dg they sound like very good symptoms.. are you going to be able to hold out til saturday??xxxx

JollyBear · 05/12/2007 11:22

DG - Those symptoms sound very promising indeed! Will you be able to hold out till Saturday?! Fingers crossed for you!

I think you are right re the bding, I'll jump on DH when he gets back from work just in case

GG - Sorry to hear you think AF is on her way. A NYE BFP would be a great start to 2008 though - just ignore the squeeky bed and go for it! Hopefully your in-laws are a bit hard of hearing

digitalgirl · 05/12/2007 11:24

cbcb have done some research:

Traditional 5th wedding anniversary gifts have a theme of Wood.
A contemporary or modern 5th anniversary gift has a theme of Silverware.
The flowers associated with the 5th anniversary are Daisies

The Gemstone list shows Turquoise associated with this Wedding Anniversary

(ps my last cycle was 50 days, so am used to hanging around like a lemon )

Hello? Can I come in...?

I am usually in the ttc waiting room and have lurked a bit here but didn't want to join in as I have never been sure when I was actually on the 2ww (took a while for cycles to settle)

Anyway, the sparkly lights and Christmassy aromas have lured me in....

TwilightSurfer · 05/12/2007 12:05

Morning everyone.

DG your symptoms and my symptoms are THE SAME. High temps consistently all week, four days of watery cm, three days of mild nausea, plus a high cervix and a bit of tummy tugging.

Today is 24 days post final day of MC. EWCM appeared on days 12 & 13. BDed day 14. So potentially 10DPO.

I'd like to hold out (testingwise) for as long as possible, a week or two even (doubt that will happen). I don't want to start "worrying" for obvious reasons, although I'm already worrying...may have to cut the computer cable and go on vacation.

TwilightSurfer · 05/12/2007 12:15

Will add ... my symptoms are probably all just my body sorting things out post-mc and I'm just being wishful.

OKAY AF WHENEVER YOUR READY, COME ON.

hidingbehindthesofa · 05/12/2007 12:28

oh my, twilight and DG - can't wait to hear.....

thanks for your message shazza - i've got a first response OPK so don't know if it shows peaks, but it says on the packet that it shows the LH surges and then you're to go at it like rabbits for the next 24-36 hours. which sounds like a plan to me- anyway, i'll see how i feel when i get there as to whether i use it or not.

07mumstheword · 05/12/2007 12:38

DG & twilight Sounds promising.

Missushohoho Welcome I hang around here all month now because the people are so lovely

hiding I've used Clearblue OPK the last 2 months and have discovered I OV CD10 then CD9 which I never would have guessed so I think OPK's are great.

Sarah Glad you found us. You'll need a dating scan to find out then you are due then.

Gryffin I am so of your trip and I really hope you get the positive news you deserve for the new year.

Shazza Hi! I'm now thinking of testing somewhere between this coming wkend and next

Shazza2002 · 05/12/2007 13:20

MTW I'm impressed at your restraint. What DPO will you be this weekend then?

Hiding Peaks on CBFM are just the same as 'smily faces' on CBD and whatever you get on first response. They all detect the LH surge, meaning OV should happen within next 12-36 hours. I found it useful as I would have presumed I OV a lot earlier in the month, so to discover I don't actually until CD18/CD19, helped lots. Quite a lot infact

Now sarahn has joined the ante-natel thread. She's not sniding off and please don't hate me for taking her away. We want to remain here until you're all ready to move over

Shazza2002 · 05/12/2007 13:25

You asked about symptoms DG You say you have watery CM, I have lots of that too TMI

I had nausea 3-4 days before I found out, which I'm not convinced was probably caused by implantation. Haven't any since, although very early days so know there is still time.

Increased sense of smell, which is a nightmare on the tube when you're pushed up against somebody that's had garlic/beer the night before.

Stomach cramps, very much like AF ones.

Sore boobies, I now know all about windy nips

Headaches, like hangover ones but without the enjoyment of the previous nights drinking to blame

Apart from ALL that I'm feeling great

poppysocks · 05/12/2007 14:43

DG and Twilightsurfer - all sounds so good for you.

I'm CD24 (10 DPO) and wish I could share your symptoms. I think my boobs are, maybe, a bit more sore than yesterday. That's about it though. That was my only early symptom with DD though so I'm taking some comfort/optimism from this. I definitely had stomach ache on Saturday and then pretty bad cramps for 3 or 4 hours on Sunday (7/8DPO).

I'm not temping though so don't know about that and cervix v. low. A spot of googling has reassured me on that, but that is also AF sign so... Oh and also have a spot brewing on my chin. Sure AF sign for me.

Good to see you here still, shazza and sarahnh, keeping us positive!

sarahnh · 05/12/2007 15:00

poppy socks, i got a bfp on cd 24!!! I had a bad stomach ache that left me bed bound (very unusual for me) a week last monday so i think they are very good symptoms!!!xxxx

poppysocks · 05/12/2007 15:09

I'm really in 2 minds. On the one hand: OV took me a bit by surprise so we didn't make the most of it (IYSWIM ) and not much EWCM, don't really have any symptoms and may well be imagining the sore boobs.

On the other hand: Did have the sore tummy at around the right sort of time and think boobs are more sore than normal.

My hand is twitching for the test.... If only I was more certain in one direction of the other I think I'd be able to resist more easily!

madoldbird · 05/12/2007 15:29

Hello! Have found the new thread! Can't believe there's so many messages already. Thank you everyone for your messages yesterday / today about MIL. DG yes, it is lovely to be able to come on here and talk to such supportive people.

santasmissus Love the name idea - thank you - am going to go and work out how to change it in a minute - haven't done it before!

Well, bit of a surprise this morning - AF turned up. Can't believe how upset i felt, i think because, as i said yesterday, i so wanted to be able to give DH a bit of good news at this time. CD25 as well, never, ever had such a short cycle before. Don't know what on earth is going on. Better go over to the other thread and move myself to the top of the list.

GG pleased to hear about your re-booked holiday. And just go for it at the in-laws - if they want a grandchild they'll have to put up with it! How about some ear plugs for them both for christmas?!

Missushohoho welcome - don't worry about when you are on the 2ww, come here any time - i don't think many of us actually leave at any point in our cycles!

Bucky am trying to think how to make your name more festive...

to everyone i haven't mentioned!

madoldturkey · 05/12/2007 15:39

Gobble gobble

What do you reckon? Does it suit me???

abbyscoffedallthemincepiesmeg · 05/12/2007 15:54

Hello all!!

DG - I am holding your grapefruit suggestion responsible for the - frankly - horrifying amounts of ewcm I'm producing at the moment. I'm having to wear sanitary towels for it!! Eurgh!!!! (sorry tmi). If I don't conceive this month, I'm buying shares in Always - this is going to get expensive.

Where are the festive emoticons? They were here last year?

Hello cycle buddies - hope you're all getting lots of b-d action . I'm still going every day, though am feeling rather poorly at the moment so it's taking some effort. Even DH is complaining - we really have become lazy people!

digitalgirl · 05/12/2007 15:55

love it MOB! or should that be MOT for now

very sorry about AF turning up extra early, how dare she?
small consolation, but at least you can get on with the next cycle and put this one behind you.

Found you

Very festive, I like it!

Feel shure AF is on her way too. Bizarre though getting spotting on Thursday and Friday last week. Sore boobs have calmed down a LOT, and now I have a low niggle that feels like AF pains.

Bummer

abbyscoffedallthemincepiesmeg · 05/12/2007 15:59

DG pmsl at your enthusiasm!!!
