TTC baby #2 March Bus

Hey 😋

Thought I would start a thread for people trying to conceive their 2nd child. Hope some of you lovely ladies want to join in to keep each other sane!

So as I said I’m TTC #2. This is my first cycle. I’ve been tracking my period on the Flo app since my DS was born so have a good idea of my ovulation window. According to the app I’m due to ovulate tomorrow but I got a stronger result on a clear blue ovulation test yesterday than what I did today. DTD yesterday and hopefully again today if we find the time.

My first pregnancy was kind of unexpected i fell pregnant very quickly - around 2 months - after coming off the pill. I have not been on the pill for over a year and have been using condoms instead so it will be interesting to see how long it will take this time.

@Ktd88 not for ageeees for me. I’m CD9 and 2 days into using the clear blue ovulation kit after saying I wouldn’t use an OPK’s but here we are. Technically I should be booted off this bus and onto another 😂 as it’ll be late April when I test I imagine.

How is everyone doing? @moonpie32 how are you hanging on?

I've just started FW yesterday according to some apps and not till tomorrow according to others. DTD Saturday and last night cos why not 🤷🏻‍♀️😂
Still taking the relaxed approach this month.
Only on CD8 so a while to go.

Apparently my fertile week will fall over Easter weekend but we will see if it does. We are just DTD every other day if we can, my husband works away some times so it’s not always as easy but we’ll give it ago 🤗

Seems so boring this side of the cycle 😂
Also not entirely sure how we are at Easter already this year is flying by!

Just joining! I'm TTC no.2, DC is going to be two this year and I'm on the second cycle after a MC in January.

@tuxedocat my FW will be over easter weekend too! Sometimes we have a hard time catching the FW because of the timing of mine and DP's work as well, but we are both off so I'm hoping this will be the month haha.

Not gonna lie I had to look at a calendar as I didn't realise it was next weekend!

Hahaha same I’m relieved my cycle has fallen this way and hoping I O over the Easter weekend because I never know week to week it’s impossible to plan.

Dedication to the cause was DTD early this morning as he’s away til midweek just on the off chance.
You know it’s dedication when you pass sleep at 6am to make sure you get it in 😂🤦🏻‍♀️

@Ktd88 Probably tomorrow... Thursday morning if I can hold out till then, but today if I totally cave 😆 I ordered FRERs and they are due to arrive tomorrow, so I am trying to use to that as my cue, but I have two Clearblue ones, so the temptation is there...
I seem to be either 9 or 10 DPO, depending on which app is correct. What about you?

Anyone else symptom spotting? 😅 Had a bit of cramping last night. That is standard for me if a period is coming, but also I had cramping the month we conceived my first, so I'm obviously hoping that's it! It doesn't seem to mean anything either way in my case 🤣

Easter weekend is a nice time to be hitting peak for those of you who mentioned it above!

@Fuiseog I'm basically the same as you, and only DTD once 🤣 I am totally enjoying symptom spotting even though success is pretty unlikely. I felt implantation with my first, so I'm totally on the lookout for the cramps and pulling sensation again. I looked back in Flo at my symptoms around conception last time, so far pretty similar but it could be AF getting ready. As we're not actively trying again yet I can enjoy it rather than being anxious (but that time will come soon I'm sure). Sending you baby dust!

@tuxedocat I hope so. Just looked at a due date calc and if it was this month due date would be 24th December 🙈 but that's not taking into account my 4 days of spotting.

@Fuiseog i symptom spot all the time. It drives me nuts. I've looked back at what my ovulation and implantation symptoms were last time and clearly I never bothered so have nothing to go on 🤣

@moonpie32 😂I’m always intrigued when they do dating scans how true the dates you give them (with period etc) are. Mine would be 28th Dec I think 😂🤦🏻‍♀️

@moonpie32 @tuxedocat I know lots of people are a bit iffy with Christmas due dates but I would love it! I'm really hoping it's this month for me, what are you ladies thinking about it? X

@minthumbugs I’m hopeful! 🤞🏻 Our plan is mostly DTD every other day and I’m hoping using the clear blue sticks will guide us but I’m finding it making me worry more 😂
How are you feeling, where are you in your cycle?

@tuxedocat I'm on CD15 and normally have a fairly late ovulation. Been using cheapy sticks and nothing so far so will switch to the CB sticks once I start seeing a line! Last month had nothing on CB and the app told me it was too late in the cycle and to stop testing. Then just in case I took a cheapy that had a blazing line and got a static smiley on CB straight after. 🤷‍♀️ Hopefully DTD every other day in the next week or so 🤞🏻

@tuxedocat for my first my due date was exact between what I had worked out and my dating scan. I was pretty surprised actually.

@minthumbugs I'm not bothered by a December birthday at all but it's an extremely busy month for us. We have DC, niece, best friend, SIL, grandad, Christmas, FIL, godson and best friends son 😂🙈
I am very hopeful of this month though. Just need to keep everything crossed! Still not caving and using OPKs and just keep DTD every few days then ramp it up with ovulation signs.

@minthumbugs gah bloody sticks! I’m trying to stay open minded with them but hopeful the covering of bases with every other day will help.

@moonpie32 I think mine was close, I think I was perhaps pushed back a day. It was EDD of 6th Dec and I thought 7th. And then he didn’t even come in December anyway 😂

Our other halves have got a busy month this one by all the DTD we’ll be having 😂

Hey ladies. Just.wondering if anyone is due to test over the Bank Holiday weekend? Af is due on Bank Holiday Monday so if I get that far I'll be testing either on that day or the following day I think. Its so hard to wait! The 2ww is looooooong

@tuxedocat I looked when I was pregnant last time and different countries have different calculations for full term 🤷🏻‍♀️ uk is something like 39+6, France is 40+6 so I take due dates with a pinch of salt 😂

Pretty sure they aren't going to complain 😂

@tuxedocat I presume dating scans presume your cycle is 28days so maybe that makes the difference? When I was preggers with our son they moved the due date 2 days based on the scan, and he turned up 9 days earlier than that - there have been no early babies in my family so I was totally shocked!

@K8Tee SNAP! AF due on Monday 5th according to Flo (but not confident with my tracking as only done a few months); I bought some FRERs today, but thought I might cave and have a go tomorrow as I won't have a sneaky chance to do it again until the 7th (we're not actively trying yet so Idon't want to freak out DH by testing while he's around if that makes sense).

@Laureatus makes total sense, I hide my opk sticks for the exact same reason. He knows what's going on and that I use them but gets a bit of stage fright so we keep them private 🤣😆Good luck for tomorrow if you give it a go. I think I'll be 8dpo tomorrow so trying to hang on for a while (famous last words lol as I have 1 Internet cheapie in my wardrobe just begging to be wee'd on 🙈👀

@K8Tee Aww, thanks! Allegedly I'm 10dpo tomorrow; we only DTD once (kind of by accident) so I'm not expecting anything but wildly symptom spotting nonetheless. I know there's no point testing before AF is due really, so I should just wait, but I'm just enjoying the excitement! 🤣

@Laureatus it is an exciting time and Impossible to not symptom spotting like crazy. I told myself I wouldn't this month but here I am 🤣👋 do whatever feels right for you x

Unsurprisingly a BFN for me today - I've totally left my FRER like a crazy just to see if something comes up after the 3mins! AF due on Monday (maybe?!) so if nothing by Weds I'll have another go when I have the house to myself just for fun. Shane, I'd always hoped we'd aim to have our second this year but my DH wasn't ready - this accident would have been our last chance for 2021!

@Laureatus sorry for the BFN. Still a few days to go before AF is due so still room left!

I’ve still got a blank ass smiley and v faint lines on OPK’s but only CD11 so to be expected.
When do others see the smiley start to change out of interest? I know it’s dependent on cycle but I’m mostly just curious!

I’m about 6 weeks off the pill and my skin has always been alright but jeeez the spots I’ve got on my chin. Hormones are working for sure 😂

Sorry that it was negative today @laureatus (not sure why my phone won't tag you) but you're not put of the game yet 🤞 also not only do I keep my tests for a while but I I also hold them in different lights just in case 🤣🙈 I stupdily used my only test today at approx 8dpo - obs negative, not sure what I was expecting this early lol!

Another disappointing test here today too - sorry to those who were the same! Used a FRER. Not a hint of a second line. I'm holding out a bit of hope but was very disappointed. I'm going to test again tomorrow morning. Really want this to be the month!!!
