Thought I would start a thread for people trying to conceive their 2nd child. Hope some of you lovely ladies want to join in to keep each other sane!

So as I said I’m TTC #2. This is my first cycle. I’ve been tracking my period on the Flo app since my DS was born so have a good idea of my ovulation window. According to the app I’m due to ovulate tomorrow but I got a stronger result on a clear blue ovulation test yesterday than what I did today. DTD yesterday and hopefully again today if we find the time.

My first pregnancy was kind of unexpected i fell pregnant very quickly - around 2 months - after coming off the pill. I have not been on the pill for over a year and have been using condoms instead so it will be interesting to see how long it will take this time.

@moonpie32 same here! I was super crampy 1/2dpo it’s eased off today though.

@JJ94 that’s tough! Maybe see how you feel on the weekend? A sneaky test on Sunday would be a good compromise maybe, as it’s the day before AF so not too early??

Pretty sure I'm out - looks like AF on her way tomorrow, quite gutted even though I had the slimmest chance ever of squeezing in a 2021 baby! If AF not definitely here first thing I'll POAS anyway just to keep the dream alive for a fleeting moment! Considering we only accidentally DTD, I'm really gutted that she's actually turned up - and 2 days late, so just enough to get me excited!! 😤

@Laureatus 2 days late is very frustrating! Teasing you! Fingers crossed AF stays away for you. Let us know how you gegt on tomorrow?

@tuxedocat i think if AF hasn't arrived by Sunday i will do a test, that way if I'm fortunate enough to get a BFP then i only have to contain my excitement for 1 day.

Well AF arrived full force on time as expected 🙄! Can you all help me out with ovulation please? Im not suprised I came on as I totally messed it up last month. I'm on time every month have a regular cycle of 28 days I followed the flo app as to when I was meant to ovulate but I think it was wrong. How do i find out when this is suppose to happen? I have ordered some clear blue ovulation tests x

@tuxedocat I've had constant cramps and backache since and woke up this morning feeling sick. Again far too early but o never feel like this so hope it's not a bug!

@Rmw99 Sorry to hear about AF Thing is with the apps unless you put absolutely everything in it, BBT, ovulation tests etc it's always going to be guesswork for. They base it on an average cycle for your normal cycle length kinda thing.
The only way to know for certain if and why you ovulate in any one month is doing ovulation tests and tracking your BBT pattern and even then it can be a minefield.

@Rmw99 sorry AF got you. This was my first cycle using clearblue ovulation tests and I used them alongside the cheap ones. I was really apprehensive about using OPK’s as I never have, but I know they can get very obsessive and it’s easy to see why!
I liked the clearblue cos it’s first wee, and it’s pretty simple to work out. I assumed my cycle this month would be longer as my previous was 30 days. I expected to O around CD17 but I got my peak CD13 and O’d on CD14. So, it’s useful to pinpoint where to focus your effort. Ofc it’s never a given! I’ve been using the cheap ones to just make sure that my LH surge is staying down. I learnt after reading up all this that everyone’s LH surge is v different. Some people get a long surge of a few days, some people get rapid. Mine was rapid, so my surge was a quick jump up and then down. If we had been doing every other day we probably could have missed it.

Sorry for the essay this early! Both apps I use (Ovia and premom) were had predicted a few days later than when I actually had. I started testing on CD8 so I had an extra day of blank smiley but it’s good to get the baseline hormone.

Well I tested anyway - BFN on a FRER, prob a waste of a test really, but couldn't resist! Annoying, I've never had a cycle this long but O was trying to lose weight so maybe my pattern messed up. Thanks for thinking of me everyone and good luck and baby dust to you all!

Well I'm a few days late now and had a few negative tests so not looking. Hopeful. I went to throw my clear blues away this morning and they both look positive but they were 100% negative when I did then. The one from last night has a faint blue line and the one from this morning has a dark thin blue line... so would fall in line with concentration but surely this is invalid.... im regular as clockwork with my periods so this is bizarre for me but surely I'd be having positives by now.....? I did ov late which would make be due now bt no sign of af at all.... can you get blue evap lines?

Here's pics of last night's on top and this mornings on the bottom. Surely it has to be an evap right? Only reason I'm questioning is due to me being late and the darkness is consistent with the concentration of my wee. Both were after 10 mins though only noticed them this morning way after 10 mins, was throwing them away. You can't actually see the line on the top one on the photo

@K8Tee the bottom looks possibly positive to me! The top one looks like an error with the line the wrong way.

I would try tomorrow with a red dye test. Or do you have an OPK you could take? Sometimes then show thinfs

@tuxedocat the line on the top one isn't the sideways mark, there's a really faint one in the same place. My pink dye ones have all been negative but they have been 20miu plus whereas this was 10miu. It was a million percent negative when I took it this morning. I just thought evap lines weren't so dark? Will try again with a pink dye in the morning

@K8Tee ahh ok I can’t see that one. I would think that one is a dye run with the dye to the side though.

Perhaps it’s just too early to see just yet - hopefully tomorrow or the day after will be easier to see

Not sure on evaps, I thought they were colourless but I know blue dyes are known for it. If you O’d late, implantation would be later and maybe it just needs a few days to build up the levels?

@K8Tee I'd deffo test in the morning! it looks like a very dark line to be an evaporation line?

I keep getting urges to test but AF isn't due for another 5 days, i'm doing my best to resist! I only have one cheapie and one clear blue digital in the house so i'm trying to save them. When i had loads of cheapie tests i was testing twice a day so maybe it's a good thing I haven't restocked 😂

Thanks ladies, trying not to get my hopes up but it's hard not to isn't it. I was shocked to see it and thought evap lines were not coloured but just wierd that it took so long to appear yet it so strong. I have 1 pink dye one to use in the morning but it's not as sensitive so not expecting much. Will buy another more sensitive one tomorrow.

@K8Tee keep us updated! i know what you mean about becoming obsessed. I genuinely have been more relaxed this month but i know the more months that pass the harder it becomes to "just see what happens" xx

Thank you ladies! Going to make a real effort this month as to be honest last month I didn't. Think I assumed with my first being so easy to fall pregnant with that this time would be the same. @JJ94 this is month 3 for us and each month I've convinced myself I'm pregnant then been disappointed when af has arrive. Told myself I wouldn't do it this month but its hard when af is nowhere to be seen and confusing tests like this are happening lol. Will let you know how the testing goes. :)

@tuxedocat it certainly seems like we are the same just now. Had a little pink blood in my cm today when I wiped (sorry tmi) and sore boobs tonight not looking into it too much though 🙈

@K8Tee the bottom test certainly looks good but if it's well after the timeframe it could be evap. However blue tests are notorious for being terrible in general. Good luck with the testing!

@JJ94 ha tell me about it. I was like that with DC. Tested loads! This time I have zero test in the house and will only get some if I'm late or I have full on symptoms

Congratulations on your positives ladies! Well I'm out. 4 days late (I am like clockwork so this was wierd for me), a questionably strong evap line and AF arrived this morning sad good luck ladies, l will be following still and moving over to the next month when it comes xx

BD every other day will work even though you have a rapid surge. Sperms can live 3-5 days inside of a woman when supported with good cervical mucus.
I also like to watch my LH baseline every cycle. It is fun. LOL

The urge to test is real 🙈

I caved and used my last cheapie test... BFN. AF due Monday so I'm hoping that it's still possible 💕

I’ve been so gassy the last day and today. I’ve also been having heart palps and shortness of breath when working out. Felt like my heart was gonna pop out my chest last night!
