IVF April 2023 - looking for buddies!

Anyone out there starting/continuing IVF treatment next month (April 2023)?

I’m 36, first time everything, and due to start stims early April. Wondering if there are others who might like a thread to chat/vent?

Do you think the clinic might call me in for bloods if I tell them it's positive but I'm also bleeding? Or more likely to take a wait and see approach? They seem quite laid back overall with minimum of appointments, but I might try hydrating properly tomorrow in case they say on Monday to come in for a test.

@RunningOnHope start hydrating now please. I think that if you are concerned you can order the blood test from Amazon and do it yourself and not wait for the clinic x

@CR7 that is the exact blood test my clinic gave me to do at home so is obviously reliable.

Thanks everyone for your words of comfort. We went out for lunch and I have started to feel a bit better now. Keeping positive for the TWW xx

@TheBirdintheCave @lemons44 @CR7 when it first came up, we said it's not what you'd call a faint line anymore - just a line - and hopefully by Monday it might even be a strong line...

@RunningOnHope the blood test is available for next delivery for me on Amazon so if I was you I would get it so you're ready for Monday x

@CR7 lightened off this evening and more like pale brown again, it almost seems like the pessary helps - don't know if it could work that quickly?! If I had more of them I'd try upping the dosage but bloody bank holiday on Monday means it's going to be quick turn around to get more pessaries from through the GP if positive on Monday.

@RunningOnHope I would say the clinic should definitely be doing a blood test for you if you tell them youve had blood and how much etc. They should then do another one a few days later or possibly even a week later to monitor the hcg levels. Its such an agonising wait. Hopefully it will be clearer on monday. Fingers crossed.

@RunningOnHope can you try the clinic number to see if there's a prerecorded message for an emergency number? Or see if they have an emergency number on their website?

@lemons44 They do have an emergency line but the info they sent home after ET said if you experience bleeding don't phone the emergency number but leave a message on the normal line and they'll get back to you when open. But I don't know if that still stands when you're also getting positive tests?

@RunningOnHope I think wait til tomorrow and call regardless. I was told not to ring beforehand x

@RunningOnHope theres literally nothing they can do anyway so you can only ring tomorrow with your result tomorow and go from there. They will likely do a blood test and go from there

Agree with @Flowerlover010 , I’d imagine they probably wouldn’t be able to do anything but might have some answers for you, @RunningOnHope . I’m so sorry, this sounds absolutely bewildering and must be very stressful xx

Ah, counting down the hours until I can blood test tomorrow, cheers @CR7 ! Still testing negative so braced for an answer I don’t want, but I know it’s still a little early. How are you?

I'm ok. A bit antsy now was we are so close. I'm sure once we all have some answers one way or another we will feel calmer even if it's not what we want to hear xx
