TTC#1 taking longer than expected... support group

So I thought I'd start a group for anyone like me who just has had a bit of a bumpy ride TTC baby number 1 and is looking for others who understand how that feels and want to hang out until we get our BFPs!

Cycle #7 for us, one chemical pregnancy cycle 5, and wondering if we even have a chance through this heatwave and what it does to sperm 🙈

I had my break last month, it was so nice not testing/tracking. Had a 35 day cycle and started clomid again this month. Will start using OPKs tonight 🤞🏼❤️

@Harper02 yesss cycle buddies 🙌!! The test was easy@home, have gone through soo many boxes and never even had an indent!!

I’m still waiting to ovulate 😫 OPK this morning was super light, which is weird for me… not sure what’s going on 🤷‍♀️

@pixiecircle your peak could just appear out of nowhere 🤞🏼 hopefully!! Mine was negative and then 4 hours later straight to peak 🤣 nearly missed it!!

@Harper02 not 100% sure as I don’t track my ovulation precisely but I’m guessing 5-6 DPO. I get EWCM usually between days 14-18, & currently on day 22. 6 days left eek! So far no symptoms. Waiting is always the worst!!

Woohoo got my peak on Sunday!! Temp hasn’t confirmed yet but hopefully it’ll rise tomorrow 🤞

@pixiecircle getting my usual PMS symptoms now so not holding out much hope 😭 but it’s not over until it’s over - trying to stay positive.

@ElaineMarie87 oo it’s so hard when you just feel out, but you’re def not out yet!! Are you thinking of testing soon?

@pixiecircle No, I’ll just wait to see if AF comes. Mostly I’m just trying to stave off the disappointment as long as I can 😅

I keep thinking if/when it finally happens I’ll know. Like my symptoms will be totally different - does anyone else think that? I’ve spent so much time the past 10 months keeping track of symptoms that I feel like I’ve come to know my body really well, that I could probably tell the difference between PMS and pregnancy. But I’ve never been pregnant so I really don’t know what I’m talking about!!

@ElaineMarie87 I hear you and tell myself this same thing all the time! Although it still doesn't stop me symptom spotting each month and convincing myself that this is the one. Also been trying around 10 months now. AF should be due today and I can feel it's on it's way. Might try something different this next cycle and use some preseed lubricant (I think that's the right one?)...not tried it before but feel like it's time to try something different!

@ElaineMarie87 I tell myself the same too!!! I really wish I had the same willpower to wait until missed AF to test. How you getting on?

@Magix86 I’ve not tried any fertility lube yet, but I do always find it helps mentally to have something new to try for next cycle!! My friend swears by using the conceive plus lube (she conceived 2 DC with it) but DP wasn’t keen when I suggested it.

9DPO today, struggling to resist the urge to test!!

Morning @pixiecircle 🥰 I am having the weirdest time. I'm 13dpo (af was due yesterday, bfn on easy@home) I had brown spotting on 11&12dpo. Surely if I was pregnant my tests would have been positive yesterday? Hope the next few days fly for you, when are you testing?🤞🏼

@pixiecircle thank you. I got my hopes up as AF was 2 days late and it's never ever late! So on CD4 now and getting ready to try again...I'm going to give the lube a go so will let you know how we get on! Good to hear your friend swears by it.

@Harper02 that sounds positive! Perhaps the spotting was implantation bleeding and yesterday was too early to show up on a test? Maybe test again in a couple of days 🤞🏻

@Magix86 We have been using a fertility lube called Conceive Plus for 3 months…and well, so far it hasn’t made any difference 😂. It’s a nice lubricant if nothing else but it is expensive, so if we don’t conceive before this tube runs out I’m not sure I will repurchase. I get that lube isn’t going to magically make you get pregnant, though it would be nice if it did 🥲

@pixiecircle I’m currently on day 32 and no AF yet…I’m not getting my hopes up though, my longest cycle this year has been 31 days so I’m not confident at all. Plus still having my usual PMS symptoms (including period poops - sorry if this is TMI but I’ve read that’s definitely not a symptom of pregnancy and I get horrible bowels without fail every cycle, so convinced that it’s just AF late). We’ll see how today goes, trying not to get hopeful but it’s hard not to!! Every time I go to the bathroom today I’ll be stressing 😂

@Harper02 Ooo fingers crossed the spotting is maybe just some breakthrough! I’ve read that tests can throw up negatives if you ovulate a bit late, and so your body hasn’t had enough time to make the right levels of HcG. My mother has been telling me that when AF finally is properly late to wait at least a week if I want a proper, definitive positive. Mind you she’s not a gynaecologist so 😂 But everyone is different, and at this point, from reading about other people’s pregnancy symptoms, it seems the only true test is missing AF. So fingers crossed for you!!

@Harper02 good morning lovely!! Do you normally spot before AF? If it was implantation bleeding, they say to wait at least 2 days for hcg to be detected so I reckon tomorrow 🤞

I caved and of course was BFN, just needed to scratch that itch and now hopefully I can get on with my day…!

@ElaineMarie87 thank you. It would be great if there was some magic fix wouldn't it! 😅 we haven't tried much other than just dtd every cycle and using OPK'S and taking vitamins. So I really want to try something different and see. Like u say it is expensive so I can't imagine buying it more than once unless we actually like it!

@ElaineMarie87 ooh yes the period poops… it’s crazy what our hormones do to us!! It’s soo hard, I commend your willpower 👏👏 — are you waiting for a week after missed AF?!

@pixiecircle I think I’m going to test today. On day 33 now and no AF. I was going to wait until the weekend but honestly I’ve had so much anxiety the past few days, stressing every time I go to the bathroom, waking up in the middle of the night and not being able to sleep…I can’t take it any longer 😅😅 I need some relief, even if it’s negative!! 🤞🤞 it isn’t!!

Well ladies, after 10 months of disappointment I finally got my very first positive!!!! I was so prepared for more disappointment that I’m still
in shock. It doesn’t seem real, and it’s still super early days and I know the risks, so cautiously excited. I’m really hoping and wishing for success for all of you xx

@Magix86 Thank you!! We are super excited but also super terrified 😂

So far my symptoms have been sore boobs, though not too sore tbh & some days they’ve been hardly sore at all; abdominal cramps like I would get around my period; and some icky bowels, though my fiancé thinks that’s because I’ve been so anxious lol. We’ll see what happens tomorrow. I had a migraine a few days ago & a really bad headache the next day, but I tend to get period migraines so I didn’t think anything of it at the time. No CM at all, I don’t feel any more tired than usual. On the whole basically just my usual PMS symptoms but maybe a bit milder, generally I feel ok. Hoping this lasts b/c I am not looking forward to morning-noon-and-night sickness as my mother calls it 😭
