Hey 😋

Thought I would start a thread for people trying to conceive their 2nd child. Hope some of you lovely ladies want to join in to keep each other sane!

So as I said I’m TTC #2. This is my first cycle. I’ve been tracking my period on the Flo app since my DS was born so have a good idea of my ovulation window. According to the app I’m due to ovulate tomorrow but I got a stronger result on a clear blue ovulation test yesterday than what I did today. DTD yesterday and hopefully again today if we find the time.

My first pregnancy was kind of unexpected i fell pregnant very quickly - around 2 months - after coming off the pill. I have not been on the pill for over a year and have been using condoms instead so it will be interesting to see how long it will take this time.

Please feel free to share your journey so far xx

Morning all 😊

@tuxedocat this must be so frustrating for you!!! It could just be super light because it's your first one after coming off the pill? If you don't get anymore over next few days I would be inclined to count it as that.

@feliznavidad2 ah it's all a waiting game - very annoying!!

I'm CD8 and it's still dragging. Woke up feeling super rough- I seemed to have caught my LO cold - the joys! About to head out into the fresh air so hopefully that will freshen me up! Have a lovely day everyone. Xx

tuxedocat · 24/03/2021 09:53

@May2311 that’s what I’m thinking - I’m guessing lack of actual period maybe means I didn’t actually ovulate then?! If I get no more I think I’ll count have to count sunday as CD1 and then perhaps I’ll have to pick up OPK’s to see if and when I do on this cycle (if indeed it’s a bloomin new cycle!)

May2311 · 24/03/2021 11:58

@tuxedocat yes good idea. Plus in the meantime try and keep DTD regularly incase you didn't ovulate. Xxx

Hi all, been following your thread but too sleep deprived and busy to properly participate 😭
I’m on CD26 out of what is usually a 28 or 29 day cycle. I’ve had very mild cramps off and on for the last few days, which is exactly what I had with both pregnancies (mc and DS). However I’m very aware that it’s easy to imagine symptoms when you think you know what you’re looking for 😅 I think I might actually manage to hold off testing and just wait for af to arrive, as I think I’d rather it came than have a negative test! Plus, I don’t seem tend to test positive that early, so it wouldn’t be conclusive if it was a negative even at this point.
Occasionally I do get a short cycle so it’s possible this could be af arriving soon but it’s usually pretty consistently 28-29 days.

Sorry to hear about all of the waiting you’re doing @tuxedocat, must be frustrating!

coconutlatte44 · 24/03/2021 15:33

Also, I totally have the Christmas debate going on in my head too if it doesn’t happen this cycle! We have a mid Jan baby and if I got lucky this time round it would be early Dec, but for some reason I can’t shake the feeling that my imaginary future child would hate me for having them in the first week of Jan! Ridiculous huh? 😅😅😅

tuxedocat · 24/03/2021 17:18

@coconutlatte44 only a few days to wait, fingers crossed for you!
The birthday debate is a tricky one isn’t it 😂

Thanks for all the kind words lovely ladies. Funny that you spend so much time not wanting a period then you’re desperate for one it makes no sense.
I’ve had a wee bit more darker red blood and a few cramps so I’m hoping it’s coming in force in the next few days 🤞🏻🤞🏻

feliznavidad2 · 25/03/2021 09:40

@tuxedocat hope it comes soon for you! 🤞🏻

I've bought some FRER ready for when it's time to POAS. (Eager, anyone?) 🤦‍♀️ 🙄

May2311 · 25/03/2021 13:09

9dpo today and fighting the urge to test 🙈 talk me out of it ladies!!! X

tuxedocat · 25/03/2021 13:48

@May2311 try and hold on until Saturday morning! 11dpo would be much more likely to show 💕

Still waiting to AF to show her bloody face 😡

May2311 · 25/03/2021 14:18

@tuxedocat yes your right!! 11dpo is much more likely to be accurate 😑😑😑😑

Ah I bet it's so annoying! I wonder what an OPK would show for you? When do you think your FW would be again if you did class the spotting as an AF? X

tuxedocat · 25/03/2021 14:24

@May2311 its frustrating - do you have some FMU to use? I always try to think how much worse I’ll feel if I see that negative to stop me from testing! Would you feel better or worse?

Oh I’ve no idea 🤣 I would say from the 4th April onwards. I’m tempted to get the clear blue OPK kit to give me some sort of idea of if I’m ovulating but I’m not sure yet.

I’ve read so many mixed reviews on spotting and most say you can count CD1 til you’ve had bright red blood Confused but I’m not sure! I’ve had some dark red but really nothing substantial

May2311 · 25/03/2021 14:27

@tuxedocat when did you have your pill withdrawal bleed? I used the CB 4 day one this month and really liked how easy it was!! Nothing stored so no point in doing it. I know logically there is no point - I'm blaming my cold for wanting some good news hahaha. X

tuxedocat · 25/03/2021 14:38

@May2311 oh bless you. Fingers crossed this weekend is the one?

19th Feb I had my withdrawal bleed. My first cycle off the pill last time was spotting and lasted 35 days (today!) so hoping it might follow suit and tomorrow is CD1 for me. I’m begging at this point 🤣

I’m glad the CB was easy to use, is it around CD8 you start? I’m intrigued and I’m not sure I want the worry of line readings!

May2311 · 25/03/2021 18:02

@tuxedocat so it depends on your cycle lengths so you use the shortest cycle in the last 6 months so mine was on CD8 as my shortest is 29days. It is either blank face( low) flashing face( high) or static face ( peak) so it is really simple and no stressing over lines! I would recommend if you want to go down that route as then you aren't wondering whether you did ovulate when you think you did etc.

🤣🤣 hopefully it will follow same patten & CD1 is tomorrow! Xxx

moonpie32 · 25/03/2021 19:16

Hello ladies!

Hope you are all doing ok?

@tuxedocat sorry you still aren't getting a clear answer with AF!

coconutlatte44 · 25/03/2021 19:40

Hiya, happy Thursday!
CD27 for me out of a 28 or 29 day cycle. Have managed to hold off testing so far! I can’t shake the feeling that maybe we’ve managed it but I am trying to prepare myself to be wrong.
Although ttc1 wasn’t totally straightforward to us (had to have a d&c after my body didn’t recognise a silent miscarriage) we had fallen pregnant first time and then it happened again first cycle when we started trying afterwards. It would be really crazy if we managed it first time again - and would mean we have to be careful for the next decade as I’m keen to stop at two 😅

May2311 · 26/03/2021 07:49

@coconutlatte44 ahhh good luck. I resisted the urge to test this morning - 10DPO. Due AF Sunday I think. When do you think you will test? Why is it soooo hard? I don't feel like we have caught it this month. No symptoms really. Xxx

coconutlatte44 · 26/03/2021 09:11

Thanks @May2311, did you have symptoms that early first time around? I think it’s fairly common not to but you just never know! My only symptom I really have is very mild cramping off and on but I usually only have that in the 24 hours before af. Due today or tomorrow, I think not having a test at home has helped me hold off! If I pick one up today I might not be able to. However we are going through a rough patch with my son’s sleep (which has never been good) which means both dh and I are a bit grumpy and I don’t really want to test when we’re in a bad mood!

May2311 · 26/03/2021 09:25

@coconutlatte44 tbh I can't remember 🤣 I don't remember anything really noticeable so fingers crossed! Ouch sleep deprived always makes things worse I think! My LO has been teething & then got a cold so has had a disturbed couple of weeks ( it makes you think oh dear why are we wanting to go through this again 🤣🤣) last night she was back to normal so I managed to get 9 hours so feel very refreshed! It's amazing how the soon fit back into routine if something knocks them off. Hope you get a good nights sleep tonight and AF stays away!! X

coconutlatte44 · 26/03/2021 09:55

Lol thanks but it’s unlikely, he generally sleeps for 3 or 4 hours at a time but last night was up every 2. Haven’t gotten much more than 4 hours in a row since late pregnancy! So we have legit fears not only about not being able to cope with it again but about him not making progress before no 2. He was moving toward 1 or 2 wake ups a night but seems to be regressing really quickly.

May2311 · 26/03/2021 12:35

@coconutlatte44 ouch! How old is he? I think we all worry how we will cope in the night etc if both are up but I'm sure we will all find our way! Xx

coconutlatte44 · 26/03/2021 13:04

@May2311 14 months 😭😭😭
He was up 6-8 times a month until 6 months so he’s always been tough sleep wise.
I just ordered my frers from Amazon and will be here tomorrow

May2311 · 26/03/2021 17:38

Ladies.... 10DPO and I just caved- this is a real line isn't it?!!!! I had a bit a down day today as work are being awkward about my return date from mat leave so hubby has taken my DD for a walk so I could have a bath and chill- obviously the tests were staring at me!!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
