TTC#1 taking longer than expected... support group

So I thought I'd start a group for anyone like me who just has had a bit of a bumpy ride TTC baby number 1 and is looking for others who understand how that feels and want to hang out until we get our BFPs!

Cycle #7 for us, one chemical pregnancy cycle 5, and wondering if we even have a chance through this heatwave and what it does to sperm 🙈

Hi all! Took a break from forums because covid delayed O but finally got a temp spike yest! I’m TTC#1 and this is cycle 20… it’s taking sooo much longer than expected but trying to stay positive. Going to book in for my day 21 bloods next week.

@TwinkleCupcakes glad you finally got your temp spike!! I'm also on cycle 20 or so for baby number one (I stopped counting a while back). Definitely get the ball rolling with your doctor and bloods etc

I'm not feeling as positive this month any more, not feeling anything other than the usual! I'm 7dpo today. I know its probably too early anyway but was hoping to feel something different by now!

I'm 11dpo and my consultant thinks I still have a chance but just not feeling it lol

You definitely aren't out until AF shows! When is that due? Maybe test again in a couple of days? X

@Magix86 I think some people get really different symptoms when they're pregnant and some don't get any at all so you never know 🙃 7 dpo is still early. I'm one day behind on 6dpo, bought some cheapies for the first time ever, God knows why tbh 😂 got my private fertility consultant meeting next Friday and just booked in for some fertility reflexology, I already go for acupuncture so hoping they'll compliment each other

AF is due on Wednesday 👀 just got sore boobs at the moment

I'm out too tested over wknd bfn so that the spotting for 2 days last Monday must have been my period. On another note I'm entering my fertile window again this week so hoping to catch it this month.

I did another test, is this an evap😫🥲

I've been for my day21 bloods today (cd 17!) so will hopefully see if there's any results soon. Still waiting for an ultrasound appointment. I caved and ordered some FRER's today 🙈

Hi all, I’d love to join this chat! This is my first post on Mumsnet as well, so I’m still trying to get used to all the lingo 😵‍💫. I’m 34, my fiancé is 33, and we’ve been TTC first baby since December 2021. I’ve had no end of problems since we started, had thrush 3 times, strep B infection, UTI, got diagnosed with cervical ectopy when I started bleeding for 4-5 months straight. I’ve had bloods and an US, both of which were normal. Also seen a gynae for the bleeding (which has now stopped, thankfully). I’m due my period in 2-3 days and getting most of my usual PMS symptoms so not hopeful for this cycle, either. It’s quite frustrating and upsetting - but I’m sure lots of you in this thread can relate! 🤞 for success for everyone soon 🤞🤞

@Magix86 good luck with your blood results. Do you have the NHS app and access to your full medical record? You can often see your results on there way earlier than waiting for a letter or call with a GP etc.

@Harper02 sorry to hear it was a BFN for you this month

@TwinkleCupcakes yep had all the tests and a meeting with a NHS fertility consultant who just said to keep trying for another 6 months then go straight to IVF. I've booked a private appointment for next week to see if there is anything further to be done i.e HyCoSy, progesterone etc.
