@Misty84 TTC can GET IN THE SEA. It really does ruin everything sometimes. @thislittlebird could you chuck TTC in the sea from Cornwall please, which is not France but now I make sh*t up because clearly I now also have dementia because - in TTC land - I really am THAT OLD!

And no, who knows what does what “down there”. It’s truly medieval in terms of what we do know. Sorry you feel shite. Totally get it.

Marvellouslymadmum · 14/07/2021 11:01

@thislittlebird I know how you feel with the waiting, I honestly just feel like giving up right now 😞 last cycle was 50 days then 10 days later I'm bleeding again but also Lh is on the rise so I'm getting flashey smilies! Spoke to the gp who said it could be another af 🤔 but I don't think so if Lh is high! I'm worrying it could all be peri menopause!!! Now cd19 8 days of flashey smilies, and even if I get my peak I don't see a point in dtd as oh has started smoking again 😢 I just want to scream at him that he's undoing all the good of the last few months and he doesn't seem to care.

@Geriatric1234 if you find any voodoo or Wiccan rituals that actually work please let me know!! I think the little flashy face on my cb digi is just taunting me and if I could punch him right in his smiley little face I would right now 😂

I think my ovaries are holding onto eggs for dear life 🤦🏼‍♀️

thislittlebird · 14/07/2021 13:05

@Geriatric1234 I mean it's not a million miles away, all a bit Breton, it'll do, and there's plenty of sea to chuck ttc into! On the plus side the weather is FINALLY looking nice. I'm relieved, the miserable grey muggy weather has been making me feel even worse.

@Marvellouslymadmum your cycles are really not helping. Maybe you could see a private gynaecologist for advice? Oh no, can't believe your DH is smoking again, do you think the good results made him worry less?

@Misty84 how long are you away for? We leave for Cornwall on Friday. I'm dreading seeing all the preggers people on holiday and babies, and I feel rubbish myself. Wanted to lose some weight but didn't manage it really. Also dreading family asking us when we're having kids. Living away from them means it's a non-issue almost always.

Ugh. Sod pregnant friends. I saw my friend's baby on IG the other day and I cried, he was very cute.

Good for you, relax and have the bloody wine and don't beat yourself up over it. I had anxiety before and I have even more now. The last few weeks have been super tough.

thislittlebird · 14/07/2021 14:37

I haven’t found out if I need this vaccine yet, and now my body decided to ovulate early! Not yet, probably in the next three days, but the EWCM has appeared, it’s only day 10 Hmm.

Geriatric1234 · 14/07/2021 19:04

@thislittlebird Errr ovulating day bloody 9 here. Wtf…?!

@Marvellouslymadmum Holy crap that sounds like a complete mare :-( I agree with littlebird that it is surely a referral Q? I’d be exhausted feeling the pressure to dtd through that many annoying smiley faces (though I would love at least one to be fair…!). It’s like we’re all on a pendulum with this. Urgh.

MargotChateau · 14/07/2021 21:53

Hello all 👋 wondered if I could join your group/thread? (38 Trying to conceive with low follicle count and AMH and slowly losing my s#%t 🤦🏻‍♀️)

thislittlebird · 14/07/2021 22:18

Hello @MargotChateau, welcome! I'm 38 too, hate the pressure of ttc + ageing ugh. What's your ttc story so far?

MargotChateau · 14/07/2021 22:34

Hi thislittlebird thank you for welcoming me! Yes in the same boat, finding ttc in my late 30’s very isolating and lonely.

I had a miscarriage about 5 years ago at 11/12 weeks. I had a challenging few years in the meanwhile going back to New Zealand to look after my mum during an illness then coming back to London to get my career and finances back on track so had to delay ttc. We finally started trying a year ago with no luck, so got tested, 1 follicle on one ovary 2 on the other ovary and an AMH of .4. My partner he is 30 (a baby!) but he has come back with low motility and low sperm count.
We have been recommended for IVF, made our choice of NHS clinic, but not feeling hopeful.

We are still trying naturally even though our specialist told us there was no point and trying to improve our AMH/count/motility with supplements but it’s such a minefield! Where to start!

Sorry if this is too long, it all came pouring out. What is your fertility story? 🐚🐚

Geriatric1234 · 14/07/2021 22:45

Welcome @MargotChateau! You’re a baby too (compared to me at almost-43!)!

Sounds like you have a been dealt quite the challenging hand but great you’ve been referred! Have you spoken to IVF people yet?

Vent away here anytime! Xx

Theosmommy2011 · 14/07/2021 22:50

Hi all, I would like to join also. 37 and TTC number 3 for me xx

MargotChateau · 14/07/2021 22:58

Geriatric1234 yes pretty challenging, has anyone that you have heard of had the same combo but successfully conceived? Haven’t spoken to the ivf people yet. The specialist requested my clinic choice Monday and was going to call, but crickets. Awful and so stressful waiting to hear. I just want to hurry up, I’m paranoid I’m going to lose what little reserve I have left. 😞

What is your fertility story? 💜

And hi 👋 theosmommy2011

Marvellouslymadmum · 14/07/2021 23:49

@thislittlebird I've got my gynae referral next month so I guess all I can do is wait for that and see what happens. He say it's a blip - he'd run out of vape juice and the shops were shut so that's why he bought it and to be fair he has been smoking it here and there with vaping too and says when it's finished he won't buy more so I'm just hoping that's the case! Great for earlier ovulation for you!

@Geriatric1234 last month seemed to go on forever and we managed a lot of dtd but I thought we would have more of a rest this cycle and now it's happening again 🤦🏼‍♀️

@MargotChateau hi and welcome, I'm 42 and not hating the fact we don't know what's going on with our bodies! From what I've learned on here and from research I believe the suppliments can help egg quality and also they definitely help with sperm count/motility. You can still get pg as long as you have eggs and your amh isn't 0 as that's more an indication for how well you'll respond to ivf than anything else. You can also have natural or gentle ivf with a low amh which they say can work better for you egg reserves

@Theosmommy2011 hi and welcome

MargotChateau · 15/07/2021 00:37

@Marvellouslymadmum that’s really useful info thank you. Our specialist that referred us to ivf was really negative about our chances, and said conceiving naturally would be a miracle. But will try keep as positive as I can that I’m the tiny percent that get lucky! Endo and being older is a fun mix 😭😂

@Theosmommy2011 Theo is on our baby name list 🥰

Theosmommy2011 · 15/07/2021 07:49

@MargotChateau
@Marvellouslymadmum
Hi ladies, thank you for welcoming me. Well my story so far.....I can't decide which day to stop taking cerazette as I have a little holiday coming up and would rather not have a withdrawal bleed then. I have stage 4 endo and have just been diagnosed with adenomyosis. I also have an endometrioma so I imagine I will be here for a while xx

Geriatric1234 · 15/07/2021 09:18

@MargotChateau I never planned on children. I met my DH at 39 and assumed we were too old anyway (he’s 8 years older) but then we had a surprise pregnancy in Nov 20. It ended in a very early MC at 6 weeks but got us thinking we should look into our fertility and make an informed decision. Turns out everything is in good shape. That in itself was a shock as I had dreadful period pain and was told I had fibroids. I assumed I was infertile. Anyway, cut to period pain being dramatically improved by a fertility clinic suggesting acupuncture and we decided to “give nature a chance”. We would love a child together but he has two awesome DC with his ex so we get the family time too already.

I don’t want to do IVF so it’s all down to one good egg popping out my old ovaries and one geriatric old sperm swimming fast enough! 🤣 He is booked for a vasectomy in the new year, so that’s our deadline. I don’t want to do this endlessly and I see a lot of wonderful things to embrace in a childfree life. But would be absolutely over the moon to get a BFP with him :-)

I think Create do natural IVF which as @Marvellouslymadmum suggests is what I’ve heard is best for low AMH.

AMH only reflects how well your body will respond to the drugs and is not in indicator of natural success, though the NHS can decline women with low AMH because standard IVF success relies on collecting a high number of eggs (it’s all about costs). So AMH gets waaaaayyyyy too much significance when you’re trying naturally. 3 follicles also not great for IVF but shouldn’t be an issue for natural conception (one egg a month is all you need!). To put this in perspective my AMH was 6.3 in Feb and I’ve not had a BFP, whereas my sister’s was 3.2 in Feb and she got pg in March!

With your partner’s SA results I think you’d be strong candidates for natural IVF. They designed it for people with low AMH. Xx

Marvellouslymadmum · 15/07/2021 09:52

@MargotChateau I know how you feel, I have adenomyosis and suspected endo too, having had two children with my previous partner who are now teenagers I feel like it must be that stopping us this time!

@Theosmommy2011 I would say definitely don't delay if you can! I had a pregnancy in 2017 which ended in mc and we then delayed a year before trying again - 3.5 years later and I'm still here!! Have you had a laparoscopy or anything? I've got a gynaecology referral next month so I'm hoping they'll send me for one 🤞🏻

Theosmommy2011 · 15/07/2021 11:00

@Marvellouslymadmum I have had 3 laparotomies so far as I've been a gynae patient for 20 years now. All 3 were to remove large cysts ( different types each time ). I have concieved naturally 3 times. I lost my first beautiful boy at 21 weeks and my other two boys are 5 and 9. I tried never to worry too much but have just been given the adeno diagnosis. I have spoken with my consultant who has still given the go ahead for me to try. I feel like I'm hoping for a miracle. I have been on cerazette since January and had mirena before that. I think they have helped with pain so I'm really worried about when I stop. I just don't want to end up ruining a holiday if I can put it off a few days.

Great news that you have your referral! I had an excision done just before concieving my youngest and I think it helped tbh xx

Noodella18 · 15/07/2021 12:14

@Marvellouslymadmum I know you said previously that the B vits didn't have an effect on your cycle, but are you 100% sure about that? The cycle I took them it pushed out my ovulation to CD25, with a slow but steady rise in LH over about 12 days. Stopped taking them and the next month I had the usual day 1 rise day 2 surge and ovulation day 15. Was so surprised the difference supplements made. The month I got preggo I was taking folic acid, vit D and ubiquinol, nothing else. Maybe try a month off them and see what happens?

thislittlebird · 15/07/2021 13:15

I'm about to have the MMR today, this info I found when googling symptoms may explain why I got mumps in my 20s.

I'm going to get one dose, retest my antibodies and hope they've improved enough. In the meantime I'll have to ring round old GPs and see if anyone has my records, no idea if they keep them on file once you leave. That's me out of TTC this month, can't try with rubella in the system.

@MargotChateau it's really hard when it feels like you're the only one with problems too. My friends are all fine, no issues at all. I'm sorry to hear your AMH is low, it's such a shame we don't get to learn about these things before we get to this stage.

We have male factor, but normal count with low motility, and I have high AMH (maybe borderline PCOS) and may not be ovulating. It'll be two years since we started trying in October, never had a bfp. After much messing about with the NHS we have a very late referral to Guys and I'm pursuing private in the meantime. Would like to start in September but my rubella antibodies might stop me.

So far on the husband's supplements his motility has gone down, so we'll see what the next test brings in a couple of weeks.

@Marvellouslymadmum it's a bit too early for my liking lol. I'll keep testing the next couple of days and see what happens. I read someone say one ovary has a different cycle length to the other for some people (not sure how true this is) but that would make some sense, my longer cycle last month was my right ovary according to my scans.

At least your appointment isn't too far away now. Fingers crossed he stops!

@Theosmommy2011 hi! Most of us here still have been here a while, I think, you'll be in good company.

Geriatric1234 · 15/07/2021 15:27

@Noodella18 How are you getting on? How many weeks are you now?

What dose were you on with the B-vits? I’m curious if maybe I should up my dose to delay ov (day 9 LH peak this month!). Xx

Geriatric1234 · 15/07/2021 15:30

And hi @Theosmommy2011 :-) Is that the pill? (I haven’t taken it for about 15 years). Are you worried because of endo? If so I’d stay in it for the extra week and stop when you’re back - a week or two won’t make a huge difference and you can just dive into Ttc when you’re nice and chilled post-hols :-)

Theosmommy2011 · 15/07/2021 16:06

@thislittlebird Hiya, thank you. It's great to be able to give and receive support on this journey ❤️😁 xx

@Geriatric1234 Hiya. Yes, I'm so nervous about my endo pain increasing. It has been reduced since being on the pill. I still have periods just a lot lighter and I know they will get a lot heavier also. I think waiting is a good idea too. Thank you xx

Marvellouslymadmum · 15/07/2021 17:31

@Theosmommy2011 Im so sorry for your loss, I too have two children 15 & 16 now with my previous partner and had been on the pill from then until 2018 came off and symptoms have been slowly creeping up on me and getting worse, to be honest I probably had some before but didn't realise it! I was only diagnosed with adeno in may and have suspected endo the pain is so bad now but I won't give in and go back on the pill as ot can delay things so much fertility wise.

@Noodella18 this is what I'm wondering now, I've been taking them for 3 months and no difference but now! I may just try that then. How are you getting on?

@thislittlebird I wonder if that's true 🤔 no just over a month and I'm actually excited! Today is the test - he's run out now and is very grumpy but if he can get through tonight I think he will be fine. Do you know I've no idea if I've had all my doses of mmr! But would think it would've been bought up when I was pg before if so 🤷🏼‍♀️

Theosmommy2011 · 16/07/2021 10:09

@Marvellouslymadmum thank you ❤️. My boys are from a previous relationship also. All of my gynae struggles have pushed for me and my new partner to try now as the dr's have advised it's a now or never scenario really. Endo from my experience just continues to get worse until surgery is the only thing that helps with the pain. Pregnancy alleviated the pain for me too. This is why I'm so nervous. My pain can be really debilitating already so scared of how bad it is going to get once I stop the pill. I take naproxen for pain at the moment but don't want to take that while trying to concieve. I may give the endo diet a try and see if that can help. I'm with you on the pill, I won't go back once I stop xx

Marvellouslymadmum · 16/07/2021 21:01

@Theosmommy2011 I've heard that pregnancy can help it, what's the endo diet? Not heard of that!
