TTC#1 taking longer than expected... support group

So I thought I'd start a group for anyone like me who just has had a bit of a bumpy ride TTC baby number 1 and is looking for others who understand how that feels and want to hang out until we get our BFPs!

Cycle #7 for us, one chemical pregnancy cycle 5, and wondering if we even have a chance through this heatwave and what it does to sperm 🙈

@Magix86 so true! I keep crying at that fact that it can happen to some to effortlessly yet others despair for months and years doing everything right and it still doesn't happen. It's just a hard fact of life!!

@Essexgalttc I'm like you this cycle. 8dpo and absolutely certain AF will be here on the 30/31st without fail. Yep comments like those piss me off and upset me. It makes me feel like because I want it so much and think about it all the time that I'm ruining my own chances by thinking about it. I wish people would sod off with comments like that they are particularly hurtful and very annoying!!

I hear you and feel the same. Baby dust to you. Let's hope we get some BFPs on this thread soon ❤️

Well, quick update! I have been getting peak OPK and ovulating on the same day, CD17 for the past 8 months or so.... Apart from this month my body has decided to peak early today on CD15! Argh! Thankfully DTD Thursday and yesterday, will go again tonight and tomorrow... And see if temp rises to confirm 🤞

@Magix86 @Essexgalttc @Angie2018 You're not out until AF arrives, positive thoughts girls!!! TTC can be such a a difficult, stressful and upsetting journey, and can seem so unfair at times. There are no words that can help but as you can see from this group - you're not alone 🤗

The daily Vs every other day argument is an interesting one - I think just do what works for you, sperm can live up to 5 days so a couple of times around ovulation should be good 👍

@RugbyGirl1 sounds like you've dtd at good times even though it's earlier than you thought! Fingers crossed for you x

I survived the day with my two pregnant sisters! The whole convo all day was about pregnancy and babies but for once I coped okay lol. 🫣

@Essexgalttc I get those comments all the time!!! I've just started to answer people back and say I've got bloody PCOS so no amount of relaxing is going to get me pregnant lol🤣 hope you're ok though and hopeful for your bfp🤞🏼

@Harper02 How was your day with pregnant sisters? I’m seeing my friend for the first time this week since my loss. Our babies were due the same week and I’ve struggled to see her because every milestone for her is a painful reminder of my loss. But I’m determined to see her this week! Feel like I’m healing a lot, although not quite there yet! x

Cd9 and solid smiley as predicted! Annoying it's moved from a regular cd10 to cd9 tho 😔
Will be able to dtd late tonight and again Wednesday 🤞🏻🙏🏻🤞🏻🙏🏻
Means I can also book in my day21 bloods now I know the date!

sorry I’ve had a few days off here while I had AF. CD9 for me and I’m going to try SMEP this month starting from yesterday. I’ve ovulated around CD19 the last couple months so still a long way to go

Hi ladies sorry I have been a bit quiet today! I have needed a quick break to reset as my period is certainly going to show at the weekend. It's ok though my head round it for another month! Going to start getting more active and walking everyday and just carry on doing what makes me happy to try and forget TTC. Sorry @Essexgalttc that you are having to be reminded constantly, that's so hard. @Harper02 it's proven that just relaxing does not get you pregnant! Science is what gets you pregnant and all we can do is keep DTD and hoping for the best. It will happen it just takes time. You will fall like we all will. @Magix86 CD9 for a static is perfect. Ovulation on day 10 plus is fine! Don't panic! @Jod30 hope you are ok & enjoy SMEP! We love it and find it lots of fun!!

@Angie2018 aww hope you're ok! I hate that feeling, you just lose hope❤️ have you no symptoms at all? Xx

@Essexgalttc it was ok! I felt a bit lost tbh because of all the stuff they're talking about (midwife appointments etc) but I just put on a brave face. Had a proper wee cry again earlier though🤣 hope it goes okay with your friend, it's so so hard xx

I guess I'm now in my 2ww. Ovulated either Monday or Tuesday and dtd a fair amount over the few days. Just a waiting game now...

Ooh could that be implantation bleeding maybe? Is it too soon for AF? It's hard when everything seems to be a symptom of either!

@Magix86 I've got zero symptoms this month which is new, I normally have sore boobs etc. af arrives on 13dpo for me! It was literally the tiniest wee speck😫 happy Friday anyway! It's a Bristol day here so I've treated myself to an iced coffee ☕️ xx

Haha! I'm sure Bristol is just as beautiful lol. Well that sounds positive! I've heard a few ppl having no symptoms as a good sign early on 🤞🏻
You only have a few more days to go! Will you test or just wait to see if AF shows? X

@Harper02 if something is different to usually that's often a good sign... Even if it means not having symptoms! Would be lovely to see a BFP on here 🙃 good luck to you!

@Magix86 BBT is showing I ovulated Tuesday so very similar timelines to you 😊 the wait always goes sooooo sloooooow

At least we all have each other during the wait! And great with similar timings. I feel OK right now but next week I'll probably start with the symptom spotting and driving myself crazy 😅

@Magix86 tbh work is so busy at the moment it'll probably take my mind off things. I did feel we covered our days a bit better sex wise this time round so can't help feeling a bit more optimistic... But then I remember it's cycle number 20 or so, so why would this month be any different or successful when all the others haven't been! When will you test? Or will you wait for AF?

@RugbyGirl1 I hear you! I feel exactly the same in terms of covering our bases much better this time - solid smiley cd9 and we dtd on days 4,5,6, 9, 11 and 12! Just a little gap in the middle on the days just b4 ovulation but not too big a gap so feel it's ok...
I'm sorry it's been a long journey for you 😒 it hasn't happened for the last 20 cycles no but there's also nothing to say this won't be the one! 🤞🏻 stay positive x
I think I'll try and hold off testing as long as possible! The disappointment of a negative is too much....how about you, will you test?

Ohh @Magix86 you did cover your bases! I had solid smiley CB on CD15, DTD on CD 12, 14, 15 and 16, with ovulation on CD17 according to temps. Kinda wish I snuck in an extra one in CD17 but I was tired 😂 thanks for your words of encouragement! I have a shortish LP, may decide to test around 9 dpo but I think that's too early for most....

@RugbyGirl1 I hope so! Ah you did well there too I'd say! Especially if you ovulated day 17 and dtd on 15 and 16 I'd say that was decent! Sperm do hang around for a while too. It is tiring isn't it haha - I've told him it's not happening tonight as I need a break 🤣
