IVF April 2023 - looking for buddies!

Anyone out there starting/continuing IVF treatment next month (April 2023)?

I’m 36, first time everything, and due to start stims early April. Wondering if there are others who might like a thread to chat/vent?

If you’re out there and in a similar position, let me know!

Morning everyone, would love a quick reminder of where everyone's at. Been too wrapped up in my own drama the last few days and want to remember everyone else's journey too!

Have we all got nice weekend plans? I've got a 4 year olds birthday party today and an old uni friend coming to visit later. Church tomorrow with probably some kind of coronation celebrations involved...!

I'm ok :) Toddler was meant to have outdoor football this morning but we swerved it because of the rain 😂 We have a friend and her three year old coming for a coronation floor picnic in a few hours 😬 We have gone overboard with food 😂.

Other than that just obsessively checking the calendar to see when is the earliest I could have a transfer whilst also trying to distract myself with the idea of delicious cocktails in Palermo 😂

It's hard. After the Dec/Jan miscarriage I was convinced I'd be pregnant by the holiday so to now know that there's not even a possibility of that really sucks 😭

I'm pretty low this morning ☹️ our second embryo didn't make it so we have this one chance.

Just feel so stressed. This process is so hard.

@RunningOnHope OTD Monday for me. Coronation activities I think today and plenty of Netflix over the next few days if the weather is crappy x

Morning guys ❤️ hope you all have fun coronation weekends! I’m in Scandinavia so gonna watch it on tv/force everyone at work to watch it too today haha. I’m 9dp3dt today, with the official blood test on Monday. I don’t feel any different at all, no cramps, no spotting, nothing. Other than constantly bursting into tears every 10 mins, thank you progesterone.

@lemons44 I understand - I’m in the same position, just this one on board and nothing else in the freezer. I found it so hard understand how the others could not have survived, and whether if they’d just put them all back if they’d have had a chance at least? (I know that’s mental). But you have the best one back with you now, the situation is not hopeless, you have the strongest one with the best chance xx

I have to admit, don’t judge me too harshly but I’ve been testing every couple of days since ET, mainly just to cushion the blow if it’s bad news after the blood test on monday. So far all negatives, but I know not to take it to heart.

Im still just waiting to start my stims. Injections are going ok so far. Actually have a cold at the moment so feel bit crappy but just grateful ive got it out the way before i start stims and EC. Going to a coronation party at my local tomorrow.
@lemons44 sorry it didnt make it. Its such a hard journey every step of the way. Fingers crossed for this one 🤞🤞🤞

@Triselly no judgement on testing. Everyone is different. What works for one doesn't work for another PROVIDING you are not stressing yourself out as that is the last thing you need.

No symptoms here and means nothing. The nurses told me only one in four people have any symptoms so don't let that worry you more. My sisters had four non symptomatic pregnancies between them xx

Just an update from me, my period came a few days ago, my official test day was yesterday so had to test anyway and it’s (obviously) a negative for me. So I’m out this round and just waiting for next steps for the clinic about when I can start again as we had no frozen embryos so will need another fresh round.

i am keeping everything crossed for all of you and will be lurking on this thread to see all your outcomes ❤️❤️

@pongom sending you love xx make sure you ask what they are going to do differently this time. Investigations? Tests? Changes in drugs etc. they need to work for their money xx

Bleeding is heavier here today - I think it would still count as brown but getting ominously redder. Not tested today so far but think I will do later when I have chance to go out. Just want to know how this is going to play out.

@CR7 struggling a bit to be honest. I find the uncertainty so hard. The blood is turning red and it's been enough to fill a pad over the day. If I hadn't been testing I'd absolutely think it was over. Haven't tested still today.
How are you doing?

Doing ok here. Zero symptoms. Period is due tomorrow (in theory). Two more sleeps and we will both know for sure. Hope you are resting @RunningOnHope xx

@RunningOnHope also thinking of you, I’m sorry that it’s such a rollercoaster, what kind of test are you doing on Monday - is it a home test or at the clinic?

I’ll be doing a blood test on Monday too along with you and @CR7 , regardless of the answer it’ll be such a relief just to get a break from the not knowing, and the worrying about everything.

@Triselly it's just a pee on a stick test at home and then ring to let them know. I hadn't clicked that it would be a bank holiday last time I spoke to them, so I really hope they're open!

If it does turn out to still be positive I'll let them know about the bleeding, but I guess there's still nothing much they can do or say. It will go one way or the other and only time will tell.

@RunningOnHope @Triselly - pee on a stick and call for me too. I also discovered you can buy a pin prick blood test online but I am refraining. Let's see what Monday brings for us all 🍀🍀🍀

Definitely darker tonight. Definitely red blood. Feeling calmer - but it could absolutely go either way still.
