I have a 2 year old and looking to start TTC later year. I made great friends on here last time when trying to conceive in 2020 so thought I would start a thread for anyone who is trying to conceive whilst looking after another child (in my case a toddler ekkk)

Had a chemical on the 15th august and still haven't had a period so have finally ordered some ovulation tests, took one last night and it said I was ovulating I think?

So trying again properly now

I read somewhere that even after a CP you go through a postpartum period whilst your body sorts its hormones out, which might explain some of the low moods I had.

I’m due to ovulate early next week. Already struggling to be positive.

Just wondering if anyone is giving up caffeine entirely? I did last time, but this time due to work I’ve been having the odd cup in the morning and when my brain won’t switch on. Idk how much of an impact it has on conception…

@deliwoman1 I am in exactly the same position as you and have been having double espressos all week of my period 😂 Think I will limit myself to one tea a day next week..

@Swirls346 thats really hard. You’re right to be positive though in that you can conceive naturally. I know a few that have had IVF before and then gone on to have a baby naturally. Hopefully next month will be your month.

I’ve had some symptoms I had with DD and with MMC earlier this year i’m 13dpo and a stark negative so presume AF is on the way i’m gutted I really thought it had happened this month 😢😭

So sorry @Swirls346. I’d say it must be a positive that it can happen naturally. Hopefully the next cycle is more positive for you.

I’m due to ovulate today or tomorrow but I’ve still not had a peak on OPK so who knows what my body is doing. I’m CD15 today, last month I had my peak on CD14, prior to that it was CD16, then CD15.

I find ovulation testing so confusing as some advice is test with FMU but other places say to only test between 10am and 8pm 🤷🏼‍♀️

I find ovulation tests confusing too, I only started about a week ago because I haven't had a period since my chemical in august and I thought it might provide some clarity.

I think I may have ovulated based on the results about 6 days ago. Not sure how long to wait before testing now 🤔

I'm another one not great with ovulation tests! I kind of gave up on them this month so my dates are all a bit hazy.
I actually successfully forgot about things for some of this TWW but approaching the end now so my sanity is becoming more questionable! Definitely got sore boobs, v.tired and been emotionally unstable today- hardly determinative either way though...
Depending on which App I look at im expecting AF tomorrow or Wednesday. Going to dig deep and try and wait til Wednesday if no unwanted arrival before then... 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

It’s a minefield!

I use two apps, Flo and Premom.

Premom has me ovulating today, Flo says tomorrow. Based on a static smiley face on my Clearblue digital tonight (though it was negative at 8am) and the Premom tests not having me hit a peak I think Flo is correct.

I’m going to test again at 10pm before bed as I’m convinced I’m going to get my surge overnight.

@Bubblesandtroubles you’re stronger than me if you can wait to test once your period is late! I have no chill and know I’ll test before. With my first I just knew I was pregnant when I tested two days before my period so I think I’ll get to that stage this month and cave 😅

I may well cave yet! But I've just found it really upsetting seeing the stark white last few months so trying to save myself the double disappointment of negative text and AF.
I've also got weird almost sandpaper like complexion on my forehead which I seem to remember from first time around- but might be wishful thinking?!
Aargh, I think I'm getting my hopes up... 😬xx

Congratulations @Bubblesandtroubles! Sorry I don't get to post here much as my toddler keeps me busy but I am still trying. I had a faint line yesterday but not sure if it's a chemical since it's so faint. Time will tell! It's been 5 cycles for me so far

Thank you @mumsince2021 I hope your line goes from strength to strength 🤞🏻 how many DPO do you think you are?
I think it's been either 5 or 6 cycles for us (I've lost count). Fell really quickly with our first so this has been quite a challenge dealing with the disappointment.
Trying not to get too far ahead of ourselves as obviously a long journey to go. But, for tonight, just very grateful for those cluster of cells chilling out in there and very much enjoying the feeling of hope for what's to come. Xx

Your line looks solid @Bubblesandtroubles I wouldn't be worrying if I was you. I was quite unlucky and had 2 chemicals across 16 months TTC my son but the third time we didn't do anything different and it was successful so I know it's possible. I haven't been tracking ovulation I'm on cycle day 25 just now which is the usual average cycle length for me. Last pregnancy I was tracking with temps so I could pin point ovulation exactly and back then it was early at cycle day 10. The line was quite light but I'm hoping it's because its a wondfo cheap strip test. I haven't got any FRERs like I used before.

Thanks! I think I just produce strong lines. My husband was half convinced our toddler was twins as it was such a strong line even before a missed period. But she was just on her own in there! Xx
