No laughing now but I did choose a nice pair of nice white knickers this morning as that is usually enough to get AF to make an appearance MrsE125

I was going to ask what an earth you did on your night out but perhaps we don't want to hear the end of that anecdote!!

Good luck mibbes!

MrsEi25 · 15/01/2008 16:36

haha JB i was drunk-luckily so i obviously felt no shame!! i also fell over in the selfsame pants later that night and covered them in grey water so they are definitely not my lucky pants they have an almost permanant home in the bottom of my wardrobe!!

07mumstheword · 15/01/2008 16:42

Mibbes Good luck with the testing I will keep my fingers crossed for a BFP.

digitalgirl · 15/01/2008 17:45

bucky hope you're feeling better today honey.

JB start temping now, if AF is a few days away then you may get see your high temp range, and should also get a temp drop on the day AF comes. Then you'll know how high your temp has to go to show you've ov'ed.

MOB digibean (i like i like) has been very furtive today. no more symptoms (temperamental little b*gger), except continuing AF-style twinges, and a little bit of 'flecking' which is like spotting, but mere flecks of brown in my CM. I'm hoping that is remnants of implantation. am playing it positive though, because worrying won't make a jot of difference (she says 'now'). Just need to get past this weekend and I'll definitely be late.

PicknMix fingers (and sphincters) crossed...

mibbes GOOD LUCK with your testing!!!

MrsEi you're keeping this thread lovely and sparkly...but I'm sure there will be lots more ladies to come and take over the mantel once you get your surprise BFP, somehow I don't think they'll ever be able to replace your amazing fortune-telling skills.

Thanks to all TTC grads who've dropped by sarahn & coolkat & sweetbean & shazza & any others I've missed because the posts are flying on here right now!

Mibbes ????? I do hope it's good news. x

mibbes · 15/01/2008 18:59

BFN - asbolutely gutted . Used a CB (non-digital) but nothing came up in the control window so dp has perusaded me to buy a CB digital to retest, not sure I can bear it in writing though

07mumstheword · 15/01/2008 19:02

Ooh Mibbes I'm so sorry

Your DH could be right though if nothing came up in the control line as that could mean a faulty test? I will still keep my fingers crossed for you.

mibbes · 15/01/2008 19:03

On a lighter note as I was reading the FAQs on Clearblue website I pmsl through the tears at one of the questions:
"What if I splash the windows with urine?"
I actually thought that meant the bathroom windows and was shocked that anyone would pee so carelessly !!

madoldbird · 15/01/2008 19:10

Oh Mibbes Poo. But surely it is faulty if nothing came up in the control window???? Try again, and keep us posted when you feel able. Avoid peeing on the windows though! (It only stains the blinds)

MrsEi25 · 15/01/2008 19:18

i would retest hun x if nowt came onto the control window it is prob faulty or you didnt provide a big enough specimen iyswim < {sad] sorry for causing all this excitement i feel so guilty> i hope the next one is a nice BFP for you xx

Bucky2008 · 15/01/2008 19:26

OK, so I couldn't hide any longer... Mibbes...maybe it was faulty??? Send DH out to Sainsburys?

I was going to try and cut down on MN and chill out a bit but I barely lasted a day and I was out of the office on site too so couldn't surf.

Thank you all for being so sweet AGAIN . It is like a train you can't get off! I don't really think i can stop trying, like MOB I am practically an expert on my cycle now and actually feel ovulation sometimes so not BDing would be difficult. But still, am not looking forward to this month. I might look up reflexology so I have something nice to look forward to.

LOL at MrsEi fortune telling skills and crystal (sp?) ball in bed. I am still very impressed though, the DG dream will go down in MN history.

SarahNH thanks for the words of support, whilst it was rubbish that you had to wait 11 months it does give me some hope!

On a lighter note, I can no longer cry in my house as the Finn dog has taken to jumping up on me so he can lick off the tears. I think he likes them cos there salty! So I end up in hysterical laughter because he attacks me...

Hi DG & digibean, hope you had a good day today.

07mumstheword · 15/01/2008 19:35

Bucky I'm glad you're back.

MrsEi25 · 15/01/2008 19:38

Bucky2008 · 15/01/2008 19:40

Hi there cycle buddy. I checked out the thermometers in Boots today but couldn't tell if they go to two decimal places and am also not sure if to just let nature take its course this month. Although DP has already informed me he wishes to see the again this month [shock}!!!

MrsEi25 · 15/01/2008 19:42

bucky and others who may be interested...
what dya think of a mumsnet sweepstake?? we could put all the names in a hat and pick one out and the only rule is that if your name is called you MUST get a BFP...like bingo for the BDers...BDoooo!!!

ScaryHairy · 15/01/2008 20:05

I hope you're feeling a bit better today Bucky. Maybe this cycle you could try lots of relaxing things - massages, manicures, reflexology etc. Hey, it can't hurt and might even help!

Mibbes your test sounds faulty. Am impressed with your steely resolve to wait this long before testing. I wish I had some willpower... Anyway, I have hopes for you now you've been dreamed about by Mrsei.

Hi DG and bean. Don't worry about the lack of symptoms. Other than being a bit tired I never had any when I was pg with my daughter and everything went pretty smoothly.

And hello to anyone I've missed, including visiting grads.

Nothing to report here. Fertilityfriend (on one setting anyway) has decided that my chart looks triphasic which might be promising but might mean nothing. I have had a few little twinges today but that's it. I did another test this morning (can you see a trend here?) - BFN of course - but since FF puts me at between CD8 and CD10 depending on the settings it might be a bit too early. I'll try again tomorrow (throwing good money after bad). Annoyingly today's test was a CB non-digital and there were a few blue dots where the vertical part of the cross would have been had it been a BFP. If I put all the lights on, lean towards the window over the loo and squint it looked like it might be a bit positive. Does anyone have any more straws for me to clutch at...?

twinklingfairy · 15/01/2008 20:42

Hello all, I haven't had a chance to read through properly yet but .....
WOWEE!! DG You got a BFP!!!
What will we do without our oracle??

Now I will go and update myself with everyone elses news.

07mumstheword · 15/01/2008 21:08

Bucky perhaps the relaxed approach is best for you at the moment, I do hope so. Some of this biology & testing lark is quite complicated for a simple girl like me. I've thrown in relaxation in the form of Reflexolgy on Thursday so will let you know how that goes. Do you think you might put your name back on the list in the waiting room or are you gonna keep a low profile?

07mumstheword · 15/01/2008 21:09

Hi twinkling nice to see you back how are things? Did it go as well as could be expected yesterday?

mibbes · 15/01/2008 21:35

Twinkling good to see you back, hope all went well. AF late yet, or any signs ?

Ladies, thank you so much for your kind words. I found an asda cheapie in my drawer and used that and again got BFN .
MrsEi don't be silly, my hopes were sky high before your dream. Still, it gives me hope for the coming months. I can save the CBDs for then
Have no idea what is going on with my body as have never been this late since AF regulated post-pill. Maybe the excitement of santa has delayed things. Either way, just want AF so can get on with next cycle. Is it possible it was a CP or do you always get AF straight afterwards ? Don't understand why I had mild cramps from cd25 for about a week, boob ache/tingling (which I have never had before) and dehydration - kind of wish I'd tested earlier in case it was and missed it... any advice ladies ?

07mumstheword · 15/01/2008 21:43

mibbes I've had two chemical PG's since May 07 and my bleeds tended to be up to a wk after I had a BFP. I was told at the hospital that if you do have a BFP and a chemical PG follows then the hormone remains in your body for up to 2 wks so I would have thought it would have shown on your tests tonight. I'm sorry I'm not sure how late you are? should have checked first.

So sorry it wasn't the outcome we had all hoped for.

07mumstheword · 15/01/2008 21:45

Actually sorry one of my bleeds was 10 days after not that that makes much difference now just don't want to mislead people with my inaccuracies.

MrsEi25 · 15/01/2008 21:47

mibbes i think this month is the month for annoyingly long cycles as up to now so many of us have had them- me included!! dont worry i am still waitin for AF to kick in properly and it has been 5 days of light spotting!! new symptom tho!!... i have started havin sharp pains and then a little gush enough to need to change my pantyliner but nowhere near enough to need a proper pad iyswim!!(sorry TMI) i have had about 6 pains in the last 3 hours!! i also feel rather dizzy!! that might be down to the 1/2 a tub of skinny cow completely mintal icecream i have eaten tho... but what dya make of that then??
xx ei xx

mibbes · 15/01/2008 21:53

Thanks ladies - agree MTW lots of late AF this month - I think xmas has a lot of answer for ! No idea what is going on with you though, she can be a teasing evil witch - if she is going to come she should do it properly or just Bugger Off !
aaahhh now that made me feel better
