Angie2018 · 14/07/2022 09:13

So I thought I'd start a group for anyone like me who just has had a bit of a bumpy ride TTC baby number 1 and is looking for others who understand how that feels and want to hang out until we get our BFPs!

Cycle #7 for us, one chemical pregnancy cycle 5, and wondering if we even have a chance through this heatwave and what it does to sperm 🙈

Looking forward to chatting ❤️‍🩹

@pixiecircle right 😂😂 just goes to show you can’t believe anything on Google. Not sure how much nerves contributed to the sad bowels - I think tomorrow will be interesting.

We did use conceive plus this month, every time we DTD. My fiancé also just started taking wellman conception vitamins in September!

Harper02 · 07/10/2022 19:18

Aww massive congratulations @ElaineMarie87 🥰🥰🥰

I'm CD2 now, my body likes to trick me🫠🫠 af was two days late! how is everyone xx

Magix86 · 07/10/2022 20:46

@Harper02 me too! It was the most hope I'd had so far lol. CD6 today, started with the OPK's this morning 🙌🏻 going to try to dtd daily as well as start with conceive plus lube from tomorrow onwards and see how we get on 😅
I've chased my ultrasound for initial fertility investigations and there's a 15 week wait unfortunately so nothing to do but wait for now.
Hope you're doing ok

ElaineMarie87 · 08/10/2022 07:24

@Harper02 thank you 🥰🥰

good luck to you and @Magix86 also this cycle, fingers and toes crossed!!

pixiecircle · 10/10/2022 13:22

Joining you ladies with a new cycle @Harper02 @Magix86 — Also feel tricked this cycle as my temps stayed high at 13DPO which has never happened, but it did take a massive nose dive this morning… was so hopeful this cycle as we followed SMEP perfectly, can’t believe we still missed the egg 😞

I am going to try the conceive plus lube too! I’ve also enquired about starting acupuncture, ready to try anything at this rate 😂

@ElaineMarie87 how are you feeling?! How are your symptoms?

Magix86 · 10/10/2022 13:36

@pixiecircle 👋🏻 what day are you on now? I'm afraid I don't have the best understanding of temping, that's something I've never done myself!
I'm CD9 today...got a flashing smiley on OPK yesterday and today. I feel like something has changed and my cycles are becoming a bit longer for some reason. I've consistently had 26 day cycles but the last one was 28 days. I've also been getting my static smiley on day 9 but now looks to be day 10. I'm taking this as a good thing tho 😊
Going to start with conceive plus tonight and dtd every day...Will let u know how we get on! I've seen a lot of other threads on here raving about how good conceive plus is so 🤞🏻 hoping it works for both of us!
Acupuncture may be next for me but I'll hold off for a few months for now I think. How long have you been trying for? I think this is month 10 for us now.
@Harper02 @ElaineMarie87 hope you guys are doing ok!

pixiecircle · 10/10/2022 13:47

@Magix86 CD1 today, next month will be 2 years trying 😞

How long is your luteal phase? Have you added anything new that might extend your cycle?

Yes let us know!! I’m so intrigued, we put the lube off for so long but think it’s worth a try. Ooh exciting that you got your flashing smile! Fingers crossed this is our cycle!! Xx

Magix86 · 10/10/2022 13:56

@pixiecircle ah sorry 😞 that must have been so hard. But always good to have new things to try and keep the positivity going! Definitely good to try the lube, it can't hurt! I just feel like it's gonna be messy trying it for the first time lol I can't wait 😅
I think my luteal phase is probably around 16 days, although I don't know exactly as I don't temp to know for sure when I ovulated...if that makes sense?! But I usually get my peak on OPK either day 9 or 10 and usually a 26 day cycle. I have been taking wellwoman vits but just changed to pregnacare about 6 days ago...

ElaineMarie87 · 11/10/2022 08:57

@pixiecircle I’m doing alright, thank you! Symptoms have settled loads and now I just have a sort of dull ache around my pelvic area - apparently this is something called round ligament pain. A bit more tired when I get home from work but nothing a nap can’t fix.

Definitely try conceive plus guys, we used it for about 3 months before conceiving & before then I was just using regular lube. Obviously can’t credit it 100% as so many factors involved in getting pregnant, but I do think it helped.

pixiecircle · 03/11/2022 13:19

How is everyone getting on??

I’m at 5DPO and threw everything at this cycle… conceive plus, acupuncture and even Chinese herbs! My temps have been a lot more stable this month, and had a big temp spike after ovulation so it feels like something is happening even if just better balance of hormones 🤞

Finally heard back from the fertility clinic, but have another 6 weeks until our first consultation… bahh!

Magix86 · 03/11/2022 19:13

Hey @pixiecircle sounds like you're doing everything! 🤞🏻for you for this cycle. Hopefully those 6 weeks go quickly! It's good you've got the initial consultation now. I'm on cd5 now. Have an ultrasound coming up to support the referral to fertility clinic - GP says they can't refer without this?! And my partner has now arranged his semen analysis so we'll see what happens. Didn't manage the conceive plus last month so going to start it this time. My cycle has now gone from a regular 26 day to 29 days now 🤷🏻‍♀️

pixiecircle · 03/11/2022 19:36

@Magix86 That’s good they’re getting things in motion!! I’ve not done an ultrasound yet, so I wonder if every area has different criteria… Good luck with it, and with your partners SA 🤞 did you have day 3 bloods too?

Magix86 · 03/11/2022 19:44

@pixiecircle thank you 😊
Yes I had 3 day bloods and 21 day bloods too. Been waiting 4 months just for this ultrasound! Just frustrated with the waiting times and the fact that gp won't even send a referral until I've had a scan. I've heard of a lot of others that didn't need a scan to get referred so I do wonder if my gp has got that wrong. But in any case, at least it will done by next week.
Hope the next few days go quick for you - do you think you will test?

Ncl31 · 03/11/2022 20:05

Hey ladies, hope you don’t mind if I join here.
We have been TTC #1 for 13 cycles now.
My cycles began regularly for 6 months after coming off my contraceptive injection. Then after 6 months they stopped for 3 months and I’ve only had one more since then. I peaked on my OPKs but no AF.
when my cycles were regular they were 28-30 days. Right now I’m CD40.
I’m hoping my cycles become regular again and I finally get AF.

pixiecircle · 03/11/2022 21:53

@Magix86 4 months for an ultrasound 😱 at least you’re so close now!! It’ll be good you have everything to take with you when your referral is finally approved, should make the process quicker 🤞no doubt I’ll have a very long wait with all the additional tests… this process really teaches us patience!!

Welcome @Ncl31 !! Sorry to hear your cycles have become so irregular… do you temp? Have you started investigations with your GP yet?

pixiecircle · 03/11/2022 22:05

@Magix86 tbh I said I’d hold off this month but my chart is looking the best it’s ever looked, SO different to any other cycle! But it’s probably the herbs as it’s too early for implantation, so basically I’ll try resisting but if the chart looks good I won’t be able to resist 🤪

Magix86 · 03/11/2022 22:14

@pixiecircle I know nothing is quick or straightforward is it! Hopefully you'll receive all the investigations you need fairly soon and can move on to next steps 😁 Sounds good about the chart! What herbs are they lol?! And where did you find out about them? I'm curious I may have to try too haha
Welcome @Ncl31 👋🏻 sorry to hear that, can you think of any reason why? My cycles have recently become longer but only by 2-3 days. The only thing I've changed is starting pregnacare vitamins. Have you seen your gp yet?

pixiecircle · 04/11/2022 08:57

@Magix86 I went to a traditional Chinese medicine doctor! We talked about my cycle and details of AF, and from that gave me a diagnosis and herbs to treat it.

I asked for the herbs in pill form as I wasn’t sure I’d stomach the teas… He gave me different pills for before and after ovulation — right now I’m taking some that boost progesterone (am), supports the liver (both am and pm), and boosts estrogen (pm). Before ovulation was all about increasing my uterine lining.

It was a lot to take in but he was clearly knowledgeable and not pushy in any way. Obvs not sure if they’ll work but I’ll definitely stay on them for a few months to see how they go 🤞

I know some fertility clinics don’t like them so I’ll have to ask about that at the consultation. But I have heard they can be more effective than IVF (but I guess it depends on the reason for infertility).

pixiecircle · 04/11/2022 09:04

Also I know I’m probs overthinking but do you guys dtd during the tww?

Been reading a lot of conflicting info — some say semen helps implantation, some say the contractions can prevent implantation… 🤷‍♀️

Magix86 · 04/11/2022 09:13

@pixiecircle that's fascinating. Thank you for sharing. Good luck using it!
As for dtd during the 2ww I don't usually give it too much thought. I guess we still do but not as often as the previous week!

pixiecircle · 04/11/2022 12:49

Thanks @Magix86 ! If you do look for same in the future, make sure they’re reputable and have the right credentials… apparently lots of charlatans out there!

Yeah def overthinking it, I came across this post about it and made me think!! Hope you have a lovely weekend and can enjoy some down time!! X

Ncl31 · 04/11/2022 21:29

@pixiecircle @Magix86
I work with a gynae consultant weekly and they got me to get referred quickly to them.
As soon as we hit 12 months he referred me to fertility.
my scans etc… we’re all normal.
we have our first fertility appointment on 17th November

pixiecircle · 06/11/2022 10:55

@Ncl31 sounds like you have a great consultant!! And it’s great that you’re getting moved through the process quickly and all scans are normal (although I feel that can be more frustrating sometimes as you kinda wish something was wrong so that you can fix it).

Good luck with the fertility appointment, not too much longer to wait now! You’ll have to let us know how it goes x
