Is there any risk taking 5mg folic acid? I mean for women whose pgs have not indicated problem with bone formation. Wishing away the next two weeks. It could be a good sign that you feel a bit different this time.

OracleInaCoracle · 14/11/2007 09:24

i dont know, my consultant prescribed it and my gp gave me a top up this week.

sweetkitty · 14/11/2007 10:34

hi ladies

Well starting to feel mroe pregnant boobs are definitely growing and nipples super tender, am seeing this a good sign as last pregnancy my boobs did nothing, also feeling sick and going off food. Here's hoping it's because I had loads of HCG from a healthy bean floating about.

lissie - I am hoping you have a sticky one too if anyone deserves one you do, hope the next 2 weeks flies by for both of us, I so want us both to be on the same antenatal thread moaning about being fat and uncomfortable next year.

jules - grans eh I have had loads of "helpful" comments as I'm sure loads on here have ncluding
"maybe you can't carry boys"
"at least you have 2 DDs"
"maybe it's for the best 3 DC would be expensive"
"better now than later on or worse still it would have been handicapped"
and my all time fav for telling a woman who has had a mc "well there must have been something wrong with it," wow state the bleeding obvious

People eh?

Cricri - sorry about the BFN but as lissie says it can take a while for things to get back to normal, better to get an AF out the way and now where you are with your cycles then you can TTC with gusto

OracleInaCoracle · 14/11/2007 10:36

thank you. i am not leaving the house today, i want my knicker-checking to be uninhibited!

sweetkitty · 14/11/2007 11:04

Maybe we should have a Knicker Checkers Anonymous thread

OracleInaCoracle · 14/11/2007 11:36

lol, sounds good to me... still feeling ok, still sick and no bleeding.

cricri · 14/11/2007 12:14

Thanks SK and Lissie for making me feel better about BFN.
I know it all takes time - I'm just impatient unfortunately. I need to learn to relax. Easier said than done though!

TwilightSurfer · 14/11/2007 12:15

Okay this is a post-mc question: Today I am five days post-mc and my body is achey all over. Is this normal? It's like my whole body's experiencing total muscle fatigue. I'm also getting a few stichey type pains in my uterus? Is that it shrinking? I was only 10 weeks at the time of the mc so I didn't think much had grown. However today I feel like a train wreck.

sweetkitty · 14/11/2007 12:39

TS - I would probably say it is the mc causing the pains as your body gets back to normal, take a couple of painkillers and try to rest up. I believe your uterus grows very quickly when pregnant, my baby never got past 6 weeks and I found out at 8 weeks and mc at what would have been 10, there was so much bleeding and clots I couldn't believe all that could come out at 10 weeks pregnant (sorry if TMI), mine wasn't really painful only when I was having severe bleeding and that lasted about 4 hours each day thats when I felt really weak and could hardly walk.

TwilightSurfer · 14/11/2007 12:51

Thanks SK. I took a hot shower and that relaxed my muscles a bit. The uterus stitchey pain's stopped. It might have been a little IBS instead. Who knows? Just felt like crap for the first time since it all happened. Mentally strong....physcially bashed.

DUSTIN · 14/11/2007 13:38

Lissie Congratulations!!.

SK I had the same comments you mentioned, mostly from my mum. I know they are only trying to make you feel better but it doesn't help.

Cheekster Gran's say funny things. If it's any consolation I had 2 mc's before I had DS so at the time I believed it was '3rd time lucky'.

OracleInaCoracle · 14/11/2007 13:55

fuck, bollocks, shit.

tiny bit of brown blood in cm.

ive had enough of this.

ronshar · 14/11/2007 14:15

Lissie dont panic it might be nothing. What CD are you? Is it implantation bleeding or it could be a little bit of blood which sometimes happens to women who are early BFP. It can be around the same time as your AF would be!

scorpio1 · 14/11/2007 14:17

LISSIE

Wow!! Congrats, here's sending all the hope in the world your way

scorpio1 · 14/11/2007 14:18

oh sorry i didn't see your latest post. Hope you are ok, and that its nothing.

OracleInaCoracle · 14/11/2007 14:18

im CD29 so yes, around the time af would be. no backache or pain.. usually the first sign!

lissie - stay calm!
Thinking of you lots!

I just had a smear. My first ever at age 28 . Nowhere near as bad as i thought.
Of course now I'm paranoid that maybe i was pg and it will cause a m/c. Am cd18....

OracleInaCoracle · 14/11/2007 15:17

i hate smears. it will be fine, if you are pg then your cervix will be high and hard to protect the bean

and thank you x
