Just a thread for any ladies ttc after a miscarriage! Nice to get some support from people going through the same thing. So I had a MMC at ten weeks nearly three weeks ago now. I'm still getting faint positive on tests. My ovulation tests are still all over the place possibly due to the HCG still being in my system. So not totally accurate right now. So I'm currently stuck in limbo land either waiting for ovulation or my period 🤔 any ladies want to join the journey?!?!

@calimc83 glad your feeling a bit better. It is hard when things pop up brings all the feelings back. It's stil early days let your hormones settle 🤞 it's a hard road but I'm determined to get there 🙌 x

@calimc83 Ah thanks for telling me that, that is good to know. I've also heard there is no cliff, but my anxiety whispers "but what if for me there is". Ouch the shower.....does she know what you've gone through or no? It has all certainly made me think about the baby shower I had (8 years ago lol, and not my idea!) and how completely unaware I was that people might've been sitting there with all kinds of feelings about it, and it makes me feel really sad.

Has anyone got any advice on this at all please? So I just had a chemical at 4+4 days spotted Wednesday bled Thursday - Saturday and spotted a little Sunday only when wiping, I've just been to the toilet and I had white cm with streaks of blood in? I've had negative pregnancy tests and negative ovulation tests I'm so confused?

Hopingforarainbow27 · 12/01/2022 12:39

5th cycle. I took 3 months off to look after myself and get my cycles healthier. @PamelaDoov

@calimc83 I started Chinese herbs to make my cycles healthier and started acupuncture too

PamelaDoov · 12/01/2022 12:57

Just did another PT and it’s even fainter than yesterday, can just about see a shadow of a line when held right up against the bathroom light. Hurry up and go negative!

Ganesh2022 · 12/01/2022 14:09

@arianasky no advice but just to say I'm really sorry :(

I think acupuncture helped me conceive, too, and while I can't prove bleeding wouldn't have started anyway, he helped me "get it started" and it did right after the session...

Ganesh2022 · 12/01/2022 14:10

@PamelaDoov ugh, the kind of line that in other circumstances is so encouraging/tantalising. Really wish there was just a way to wipe the slate clean.

PamelaDoov · 12/01/2022 14:14

@Ganesh2022 I know, normally it would be the other way around and I’d be giving myself a headache trying to desperately find a line! To be fair, this isn’t a line that would make me excited that I was definitely pregnant. But I don’t think it’s 100% negative.

calimc83 · 12/01/2022 14:36

@Hopingforarainbow27 Thanks! Interesting that you took time off...I feel like I'm too old to do that 😩 xx

calimc83 · 12/01/2022 14:37

@Hopingforarainbow27 how do u think the acupuncture helped? I've often considered it but not really looked into it too much x

Hopingforarainbow27 · 12/01/2022 14:41

@calimc83 yeah the herbalist lady told me to take three months to balance my hormones because there's obviously something just not right. It could have been unhealthy egg or sperm so took 3 months to get everything healthy as you possibly can. Sometimes it could just be "bad luck" but I wasn't going to risk it and just did what I could.

I'm not sure if acupuncture helped, I'm very skeptical about everything but I felt so relaxed after it so I kept going back. I've got another appt on Tuesday.

calimc83 · 12/01/2022 14:43

@Ganesh2022 @Skl2021 Right...I've been pestering my fertility consultant friend today. She specifically told me to step away from the OPK's and just DTD regularly through out the cycle. She said best chance of conceiving is sex 2-3 days before ovulation. Refered me to this as well x

calimc83 · 12/01/2022 14:51

@Hopingforarainbow27 right.yeah that makes sense. Thanks, will look into them x

Hopingforarainbow27 · 12/01/2022 14:53

Look up Gin-sen London. They do a free consultation. It definitely helped me and my period went from 35 to 28 @calimc83

calimc83 · 12/01/2022 14:54

@Hopingforarainbow27 will do! X

Ganesh2022 · 12/01/2022 14:59

Interesting, I went to one acupuncturist who said wait 3 months (didn't feel I had time, though I'd love to wait a year tbh) and one who said try right away. So I might split the difference...I think, barring medical necessity, for me I need to do what causes the least stress, though not sure what that is lol that's the problem. I don't think I have it in my to dtd regularly throughout the cycle Blush, blahhhhh. Wish I did!

calimc83 · 12/01/2022 15:08

@Ganesh2022 I'm with you the the least stressful option! Did they say why to take a break? Is it to let hormones settle? X

Ganesh2022 · 12/01/2022 15:25

She said it was to "make the body strong" and he said there can be an advantage to starting sooner in terms of heightened fertility, but neither said there was a risk to the alternative. I think it was more for emotions and overall health. He has known me for years, where she is someone I tried out as it was much nearer to home, and I wonder if maybe he knows that for my anxiety I won't be able to just sit on it, where she thought she was talking to a rational human being lol Hmm

theblueflowers · 12/01/2022 17:03

@Ganesh2022 re your post earlier this morning- I have bought an ovusense- the one you put inside you as I have wildly irregular cycles (I'm averaging 55 days!)

Haven't used it yet, but hoping it might give me a bit more of an insight. I have tried OKPs but I I tend to get a few surges in a cycle so I'm never quite sure when I ovulate.

Ganesh2022 · 12/01/2022 17:25

@theblueflowers thx, will you update us re whether it's useful? Have you always had irregular cycles? I used to and mine stabilised, but obviously not sure what will happen now. Myo-inositol worked miracles in stabilising my cycles--in case that helps anyone!

arianasky · 12/01/2022 18:00

Thank you @Ganesh2022

theblueflowers · 12/01/2022 18:59

@Ganesh2022 I've had nightmare irregular cycles since coming off the implant in August 2019; one was 73 days! To be honest I was shocked that I could even get pregnant- it took us around 6 months but I only had 3 periods in that time! I'm hoping that ovusense will actually give me a clearer idea of my cycle, although I am a little worried about how it might take over my life...
I have always suspected that I may have PCOS as I have some of the markers, but something reassuring to come from this experience is that from my scan they could see that I had no actual cysts on my ovaries. They said that could mean it's an androgen imbalance that I may look into.

Can I ask what brand and form of myo-inositol you were using? I was taking conceive plus capsules which I think does contain some measure of it, but they are not cheap and you have to take 4 a day! I'm not sure if they did help or if it was just chance, but it can't hurt to try again.

Ganesh2022 · 12/01/2022 19:06

@theblueflowers I take Viridian brand; I do have PCOS..well, hormones are (were?) normal but cysts on ovaries. I used to have nightmare cycles, anywhere from regular to every 3 months and one time a record, ironic, 9 months without a cycle. I know not the magic cure for everyone but since starting this stuff I've had regular-ish 31-35 days.

calimc83 · 12/01/2022 19:08

@arianasky how are you holding up? X

arianasky · 12/01/2022 21:05

@calimc83 not great tbh, this one has really hit me, it's like I didn't grieve properly in October and suppressed my feelings and they both have hit me now together 😔 I feel such a letdown it's horrible. I'm now just getting a brown tinged discharge when I wipe, I'm hoping that it goes soon and I can take my mind off it. How are you?
