at the stigma of 'writing it down'. Not sure what my cervix feels like either, though saw it on a scan when I can a biopsy for a dodgy smear (felt I had to look, the nurse was so insistent!).
Good weekends to all! Mine is a working one unfortuantely - I'm marking A level exam scripts to get some extra dosh (pay Next card off!), but will need lots of reasons to procrastinate, so will no doubt be around!
NL, lol at 'if I don't get a chance to get on' ...we'll see ...

Hello all

NJ - very jealous of your snow . As an Australian I get ridiculously excited about the thought of it and have been known to run around outside in my PJ's after a smattering of snow fell in SW London last year.

BYMY - sorry to hear about your job woes. Hard to TTC and enjoy it when you can't even get basic job security. Buggers!

I remember reading an article about a woman who took folic acid every day of her life (along with other vitamins). A surgeon when doing some surgery on her (can't for the life of me remember what for) said that at the age of 60 she had the womb of a 25 year old and he put it down to her daily intake of folic acid I've been taking it ever since reading that which is now about 4 years. Can't hurt...

Cosmogirl · 01/02/2008 21:10

Hi Cinnamontam,

Is this your first time on this thread? If so, welcome, we are a friendly bunch Things move so fast some days that I lose track..
That is an amazing story about the woman who took folic acid her whole life. I am going to start in a couple of weeks when I come off the pill.

cinnamontam · 01/02/2008 21:39

Hi Cosmogirl - I jumped on board a couple of pages ago but you ladies like to chat so it would definitely have got lost in the chunter

I just wish the folic acid meant my boobs or bum were those of a 25 year old. I can live with an aged looking womb

Cosmogirl · 01/02/2008 22:03

So you did! I've just looked down the thread....sounds like you are a lady with a plan - I like it! Hope it all comes together for you.
at the folic acid comment. At least when you've had a baby you can blame body woes on pregnancy - me.....it's all chocolate! Not as impressive....

Teuch · 02/02/2008 01:41

I like the idea of young innards...when people comment on how you look, you can just say "you should see my womb!!"

STOP withe the reluctant cervix feelers...I know you have tried, and you are just not sure about what you are finding... I was the same

Right, this post has taken so long due to correcting my drunken mis-spellings!!

Looks like DH is having a wobble

I don't know what I am going to do if he says no TTC, I have put everything from the MC into TTC'ing.

I feel like it is happening all over again.

Diege · 02/02/2008 13:49

Oh no Natalie, what has he said? I'm sure if you've both been of the same opinion previously, and nothing has changed since then, then it is just a blip? Let us know how you get on , and lots of hugs...keep strong, we are here for you
TEUCH... how did you know? . It was just the once I promise, and I swear I'll never 'go there' again .
Good weekends to all xx

NatalieJane · 02/02/2008 14:37

Nope, it's OK. In fact better than OK. I said when I joined the thread that DH hadn't completely said yes, but I'd win him round. He sort of laid out some reasons to and reasons not to have a 3rd.

We agreed to give it till March to let me get my head sorted after the miscarriage and for some of the point's against doing so, sorted through (just things like how we would pysically cope with a 3rd in a house we barely fit in now, and a new car for 3 seats etc.) But, he is having a bath and called me up 'for a chat', I thought he had decided no, but he has said yes!!!!!!!! May here we come It does now mean I have to give him a blow job, LOL was one of the more comical points he had! LOL

He said YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

Diege · 02/02/2008 14:46

Excellent news!!! . LOl at blow-job bargaining - thought that was just my dh!

NatalieJane · 02/02/2008 15:38

LOL I have got to pick up some tips, I am not a good blow job giver, though DH says he likes it, I am not comfortable doing it, do I dare start a thread?

Cosmogirl · 02/02/2008 16:49

Yeah why not?...I am not a fan of BJs and thankfully neither is DH (how lucky I am?) However I do love to receive oral myself, so if he was into it I would obviously oblige - it's only good manners after all We did say nothing was TMI on this thread...

cinnamontam · 02/02/2008 18:30

I remember a great mate of mine giving me some tips on BJ's (he's gay) but for gods sake I can't remember any of them except tickling their balls while doing it

YAY for NJ - that's marvellous news. You and I both in May then?

NatalieJane · 02/02/2008 19:32

Yes TMI is not allowed on this thread (the acronym, not the info!!!)

Also very much enjoy a 'lickerotami' as DH calls it LOL I will remember the tickling balls bit

largeginandtonic · 03/02/2008 05:28

Sexual favours?! a universal language then . Blow job tips too? Now if this had been bought up on the May postnatal thread i would have had all fingers pointed at me wouldnt i Tam? Nice to see someone else has a healthy sordid mind too.

I am checking my CM too, think i have had glue recently but my wee sticks show no surge.

The baby is up feeding, he does not want to go back to sleep... I DO

cinnamontam · 03/02/2008 08:08

tee hee...I learn long ago to stand back when you and SOH had the smutty spotlight on

What do you mean by glue? Is that clear egg white like discharge? Man I need to read up more on what happens to body when ovulating cause I have a 35 day cycle so not sure when it happens for me.

NatalieJane · 03/02/2008 10:54

Job done

Diege · 03/02/2008 11:11

You mean blow job done? .
Morning everyone by the way Was thinking about this thread last night, and almost mentioned the latest conversation to dh, but them thought better...I sort of do them half-heartedly, but pretty impossible at the moment with blocked up nose (my excuse anyway)...
dh talking dds to MIL for afternoon, to give me a chance to get my marking done . I spy some good stuff on TV though (anyone else like trashy stuff like 'The Hills, ch4? )..

NatalieJane · 03/02/2008 11:19

It wasn't too bad, even though DS1 decided to shout down the stairs whilst we were ermm..... busy LOL

I am very hurty this morning, we had quite a session we didn't get to bed till gone 1am!! Will save you details

LMAO, DH is giving me funny looks because I am laughing to myself LOL

Never mind the crap telly Diege, get on with the marking! And no, I don't do trashy.... telly that is!

Diege · 03/02/2008 14:03

I feel tired NJ just thinking about your 'activities' / LOVE your other thread btw, your positive take on life is so infectious . Think my dh is looking forward very much to ttc - I go right off it when pregnant (he has to have what I crudely term [look away if easily offended] 'assisted wanks' )so is gearing himself up to a few months of pretty much unlimited sex .
Right, I'm not skiving from marking (I feel for all the 17 year olds whose lives I'm ruining ); just having a cuppa and demolishing dh's choccy that he foolishly left in the fridge!

tooyoung · 03/02/2008 14:31

Hi everyone...this page looks like it has yellow measles, nice to see everyone having such a laugh!

I have been abstaining from mumsnet because it was getting a bit guilty and furtive...kept deleting the history from the computer! It didn't help though, I find that I literally can't think of anything else but wanting a baby. More guilt, should have more interest in living life, but feels like having a family would be life enough.

The earliest we can ttc is the end of this year, and that is probably sooner than db is expecting. I just don't think I can wait any longer than that!

[Hi Cosmo by the way...congrats on new job. We didn't get a cat-as-baby-substitute yet!]

Cosmogirl · 03/02/2008 16:02

Hi tooyoung!

I'm thinking end 08 too, so you should have some company when you do decide to take the plunge.

We are all so sensible and restrained to be able to wait - most people I know would just say 'to hell with it - let's just do it' - so I think we deserve a pat on the back. Hopefully a cute bundle of joy will be our reward before too long .

kayzr · 03/02/2008 16:15

Hello. NJ told me about this thread so I thought I'd come and join in. We haven't decided when to try yet but it'll probably be after July as we're going on holiday. But once you start thinking about it you cant really stop.

Diege · 03/02/2008 18:04

Hi and welcome, TOOYOUNG and KAYZR Agree, whatever date you set to start, once you start thinking about it, it all becomes quite all-consuming! As NJ says, there are no limits on the info given out on this thread
Hi COSMO! Agree, we are all very restrained and sensible in our planning ...I very nearly chanced it this month, but I do not want another autumn baby [forward 2 years when I will still be ttc and grateful just to get pregnant!]. Seriously though, have been getting a bit anxious about my age after reading a few threads this afternoon (I'm 37). Am thinking April after all now (ok, I only moved it a month!!!)

NatalieJane · 03/02/2008 20:02

Welcome back TooYoung and hiya Kayzr

I'll find the list tomorrow

PMSL at assisted wanks, with DS1 I couldn't go a few hours without wanting sex, again! DH used to come home from work and insist he was too tired, till I came down butt naked and he changed his mind! DS2 I went right off it, so we will see!

We took the boys to Toys R Us today for a treat each, couldn't help having a very innocent wander around Babies R Us whilst I accidently lost DH and the boys for a minute, and some how, someone put a BRU catalogue in the trolley after I found them again, tut
