OP posts:
alittlebitshy · 26/11/2007 12:01

that is v interesting Kate! Will have a good look at that later on.

queen of cups - ooh. tst again on weds???

TJuice - i like the sound of your relaxing eve last night. Try not to worry

I'm testing again tomorrow which will be the first official day af COULD come, but if it was coming would prob not til weds, thurs or fri (nice and scientific there )
Bought some tescos tests but they had no CBDigitals... i've never used one but i really want one this time. Will look in boots and superdrug on my way to work this evening. Have a stash of 5 tests now . 2 CB (normal ones - will do one (assuming i last that long:{) before i go to gp cos i know they like CB); 2 tescos; 1boots digital left over from last week. BUt i want a CBD!!!!! I've never been a test addict before but after this odd bfp last week, i'm intrigued and terrified and unable to be excvited. Tying to ignore all my niggles (af???). took to my bed with a hot water bottle last night. mmmm.

ladylush · 26/11/2007 12:27

Ladies, thanks for all your lovely messages. Made me feel quite emotional (big wuss that I am)! TJuice got my fingers crossed for you. Problem is that having had a m/c you are hypervigilant which is torturous whenever you get any twinges or spotting. I had spotting with ds up til 11 weeks but he was fine and is sitting downstairs with his dad watching cbeebies We all have a rotten cold virus - not great timing as I have an interview later.

alittlebitshy · 26/11/2007 13:20

never had the POAS addiction before but i had a sudden urge to see if there was enough hcg in my urine at this time of day, 2-3 hours after last wee. cd 30 (of 30-33 ish)

There was.

But still testing again tomrrow cos this is addictive.

And as i said, it's not real til at least 6 weeks

cricri · 26/11/2007 13:59

ALBS Ooooh, sounds positive! Fingers crossed for you
TJuice Hope you're OK and that you can get the reassurance you need. It's all too easy to think the worst after what we've all been through, but it sounds as though everything is fine from what you said.
Grinningbee Thinking of you and your husband today and fingers crossed that his blood test results are good.
Kate2179 sorry you had to join us, but you've come to the right place for support and cakes!
Hello to everybody else.

lissielewzealand · 26/11/2007 14:12

sorry tjuice, yes it would have been seen. got you confused.

alittlebitshy · 26/11/2007 14:15

found a shop locally that does CBD's but wimped out - the cost made me panic.

I'm sure i'll give in .
though my lines are deffo lines.
Just with my recent history i'm craving reassurance

KashaSarrasin · 26/11/2007 14:33

ALBS that sounds like good news! If it was me I'd definitely invest in a CBD

Tjuice Hope the spotting's stopped and you're feeling OK.

qoc I'd test again in 48hrs - good luck!

Hello loveangelgabriel!

Welcome kate2179 sorry you've had to join us - off to look at that website now.

I'm also smirking at the "not taking it lying down" - brilliant

TJuice · 26/11/2007 15:02

albs - you're rather potty . one question though - are hot water bottles okay on tummy during pg? i have been craving one but my dp says no hot temps. can't find any info on it though . . .

thanks for the crossed fingies, ladylush. i am being positive - i hope/think it will be okay.

sweetkitty · 26/11/2007 15:13

ALBS - I know you are completely denying it and I know how you feel as I won't believe I am pregnant until I'm being kicked in the ribs but your pregnant my dear!

Tjuice - how you doing? I think a hot water bottle would be OK right now the baby is still in your pelvis nice and safe, you aren;t supposed to get overheated in pregnancy but I don't think a hot water bottle would be a risk.

lissie - were you having a doctors appointment today, how did it go?

ronshar · 26/11/2007 15:23

Had a very busy weekend with DD1 8th birthday. Crickey 8 year old girls have changed since my day!!

Well ALBS, I never thought you would join the crazy "I must wee on a stick every couple of hours club". I have deliberately not bought any more wee sticks as I was spending an absolute fortune every month just to tell me what I really already knew.
Can I do proper dance for you now??? No more little chair dances.

I think I saw a news item about that charity the pre-conception one. Looked very promising. Didnt think I would need it when I watched it.

Can we have big pants too in the new thread?

lissielewzealand · 26/11/2007 16:33

hello ladies. well, i saw the doc today and i am being referred to LWH asap. she agreed that mr b(*stard) isnt doing enough to help us and i need more specialised care!

woo hoo!

lissie - great news am glad you are getting some help now

Both my DDs have just come out in chicken pox spots luckily I have had it so am immune so no risk to baby but my poor babies we are all going to be cooped up indoors all week now - argh !

lissielewzealand · 26/11/2007 16:45

oh, bless them!

alittlebitshy · 26/11/2007 17:17

Oh your poor dds sweetkitty. At least they BOTH get it out the way though.

Ronshar - mmmm, me in the crazy POAS crowd??? how did that happen?

Okay, okay, I'm pregnant (ah first time i've written in).

But I don't want to feel copmplacent cos I'm petrified it'll go wrong. the positive so far are :

  • the mega early bfp(s)
-The getting stronger lines (last 2 pgs they've been relaitvely faint) - but does that mean anything at all???

ah - that's it.
No more positives yet.
Just terrified cos I'm SURE it will go wrong
Got all sorts of niggles, and i'm noticing the one son my left side more - just like in the last 2 pgcys

T-JUice - I've only used the hot water bottle on my back..... Bit scared to do it on tummy - just like i'm too scared to have a bath (don;t worry, i do shower!!) in case it's too hot. and in my opinion there's no point having a nice smelly bath without lots of HOT water.

iliketotrickortreat · 26/11/2007 18:43

hi ladies wow so many bfps congrats to you all.

well turns out im not pg, just very shitty evap lines on very shitty ebay tests but ah well. maybe it wasnt meant to be, maybe its not the right time etc etc but ah well sod it. im sick of muling it over and over in my head its slowly but surely driving me beserk!

naturally im still going to be trying but im not going to be dwelling on it 24 hours a day, if it happens it happens. I have 3 wonderful dc and im so blessed to have them!

sorry i havent joined you all for so long but i couldnt handle the chat iykwim.

hope you are all doing well

alittlebitshy · 26/11/2007 18:55

oh poor old you
When did you find out???

kate2179 · 26/11/2007 19:37

Thanks for the welcome ladies, just what I needed today! Just home from work, DH on a stupid course tonight, would be ok except it's our wedding anniversary... Boo! And the fact that I can have a glass of wine if I want to really doesn't make me feel any better, do you know what I mean? Suppose I could prepare a romantic dinner for 2 but as it'd be for me and the dog there doesn't seem much point. Feeling sorry for myself sorry! Am blaming a lot on the hormones at the moment!
Thank you to whoever posted the link to the TTC after MC thread - twilightsurfer possibly? Really good to read of so many positive outcomes.
albs I really feel for you with the constant desire to POAS - am thinking of adding knicker checking to my list of least favourite past times!

kensgirl · 26/11/2007 21:06

Hi there!

Hope you are feeling OK Tjuice, its good news that the browniness has stopped, i would think it means its not soemthing too signifcant. Take care of yourself though xx

OOh, can I say congratulations yetthen Littlebit? Fingers crossed for you, although I'm sure you'll be chnging your name to Littlebitpreggy soon

Its great news that you are FINALLY getting a decent referral Lissie. I hope they get some answers and solutions for you asap xx

Well, I had my 1st scan today . After a sleepless night, many tears and complete disbelief that they were gong tot tell me the baby wasn' progressing.... we got a little heartbeat! The babay measures 4mm, and the sonographer puts me at 6 weeks exactly. She says everyhing looks just as it should for this stage. I can't tell you all how much better I feel, as though I now have a right to be hopeful that we will have a baby one day.

hope everyone is finding something lovely in their life today xx

DUSTIN · 26/11/2007 21:51

Hi Ladies

Great news Kensgirl

Lcy, Aquababe like you I am going to give this ttc business a break until after Christmas. Want to be able to enjoy myself with out worrying over the festive period.
Lcy I have been using a persona monitor to pinpoint ovulation and I have found it easy to use and I think it is cheaper than the cb monitor.

grinningbee how did it go today?

Tjuice I had lots of strange pains and bleeding when I was pregnant with my DS. No-one I knew had had these symptoms when they were pregnant so it freaked me out- thank god for mumsnet, just wish I had known about it then.

kate2179 sorry you had to join but it does help talking on here. Take care x

mcchesers · 26/11/2007 23:02

Great news Kensgirl! I logged in especially to see if you had posted. I'm so happy for you.

kate2179 - big hugs to you..I hope it gives you comfort to know you can say anything here, we've all been where you are.

SK- Chicken pox..ok if I remember correctly the best thing was bathing in oatmeal. it works I swear it! They have this tuff in the states called Aveeno and it's an oatmeal based bath soak for rash and it did the trick. You might google it to be sure, but it really worked when nothing else did.

Take care and goodnight everyone!!

TwilightSurfer · 27/11/2007 00:35

YES Aveeno Oatmeal Bath is wonderful. I get it all the time. Works wonders on plain old dry skin too. I'd be glad to ship you some if you can't get it in the UK.

TwilightSurfer · 27/11/2007 01:37

Oh you have all got to go read this webpage. It's all about miscarriages (more specific...recurrent miscarriages but even after just one the info is very insightful). The lingo is a little more doctor than layman so get ready for a little schooling. Here it is!

TJuice · 27/11/2007 07:44

congratulations kensgirl!

its a great feeling, isn't it? for a day or two at least (maybe that's just me).
I don't know what that browniness was but it didn't last long so i hope all is okay. since i was so sick last night and have been retching this morning too, i think i will wait until my appt next week for the gynae. i feel a bit guilty because i keep rushing in there . . .

was thinking about the Foresight page which i only looked at really briefly. the one thing that struck me was that although it seems very practical to change your diet, minimise your exposure to chemicals etc etc - i feel like it somehow makes lifestyle (even if its inflicted on us by environmental pollution and not chosen as such) the key factor in mc. which is not the medical professions point of view really - there is more that sometimes (and actually more often then you would think) things just don't work out and nature does its thing. it just worries me that then you might think "oh,i should have done this or that, or not done whatever" and have this element of self-blame (which for me at least, is something i think about anyway).

do you know what i mean?
i do think though, that taking control of diet, lifestyle etc has got to be a positive way of ttc, as long as it is not part of an unhealthy obsession with it.

Wheelybug · 27/11/2007 08:56

Hi All

Great news Kensgirl - good luck for teh next 34 weeks (and following months, years etc etc).

ALBS - Not that I'm saying congratulations or getting excited for you but its looking really really promising (understatement of the year). It must be so hard finding out so early though..... but lets hope thats a good sign.

ILTS - sorry things didn't work out, stick around...

TJuice - glad you're puking

Not much to report here - Got a + OPK yesterday morning so despite thinking we wouldn't do much this month we've actually performed remarkably well (quantity at least !).

Just one request for advice - OPK is negative this morning (digital) - would you take that as ok to stop bding now or should we continue ??

(have been using OPKs for over a year now, you'd think I'd know but I think I usually stop using them when I get a +).
