TTC#1 taking longer than expected... support group

So I thought I'd start a group for anyone like me who just has had a bit of a bumpy ride TTC baby number 1 and is looking for others who understand how that feels and want to hang out until we get our BFPs!

Cycle #7 for us, one chemical pregnancy cycle 5, and wondering if we even have a chance through this heatwave and what it does to sperm 🙈

@HampshireRose 10 years 😳 I can't even begin to imagine what that's been like for you. Have you been to the doctor's for blood tests and referrals etc?

@ElaineMarie87 welcome! Wow you've had quite a journey too! Glad the bleeding has stopped after a few months. Good luck for this month - are you going to test early or just wait?

I can relate a little - I also had ectropion last year but the bleeding stopped completely after treatment 🙂
I'm now 9dpo and bought some cheapies today but still wanting to hold off a little longer b4 testing! I'm losing hope this cycle- not feeling any symptoms at all.
@RugbyGirl1 yes I do have the app so will check in a few days to see if any results 🤞🏻

@RugbyGirl1 I have indeed but they are pants it's been a battle for 10 yrs to get stuff sorted. But because if my weight they keep refusing to help me . Lost 6 stone still wasn't enough. I have physical seen a consultant since 2019 all over the phone since then. Had an appointment in April that was on the phone they basically said I need gastric surgery before they will clear the endo and send me to fertility 😅

@RugbyGirl1 Thanks! I’m just going to wait - postpone the disappointment for as long as possible 😭 I’m very regular in my cycles, so if AF doesn’t appear by Sunday I’ll be testing!

@Magix86 I was seriously considering treatment for a few months, even though the gynaecologist I saw said I didn’t need it & it would just set my TTC back while I waited for the treated areas to heal. But who wants to bleed constantly…it put my fiancé off, too, totally understandably!! I’m glad it just stopped - hope it doesn’t come back 😅

@HampshireRose That’s so horrible, I’m so sorry they’re treating you that way. I work in the NHS and with some wonderful doctors but I really do think women’s issues aren’t taken as seriously as other issues…especially when weight is involved. I hope they pull their fingers out and you get what you need!

@ElaineMarie87 thank you I have asked to GP to refer me elsewhere for a second opinion but a long wait apparently. Never mind I will still keep trying.

Period started today, day 31. Quite late for me, I spent the whole weekend hoping…😔 On to the next cycle.

how Is everyone getting on? 8dpo for me and no signs of anything yet. Will be testing at the weekend

Cd25 today and expecting AF any minute 😣 did a test a few days ago - BFN. So I guess we're on to the next cycle! The disappointment and frustration seems never ending. Good luck for the weekend when you test @Jod30 🤞🏻

@Jod30 I think I'm also 8-9 dpo. AF due anytime from Friday to Sunday as 30-32 day cycle. It can vary. Have done a cheap test today which was negative (surprise surprise) 🙈

Thanks everyone, still no signs and I had really sore boobs by now with my chemical a couple months ago so I have a feeling this isn’t my month. Keep us updated when you test again@Mulner88 still plenty of time yet!

AF showed at the weekend so I’m on to the next cycle unfortunately. @Angie2018 how are you doing? You’ve been quiet for a little while but must be coming up to testing time again soon?

I was expecting my period on Sunday but still nothing yet, however did hpt yesterday and today and they are all negative. Maybe my AF is just coming late!! My body seems to be playing tricks on me 😩 i would definitely be testing positive now if I was pregnant!

@Mulner88 That happened to me, too, this month 😭 🤞🤞 AF stays away and you get a positive soon!!

@ElaineMarie87 yeh I feel I will prob get AF tomorrow. I've had sore boobs past couple days and soreness is gradually going 😞 so annoying!!!

So AF is due in about 2 days and been having my usual PMS once again…so thinking not this cycle either 😔

Out of curiosity, do any of your partners take conception multivitamins? A friend recommended them to me and my fiancé is willing to try, but there are so many brands!

Hi All, I didn't bother TTC in August after July have ever symptom under the sun that I never had before AF turned up! Tried again this month so will see what happens. Wishing all luck to everyone this month ❤️

@ElaineMarie87 oww sorry lovely. I’ve seen a few recent posts of people thinking they’re out and then ended up catching so you never know… still keeping my fingers crossed for you x

As for male vitamins, it is such a minefield!! My DP is on wellman conception, but after his semen analysis (low motility and morphology) have also added vitamin C, vitamin D, L-Carnitine, Ubiquinol and Omega 3.

He has his repeat SA soon so I’m intrigued to see if they’ve made a difference.

@HampshireRose Symptom spotting is soo frustrating isn’t it — I’ve had all the symptoms, and also months with absolutely nothing, never seen a BFP in almost 2 years 🙈 wishing you lots of luck too x

My sister in law and brother tried for 1st one fell first try and fell first try with the second that is coming in November😅 me and my SO have been trying for over 10yrs lol and nothing life is mega unfair.

Hey @Harper02 ! How you getting on? Had a false positive last cycle which was the first time I’d ever seen two lines… it put me right in the dumps but I’m back now on CD8 feeling positive and energised! Think we will be trying SMEP again this cycle.

DP has booked his repeat SA for next month and am hopefully getting our fertility clinic referral next week🤞

Hi @Harper02 how are you doing? No news here unfortunately. I got my solid smiley yesterday morning but my partner hadn't been able to dtd which was quite frustrating. We did do the night before tho but we won't see each other again now for a few days so I think I'm out this month 😔

Just finished AF 2 days ago, getting straight back on the wagon, as it were. October is my birthday month so 🤞🤞 for a nice bday present 😂👶
