Hi everyone, havent been on for a while - not since the last thread anyway. Glad to see everyone still so positive. So sorry Jules about your sister - but she has an amazing sister who will help her through.

Im in a dilemma - got bfp today (cd 27) Ive got lots of pg symptons but Ive also been getting quite a few pains too - after last mc Im not hopeful.

lissieloulou · 10/11/2007 15:10

jules, im sorry.

thank you ladies, ive missed you all so much. figured there wasnt much point in lurking!

ClairePO · 10/11/2007 15:38

Lissie so glad to see you back

Cheekster congrats on the BFP, everything crossed for you that the pains aren't anything to worry about.

Cheekster · 10/11/2007 15:45

Thanks a lot Claire - its so unfair that I cant be all excited about it

When I told dh his first words were 'we cant let ourselves get excited about this' - he s right but why does it have to be like this.

All we can do is cross our fingers and hope for the best.

ClairePO · 10/11/2007 15:57

So sad that we feel like this Cheekster, hopefully this one will be a sticky for you both. Will you be able to have an early scan do you think?

Cheekster · 10/11/2007 16:02

I'm going to try and get an appointment for the doctors next week so hopefully they will give me an early scan - I hope I get that far.

lissieloulou · 10/11/2007 16:05

cheekster, i know you are scared, but im sure you will be fine. congrats and crossing everything for you!

Cheekster · 10/11/2007 16:10

Thanks a lot lissie - glad to see you back - so sorry to hear that someone had upset you. But this thread is fab - everyone is truly amazing - I seriously wouldnt have got through the last few weeks if I hadnt discovered mnet.

lissieloulou · 10/11/2007 16:18

i know, i was lurking, but i couldnt not post iykwim

Cheekster · 10/11/2007 16:24

I do a lot of lurking lissie - it took me almost a month to finally pluck up the courage to post a message first time. Its nice to know that so many people have been missing you though.

lissieloulou · 10/11/2007 16:30

it is nice, but i felt so guilty, ive become so involved in a lot of stories on here, so i realised i was just being silly!

Cheekster · 10/11/2007 16:43

You werent being silly - you were upset, I would have done exactly the same theres no reason to feel guilty.

Just had a telling off from dh - he said i shouldnt have tested early as its playing with our minds.

cheekster - welcome back and congratulations, I know exactly how you are feeling right now I'm 5 weeks pregnant and scared witless the same thing will happen again. I will be having a scan at 8 weeks and I tell you it's going to be a long 3 weeks. Will keep everything crossed for you too, hopefully this time next year we will have both have a lovely chubby newborn (seems like an age away though).

lissie - good to see you back I missed you, when is AF due it must be soon?

OracleInaCoracle · 10/11/2007 16:48

i wish there was something i could say, but remember that this is a new baby. recurrent mc is very rare, and there is a very good chance that this is a sticky bean. im crossing everything for you x

Cheekster · 10/11/2007 16:52

LoveAngelGabriel · 10/11/2007 19:02

Hello all. Haven't been around much lately as busy renovating our new house and settling DS into his new nursery.

So sorry to hear about your sister, justjules

Really glad to see you back lissie. It's nice to have familair names around

Cheekster - Congratulations on your BFP! I can imagine how you are feeling. I don't think I'll be able to relax for a long while if and when I conceive next time , so can understand how you're feeling. Can you get an early scan through the EPU at your local hospital? It might help to oput your mind at rest a little bit?

Sorry if I've missed anyone out. I'm feeling slightly sorry for myself today, after a birthday party for my DS's friend where roughly half the mums with 2 / 3 yr olds (my DS's age) were pregnant with their 2nd, including 2 women who were due around the same time I would have been. All those bumps and happy, smiling pregnant mummies made me feel strangely lonely. But I've got you lot, eh? . I love MN for this thread alone

Anyhoooo...takeaway and wine for me tonight, methinks. Need cheering up. xxx
