IVF April 2023 - looking for buddies!

Anyone out there starting/continuing IVF treatment next month (April 2023)?

I’m 36, first time everything, and due to start stims early April. Wondering if there are others who might like a thread to chat/vent?

It does seem early for you @Triselly - were you a three day transfer? How many days past will your OTD be? I only got a first positive at 10dp5dt.

Yes I was a 3dt so you’re right, it is too early for hpt. I think it might be over for me though, getting some light bleeding now, on the day my period would be due.

Girls I just read online I should avoid spicy food in the TWW ☹️ I ate a really spicy enchilada yesterday. My clinic didn't tell me this. Did you all get told to avoid spicy food? Xx

@lemons44 I had a Mexican the other day. I just made sure I drank extra extra water to flush it through xx

There is a great video on YouTube saying unless you're raving, off your face, there's not really much you can do to change the outcome xx

@lemons44 advice is stick what you would normally do and don't make too many changes. I think the spicy food is because they don't want you to get a tummy upset xx just keep yourself extra hydrated. They also say treat yourself like you are pregnant. No soft cheeses, raw eggs blah blah blah xx

I heard the same thing from someone else @lemons44 but figured if it was that vital to success the drs would have said something! Agree with @CR7 short of running an ultramarathon whilst shooting up heroin, don’t think there’s anything we can do to negatively affect the outcome xx

Cheers@lemons44 , feeling pretty rubbish, mainly spent the day crying. I know it’s mostly hormone induced, and it’s not over until the call from the clinic tomorrow but just feel so sad!

The pessaries are just rubbish - I had the crazy sore boobs as well, then the pain just vanished a couple of days ago, which obviously was just another reason to worry.

Sorry I’ll stop moping in the thread so much now. Yes you’re 3dp3dt - your little one might be starting to implant today!

@lemons44 transfer day is day zero, so yes today is day 3 xx

@Triselly it's the biggest rollercoaster. Every stage is a milestone. This bit is the hardest as the work is all done and now there's nothing we can do but wait x

Sorry @Triselly it's so difficult. I think as we both have the one embryo it also maybe feels a bit more pressure. I think we need days where we let it all out as we're only human and going through the most stressful thing in the world. So glad you created this group as it has really helped me to know I'm not alone 💗

Absolutely agree - I’m so glad you guys are all here, this would have been so much harder without having a place to rant and worry and hope with women who really understand ❤️

@Triselly @lemons44 @TheBirdintheCave @RunningOnHope @Flowerlover010 very thankful also that we can ask questions and rant and moan and worry and be there for each other. There's never any judgement, only other queens trying to keep us strong and on track.

I hope we have some positive news over the next week for those of us waiting to keep everyone's spark of hope alive. I'm on a few threads and not many success stories so I'm ready for some good news, wherever it comes from xx

One last test for me tonight before OTD, really it's about seeing when the HCG starts to fall. I guess if it's still rising with the bleeding, they might be concerned about ectopic...

How long will you have to wait tomorrow @Triselly before hearing the blood results?

@lemons44 sympathy with the progesterone boobs, they are bad. Like @Triselly I had it for a while but definitely weakened now.

@RunningOnHope yes first wee of the day for me. I have the test in the bathroom ready with a little pot to wee in.

Will let you guys know once I've pulled myself together. Every time so far my husband and I have gone back to bed for a cuddle and a cry.

I was saying (on here I think?) that according to Amazon I have purchased 37 boxes of tests and never ever seen a line so if there is one, my head may just fall off.

Test tonight is a little darker than yesterday again and came up at the same speed as the control line.

I have no idea what the clinic will say when I tell them this saga tomorrow - I haven't heard of anyone having an actual period bleed at this sort of time and an embryo surviving it, so maybe it's a case of HCG lagging behind a bit. Or maybe there's still chance of a miracle.

@RunningOnHope I see it clearly xx are you still bleeding?

Was it a bit of blood or like small period?
