Thought I would start a thread for people trying to conceive their 2nd child. Hope some of you lovely ladies want to join in to keep each other sane!

So as I said I’m TTC #2. This is my first cycle. I’ve been tracking my period on the Flo app since my DS was born so have a good idea of my ovulation window. According to the app I’m due to ovulate tomorrow but I got a stronger result on a clear blue ovulation test yesterday than what I did today. DTD yesterday and hopefully again today if we find the time.

My first pregnancy was kind of unexpected i fell pregnant very quickly - around 2 months - after coming off the pill. I have not been on the pill for over a year and have been using condoms instead so it will be interesting to see how long it will take this time.

@moonpie32 cycle twin! Our minds do play with us, it's so cruel!
I'm a bit rubbish with tracking everything, I knew when my FW was and used cb OPK's and Cheapies. But this cycle I think I actually felt the O pain unless I just had a stitch that lasted all evening into the night. Also been trying to check CM too. So I know things happened around when they should have.
Really hope we can be BFP twins and if not then at least one of us with a BFP this cycle!! 🤞🏼🤞🏼

I'm thinking if no AF/spotting over the next few days then I'll look to test on Sunday (which will be cd25 - so, late by recent standards or close enough on the off chance i've spontaneously gone back to a normal cycle)...plus could be a lovely thing to find out on Mother's Day

That is of course...if i can ignore the handful of out of date cheapie tests and a digi I have in my drawer from ttc DS...

I’ve been lurking and decided to join, I’m TTC#2 and I’ve got a 3.5y/o

I’m CD20, approx 6/7DPO. I haven’t used any OPK’s or temping, just checking CM. It’s my first cycle off the pill!
I’m certain my fertile week was correct as Ovia predicted, and I think I O’d around 3rd/4th March as I had a sharp pain and a bit of EWCM so we DTD 3rd-6th and then 8th.

Last time I got pregnant with my son I’m certain it was the week that was 2 weeks exactly after my period so I’m hoping we’ve done the same this month, but we will see!

My period is due 19th so I’ll be hanging on til around then, I think! I haven’t any tests tbh I’m too scared to buy any!

Symptom wise, I’ve had lots of bloating, and niggles in my uterus. like bubbly feelings if that makes sense?! I’ve also got zero appetite which is unusual for me. I’m hopeful but also a bit wary and trying not to read too much into things but it’s SO HARD!

@Kimblebee19 I have not tested yet, just got a delivery of FRER’s from Amazon so will test as soon as I need to pee lol. I’m not hopeful as not had much symptoms today so think my mind has possible been playing tricks on me for the last few days.

I hope you can hold off 🙈 I have no willpower and test constantly

@tuxedocat Hey, Welcome! It’s so nice to have so many newbies 😋 sometimes falling pregnant straight off the pill seems to be the easiest way for some reason! Keep us updated on your symptoms and how you are feeling!

So I’ve tested again, there is something faint there. Again, it’s hard to tell if it’s for colour at an indent. I need locked up so I’ll stop testing, or I should get shares with FR 🤣 I’m trying to take a decent picture so you guys can give me your opinions. Going to try and save my other test for FMU tomorrow - it’ll be a miracle if it happens 🤦‍♀️

@tulips87 see I use the app as I have a terrible memory in general. Been using them for years so I know when AF is due.
I get ovulation pain, I think you become more aware of it when you start TTC. I check all the same stuff too except I don't do OPKs (yet). I did last time though.
Me too fingers crossed it's one if not both!

We've been talking about it for a few months but this is the first we haven't used any protection. So this is just a "see what happens" cycle. What about you? The month I conceived my DC I used everything going  grapefruit juice, pineapple juice, conceive plus, BBT. I'm hoping to not go down that route again!

@tuxedocat that all sounds really promising signs of O. I've had the bloating too but then my appetite has went through the roof so it may be that

I totally know It's ridiculous to be thinking about this before even pregnant but does anyone sometimes feel guilty on 1st born for trying for another? 🙈 I know it is totally ridiculous to feel like it but sometimes I just get a worry that she will feel left out or as if she isn't my whole world when she is!🙈🙈🙈

I’ve taken the best photo I can and tried to indicate where I can see a line. I’m still hopeful but not overly. I wonder if a clear blue digital would be better? As you can tell I’m the most impatient person in the works (I get it from my mother 🤣)

Let me know if you can see it or if I’m definitely going mad!

@May2311 yes massively guilty! As much as I want more kids I always wonder how I can love someone else the way I love my son!

@Babytale1 I can see it! How many DPO are you again? I think FMU might be your best attempt with a FRER. I never rated CB digital with my first.

Do you know how I found out I was pregnant last time? - AF was really late so I thought I must have not ovulated when I thought I did so started using OPK again - got a positive on one of them and kept getting them for 3 days so did another test and found out I was pregnant!

Glad I'm not the only one with the mum guilt🙈 I guess it's just one of those things you have to adapt to as time goes on!

@tulips87 thank you! I’m certain it was the weds or the thurs I had the O pain but then the Saturday I felt so heavy down there, I was working out and jumping was a struggle. Bit like in the later stages of pregnancy in terms of pressure without anything (i.e an actual baby!) there. so I’m intrigued on which day it could have been. Luckily we DTD Saturday so I hope we’ve covered all bases 🤞🏻🤞🏻
I’ve had absolutely zero appetite since monday, I’ve skipped breakfast / lunch just zero interest in food. Trying not to read too much into it but seems like everything is Something!

In terms of EWCM, does anyone find this is before or after O?

@Babytale1 I agree I can see something! Might be just the teeny wee bit too early for a nice pink line so maybe tomorrow/Friday?

@tuxedocat I get quite a lot of CM throughout my cycle but always find after ovulation and right before AF it’s a lot more like EWCM x

@moonpie32 this is cycle 3 for us, and I tried as much as I could this cycle, cb OPK's and cheapies, conceive plus lube, SMEP, I've been having Brazil nuts everyday too, just can't seem to find pomegranate juice anywhere.
With my previous pregnancies I never went though any of this, fell pregnant straight away but I now am older (34) and have an underactive thyroid so I think it's going to take me a while this time!
Hopefully you won't have to go down the crazy lady route and it'll happen this cycle for you 🤞🏼🤞🏼

Morning ladies. My boobs feel bigger, I asked my husband last night and he agreed (I’m not blessed in the boob department so any change feels noticeable) and they feel a little prickly in parts. Like you know when fabric catches the skin kind of feeling? I felt like it was my bra but it’s been a handful of times.

@tulips87 I conceived DC 1 using SMEP,OPKs and conceive plus. I also had grapefruit juice which is meant to help (it was disgusting but still done it).
Fingers crossed for you too as it sounds like your doing everything possible!

@tuxedocat I get EWCM before and after O. Then normally a 3/4 DPO it stops.
I didn't notice anything in the boob region last pregnancy, no tenderness, not getting bigger. Nothing. However if your noticing something that's a good sign I reckon.

@moonpie32 me either! I’m staying open minded as I did think maybe it was due to coming off the pill but apparently it’s the opposite, and makes them smaller?!

I tested a week after my period was due and got a positive last time. I had zero symptoms so much I had an 8week scan because I didn’t believe I was pregnant. I was lucky to have a great pregnancy til 38weeks when I was induced due to ICP.

@tuxedocat I can't remember what happened when I came off the pill it was so long ago. I think if they feel and look bigger it's a good sign though!

I tested 2 days before as I was on a clear blue ovulation trial and had no symptoms before hand (I was sick a couple of days but I was on holiday and put it down to sea sickness). I was the same as you. Straightforward until 38 weeks and had to be induced due IUGR as baby had stopped growing at 35+6

Glad i'm not the only one with some feelings of guilt and nervousness about no.2! (Especially on those days when i've had his water cup launched at my face for the 3rd time that morning, his lunch is all over the floor and he stands in his cot cry-screaming "booger!!" for 45mins at the top of his lungs to make me come back in the room at bedtime) 😭😁

@Babytale1 I definitely can see something on that test! Did you test again with fmu?

@tuxedocat loss of appetite was a big symptom for me last time (thought it should be the opposite and that it meant I was out!). Fingers crossed!

Yesterday I thought spotting was starting, had (TMI alert) one very very thin little string of red blood in cm...but not a hint since. It'd be wishful thinking to think it might just be implantation bleed, right?

@Kimblebee19 I’ve never had implantation bleeding but that’s what I would expect it to look like. When are you due on?

My feelings about no2 are one min so excited at the thought, and then equal measures terrified! I wonder how will I get out of the house with 2!? I know I’ll adapt but it’s crazy what goes through your mind 😂

@moonpie32 no way, so similar! ☺️ Is it likely this will happen in future pregnancies? I was told I have a 50-90% chance or ICP returning and if so, likely induction at 37/38 weeks again. It’s put me off for so long but as my son will be 4 towards the end of the year, I’m a little conscious of the age gap, so I’ve just said sod it 😂🤞🏻

@tuxedocat not sure because my periods have been really strange lately, but going by recent months i'd expect spotting to start anywhere from cd20-22 and full flow (2 day!) period by cd23-26 at the latest - currently cd22. Need to just stop analysing and wait and see what the next few days bring, but its so hard isnt it!

Really i'm waiting on a scan to try and find out why my cycle is doing this and unsure whether it will be affecting fertility anyway. So should be waiting for that ideally before ttc just in case...but heard nothing about an appointment for over 2 months now.

And yes mad to think about the practicalities of having 2 isnt it. I think because of lockdowns i'm worried I havent got into the full swing of parenting, taking DS for days out etc. But you're right i'm sure you just adapt (not much choice haha!). The age gap thing says now is right to start though, took 8 months last time too.
