hopeful, not convinced I'm actually ovulating properly as not been able to get the OPKs top show a solid line!

Roseberry22 · 23/09/2023 08:57

Does anyone BBT? I’m 3dpo today and had a temperature drop! It’s too early for any sort of implantation so I’m now worried I’m already out for this cycle 😔
