I guess it's easy enough for people to work out the new title!

namechangejustincase · 25/11/2007 19:39

i reckons that sounds good.
But we might as well keep filling this one up until dec 1st/ it fills up /whichever comes first else we'll have people getting lost and confused and wondering why noone is replying etc etc etc.....

namechangejustincase · 25/11/2007 19:39

ah pants i've done it again using my name change.

ah well......

not taking it lying down

kate2179 · 25/11/2007 21:05

Hello ladies, please may I join you? Been lurking for a while, been so good to know so much support is out there.
I had an ERPC on 3rd Nov after a scan on 13th Oct showed I was measuring 4.5 weeks when I should have been nearly 8. Then had a pretty tough time waiting... and waiting... we had a 2nd scan 11 days later which showed 6+1 and they thought a heartbeat (but v tiny), both me and DH felt a lot more positive but nurse at EPAU said it would still most likely turn into a MMC as my dates were all wrong for me to be 6+1 and that sometimes you see "long slow progress but it will come to nothing in the end". She was a real charmer. Turned out she was right though. Very tough - as you all know only too well!
But the reason I wanted to post is because of the support from my GP since and I wondered if it might work for anyone else. I'd been told about a charity called Foresight who are all about pre-conceptual care. They recommend hair mineral analysis and a full screen GUI test for anyone who's MC'd. I took their paperwork to show my GP for her opinion and as she could see how worried I was the lovely lady sent me for a blood test for pretty much everything you could possibly think of (haven't had results yet)and is going to do a swab and a smear in a few weeks (TMI?)
I'd be really interested to hear if anyone else has heard about/been involved with Foresight? DH isn't keen to get too into that at this stage, thinks I'm getting a bit obsessive (can't think why !)
Sorry for the long post - hope that's not too bad form for a first timer! x

lissielewzealand · 25/11/2007 21:07

hi kate, sorry you are here but there are a lovley bunch of ladies who've been amazingly supportive. not heard of foresight. shall google them now!

kate2179 · 25/11/2007 21:14

they're at www.foresight-preconception.org.uk

sweetkitty · 25/11/2007 21:54

oh loads of posts will try and reply to them all but forgive me if I don't

jules - about the ice-cream, I go between can't face food and pigging out. I was doing OK but am getting a bit panicked now as the scan approaches. I know I have had two children and I try to think the mc was just a one off and this one will be fine. One day at a time, keep ticking off the days 7+3 today.

lissie - go kick some ass tomorrow, best of luck x

kate2179 - sorry you had to join us and about the mc but this is a fab thread loads of support some tears and a lot of laughter.

Lcy - no I didn't use a Clearblue Fertility Monitor, I used CBD opks first month after mc then ebay cheapies the next month.

ALBS - how are you doing? Have you resisted testing again?

Tjuice - am sure it's nothing but better to get checked out just to put your mind at rest, i had two heavy bright red bleeds with DD1 and she made it.

mcchesers - again another week your right every day that passes one more to that magic 12 weeks, see you at the finish line next July

big hello to everyone else, heres to a good week for everyone xxx

TwilightSurfer · 25/11/2007 22:16

Hi Ladies.
Been out Christmas window shopping with DD today. Now I'm trying to catch up.

Just thought I'd point out a thread of interest: TTC after MC Would any of you who are now pregnant be willing to offer your stats? She's looking for how long it took you to concieve after having MC. So far the time frames look pretty promising.

LoveAngelGabriel · 26/11/2007 08:20

Morning everyone. Sorry I haven't been around for a while as have had flu and been feeling too grim to even think about ttc. Also got my first (very heavy - sorry tmi!) period since m/c, which is adding to the general 'yuk' feeling. Have decided to leave ttc until the new year, as I really feel like my body needs a break. Hope you are all well. Any news on lissie? xx

queenofcups · 26/11/2007 08:57

AF is 28 days never late i used first response it was not first wee of the day i have been feeling sick for about a week on and off and felt sick this morning

TJuice · 26/11/2007 10:49

i think they say 48hrs to test again.

its funny though, i was talking to my friend about checking pg later and seeing a faint line - she had exactly the same thing as me, where i tossed mine in the bin, thinking it was a bfn, then fished out on a whim later to see a ghost line.

the problem is that then you think it could be evaporation.

well - i called in sick today, then went back to bed and missed the telephone hours for both the gynae and the midwives at the hospital.

the good news is that i haven't seen any more browniness, but i have this funny pain in the side of my lower abdomen. prolly just stretchiness but its a new one to me.

but a mcdonalds, a huge bag of pick and mix and watching Beowulf did take my mind off it last night (bloody viking saga when i wanted to see something a bit, you know, light and funny)
hope everyone is doing well.

i think taking a xmas break is probably a good idea and there may be a new batch of bfps after all the festivities

lissielewzealand · 26/11/2007 10:58

tjuice, think you should call epu, just to be on the safe side and rule out an ep. dont want to scare you, but better to be safe!

TJuice · 26/11/2007 11:19

hi lissie. is there any possibility of that when you have seen a baby in the uterus though? hmmm. just thinking that would have been picked up on one of my three scans but don't know . . . .

TJuice · 26/11/2007 11:20

by the way, hope you are doing okay? how are things?
