Hi - any one else on cd22 and desperately wishing for just one symptom to appear? cos I am and the waiting is killing me. This is my first month at trying to conceive and this must be the longest two weeks ever!

Anyone had no symptoms in the first two weeks after conception but still got a bfp?

Bucky2007 · 04/12/2007 21:11

urghhh put that mulled wine away my head still hurts from yesterday . No but really, how lovely and Christmassy it is here I especially like the icicle-like fairy lights dg very swish. I am living with guilt today, my poor egg was probably pickled last night. I will probably give birth to a bottle of Bombay Sapphire in nine months . Better move those vol au vents Santasmissus I feel a comfort eating evening coming on . I however have brought a MASSIVE Christmas tree (its not real but is very realistic look at it...I wanted us to use it again next year when we are all writing about our three month old babies .

Nice to see you Coolcat hope you can come back and hang out with us again soon.

Anyway I have a question. I got my smiley on Sunday afternoon. I bd'd on Sunday night and Monday morning, but was too ratarsed to do anything last night. Feel free to look over here disapprovingly, I am very bad, especially after my whole ten commandments spiel!! . Anyway, tonight is probably too late isn't it? I will BD again tonight but do you think I have missed the boat? . This month I was really aware of the egg hatching it was strange. I knew before the that it was happening. Funny how aware you get...

Twilight nice to see you, are you going to be Twilightsleigher for Chrimbo? I particularly like madoldturkey lol. You can't really make "Bucky" festive...

Bucky2007 · 04/12/2007 21:13

How festive it is over here!

Good to hear from you Coolkat. Hope you are ok.

See from the old thread that things are looking promising, DG. Fingers crossed!

Sorry to hear about your MIL MOB. Fingers crossed too for some good news for you now.

Bucky - I have been scared to confess to the last few days of my egg pickling. Seeing some old friends for the first time in ages, just before they move abroad meant that it wasn't a teetoal evening on Saturday. Yesterday and today, with big work stuff on there has been rather a lot of champagne flowing. Just lovely under other circumstances, but I feel rather guilty now. Hey ho.

In terms of symptoms, I'm not really sure. Terrible stomach pains over the weekend and really tired today but I think both are far more likely to be due to the stress of the past couple of days.

Think I may have sore boobs though...Fingers crossed. (What funny things we now cross our fingers about!)

Hootie · 04/12/2007 22:29

Hi Everyone,

Was reading through the last few days - dg they have said to me that my progesterone should be above 30 to show that i've ovulated. the fsh/lh should be as low as possible in the day 3 test, wheni had a day 21 test i still havent ovulated, but my fsh and lh were still low, which is good according to my GP friend.

07mumstheword · 04/12/2007 22:57

Hi everyone, how lovely and cosy in here.

Sorry MOB to hear about MIL, how
I love the madoldturkey idea

Bucky I don't have any answers as have been pondering the same thing. This TTC lark has to be so precise I got fri and sat and bedded up to Sun night and been feeling guilty today that we didn't have another shot at it last night. But if it is true that the little swimmers can last up to 5 days then hopefully we have done enough.
And by the way your pickling last night may have done the trick you never know. There are so many people that drink far too much not realising they are PG and everything is fine so don't worry.

Today my big question is how the heck are there so many people on this earth when it seems to be so bloody difficult to get PG.

TwilightSurfer · 05/12/2007 03:05

Twilightsleigher ...I'll have to think on that . Bucky you've definitely got me thinking CHRISTMAS now.

Tonight I'm just going to enjoy the lights here on the thread because tomorrow I may be spilling a whole list of symptoms. Silly me...later today I'll be posting my list. UK/USA time difference gets confusing during the twilight hours.

TwilightSkier
TwilightIceSkater
TwilightSnowBoarder
TwilightCowTipper grin

I'll be dreaming of a holiday name all night.
See you all on the sunny side.
Night

Shazza2002 · 05/12/2007 09:02

I've found you.

Don't worry santasmissus You don't get rid of me that easily. I haven't had the dissapointment of many BFN's, so I'm not gonna pretend I know what you're going through, but hopefully I can make you feel better with some positive vibes and babydust
* Bucky I had my peaks on Cd18/Cd19. Did the deed on Cd16,18 & 20. Convinced it was the actual Cd18 (day of the peak) that worked, so if you Bd on Sun & Mon one of those was bound to catch, don't they say it's better for the fishes to be waiting for egg ??

MTW of course you don't have to wait that long. I think I was nearer 10dpo, I'd rather stupidly done a test on 6dpo and of course it was a BFN, what the heck did I expect to find that early

I feel very christmassy today and looking forward to Take That on Friday, if I manage to stay awake that late

hidingbehindthesofa · 05/12/2007 09:39

hey shazza,
when you say peaks, did you measure with a OPK thingy or were you charting yor temps? (sorry if you've been asked this before. i've just bought an OPK but think i would rather chart my temps first to get an idea. i'm a pretty standard 28/30day cycle.
anyway - f didn't say hello and see you soon to coolkat. we're tninking of you on here.
I'm on CD 2 and really looking forward to some more BD'ing once AF goes back to her place

JollyBear · 05/12/2007 09:53

Ooooh it's festive in here! Hello all! I've brought some Stollen and Gluhwein.

I know I said yesterday that I was settling in for the 2ww, but I'm confused as today I have EWCM. I haven't had any this cycle I don't think. I had a bit of cramping on Sunday and Monday and BDed Monday morn . Sooo ladies should I do some more BDing or do you think the window of opportunity has passed?!

I'm very confused! It seems late in my cycle to ovulate. They are usually 31 days.

Shazza2002 · 05/12/2007 10:02

Hi hiding

I used CBFM, so tells you high days, then detects your LH surge and gives you peak days

HTH

GryffinGirl · 05/12/2007 10:04

Morning ladies! Gosh, this place looks lovely and festive!

Well, AF is definitely on her way, but she is not being very quick about it . I have just realised that our key TTC days this month are when we are staying with my in-laws for pre-Christmas dinner with their creaky wooden floors, walls like tissue paper and extra-squeeky bed .

Bucky - maybe it's not ideal to have gone on a gin-fest, but I know I have done something similar at exactly the same time and felt guilty. Don;t worry though. TTC fate is unaffected by throwing caution to the wind now and again IYKWIM. What will be will be and you had a damn fine day out with mates, and relaxed, so it can only be a good thing to have fun . cbcb is right - you've probably done the best thing in just having fun. Did you get a dress?

ccolkat - we miss you and come back soon when you are ready

Twinklefairy - get yourself to your rightful place at the top of the Christmas tree

hello to twilightsleigher if that is your new Christmas name!

hiding - I think that is the book I have to get. It might tell me somehting I can't find out on MN, but doubt it with you knowledgable lot kicking around and Prefessor DG to advise

Hi to Hootie BamBam and 07MTW and everyone else.

Santasmissus - any sign of AF yet? Finbgers crossed that you don;t succumb this month, cycle buddy

p.s. forgot to say that I am off for our re-booked holiday on 29th December for two weeks, so won't be around from 21 Dec when I go home for Christmas until mid-Jan!! How will I cope without MN??!!! . We're going to be in New York on Hogmanay (New Years Eve) which is also CD28 for me! Now what an exciting New Year it would be if I got a BFP.......!!! Sorry, I am getting carried away

sarahnh · 05/12/2007 10:48

morning girls, i've found you!! well its definitely very chrismassy here!!!

i am feeling a bit in limbo, keep symptom spotting even though i don't have to!!! sarah still in massive shock so i'm definitely hanging around!!! i cannot even figure out when i'm due cos my cycles were all over the place!!!!

gg not over till the fat lady sings... ny for new years, sound heavenly and romantic, perfect time for a bfp!!!

mtw when are you testing?? and dg?? is today not testing day??

Hi to everyone else xxx

digitalgirl · 05/12/2007 11:05

morning ladies...CD39 today. how do i always manage to get to these dizzy heights?

GG glad you got your holiday re-booked! Sounds like you've got a very exciting month ahead of you.

bucky sunday night will have definitely done the trick.

cbcb how many years married?

hiding I've got that book, it's brilliant!

jollybear I've had EWCM after my temps claimed I ov'ed. Keep bd'ing, you never know. That way, if you get BFN's and still no AF in a weeks time, you know that there's a chance you could have ov'ed late.

babyfever welcome! as a long-term 2ww'er I can vouch for women who've been on here with no symptoms and got BFPs so there is still hope for you.

shazza has the tiredness hit you then? any MS yet?

well I am on tenterhooks. got some ewcm and lots of watery cm yesterday evening which had me dashing for the loo in a knicker-checking flurry. no AF yet though. temp same as yesterday, so I've hit 16dpo. no cramps waking me up this morning. feeling nauseas, but that could be the weather. have now got to distract myself for the next 48 hours till i can say I'm officially 18dpo. fertility friend says not to test till saturday
